I am crazy about GT games but I never got to understand this intro. It starts of with a royal parade convention, then @ 1.48 seem like an advert from Gillette, finishing with a travel channel like celebration while cars are running around.... ?????.... Other than that game is AWESOME

Forza II is OK, better than GT5, that has a rushed look and feel to it. It's like a crap verison of GT4 best racing game ever. Having said that GT4 does lack that one thing Forza has and thats the mods to the cars.

@silins007 Forza is equally as good as Gran Turismo. I have been a loyal GT fan since I played the first one when I was young, and even I ended up liking Forza 2 even though I bashed it at first. Gran Turismo has better variety and graphics, while Forza has better customization. In the end, it all boils down to your opinion.

GT4 has the worst opening of all the GT's. In my opinion the others were great, but this? Good grief. First of all, where's the awesome guitar solo in the middle, full of energy? Its non-exsistent, thats what. And the close up, fast paced action shots? (Which were plentiful and awesome in GT2, for example) are virtually non-exsistent. Replaced by what. Some boring, still pictures from photo mode. I'm aware they wanted to show off this new new feature, but this was not the way to do it...

lol every single japanese intro is "moon over castle" from number 1 to number 5.. I guess in japan it's sort of become the GT War Cry.. un US/EU moon over castle has been swapped out every. single. time. while I like those versions too, I wonder if this is tampering with art... I guess kazunori doesn't mind. but it would be nice to play something exactly as how he indended. though most of us still need the english text and currency, having all the japanese music would be cool.

Just have to say that out of all the GT games released, including GT5, this is still the best intro in my eyes. It just gets your adrenaline pumping, and leaves you itching to get behind the wheel of your favorite "vee-hickle" and burn rubber, or take just one more shot at getting gold trophies on your license tests.

Two things:

1) Polyphony used magic to get the graphics of GT4 on a PS2. And still get 1080i HD out of it.

2) When I first bought this game, that intro sent a chill down my spine. It makes me annoyed that I missed out on the Moon Over the Castle remix in Europe, because this just owns it.

The big difference between this and the US version, for those that don't know, is that the music switched from this epic Moon Over The Castle remix to the equally epic "Panama" from Van Halen halfway through the intro.
