@ponty32 Ninja does not mean spy or assassin, the kanji is in 2 parts Nin is (heart and blade) and Ja is (Person). I know this because I trained in the Bujinkan for over 10years. You should read Ninjutsu History & Tradition, Essences of Ninjutsu both by Hatsumi, and Ninja The Invisible Assassins By Andrew Adams. Also just to let you know that Togakure Ryu is Japans first known martial art.
Of course I know what ninja means. I have freaking Chinese as first language and I also read Japanese quite well. You're right, they are not necessarily spys or assassin. But it is one of the jobs they do for a living on the battle field during war periods.

@ tucense... Better yet I'd like yo see an mma fighter on the street with no mat, rules or sanctions to protect him... THEN go after a well trained Bujinkan or any combat fighter for that matter... I think it would separate the reality from the games...
@tucense There arent rules since the point of Ninjutsu is killing quickly... MMA fights last half an hour and I never EVER heard about anyone who died in a MMA fight
@nicetrickz All I'm saying is.. Without weapons, a no glove no rule no referee MMA fighter with the intention to kill would definetly kill this guy. I don't think an old man ninja is going to be able to poke enough eyes or kick groins and bite someone who just broke their jaw.
I've been developing a one-handed style of Krav Maga, as you can probably guess this is DIFFICULT. I believe all people deserve the right to defend themselves no matter the hindrance. Some say I'm mad, I'm not, I'm dedicated.
Does anyone ACTUALLY know the true origins of Ninjutsu? For those of you debating this, I will say, time has changed it as a discipline. As a Martial Artists I say, what we teach/learn now is only a fraction of the true disciplines. All disciplines must adapt to change. More weapons means more risk, this requires new techniques.
@thebolder89 The former User "chosonNinja" used to upload videos of techniques for police situatios involving firearms. and some current Military entities are developing and updating their martial arts usage (Marine Martial Arts, Updated Krav Maga, Russian "Systema", even some ninjustu teachers offer special training for military personel (At least in Chile that happens, aproved by the defence minister) and personal bodyguards besides the common public training offered.)
@TACxupetemany non -oriental country use oriental martiaL ARTS..OR USE MARTIAL ARTS IN ADDITION TO CREATED THEIR OWN..BUT THE CREDIT STILL BELONG TO THE ORIENTALS..
@thebolder89 i believe ninjutsu started in japan, around before the edo period, when samurai used to be in control. and yes, i agree that the art of weapons takes many years to grasp.
"Masaaki Hatsumi is the sensei of my sensei and he have teached me."
masaaki hatsumi has been continuing takamatsu's lie for over 40 years, he has never taught ninjutsu. nor does he know it, since takamatsu didn't either...
takamatsu made up Toda Masamitsu Shinryuken, teaching him ninjutsu when he was a kid, AFTER kukishin told him he couldnt pretend they taught him ninjutsu.
Your correcting simple errors on a youtube page. Like Capitalizing ect.? That is like fixing a text. o lOOK I messed up. Come on. Secound I know for a fact the ten percent THING (which sounds like you know alot about it) is scientifically correct. Of course alot of scientists that work for the higher up will spread lies. Especially global warming. They will be killed or worse for coming out with the truth about that. You have done nothing but make yourself look like an ass. Just for next time,
sup faggot. did you miss the reply button or were you too scared i would come back and show you to be entirely full of shit as you were the first time u posted....
"Secound I know for a fact the ten percent THING (which sounds like you know alot about it) is scientifically correct."
HAHAHAHAHAHA so you can CITE a PEER REVIEWED SOURCE??
" Of course alot of scientists that work for the higher up will spread lies. Especially global warming."
So I mean really is that all you people got? DIsproven that is a lie. This is the truth and here is the evidence! O that doesnt matter! We have faith! Faith is an action word. It means to do something. You have to have faith to be saved. Its talking about power meditation. You have to empower your soul, to do something, to be saved. I meditate four hours a day, thus taking my brain over ten percent. Work out. Read three to four books a day. ECT. What do you do? Hocus pocus! Now I can die!
@TheSatanwarrior its partially true that of what you say, in order for something to have effect, action must be taken. but don't take this lightly as it requires much time and effort to muster. This is something NO ONE CAN TEACH YOU. in order to unlock the truth, you must go into deep meditation. You learn everything from deep your own soul, not anyone else. So be careful where you fall because once your in, you will never come back out. REMEMBER: in his realm, there are 3 stages of punishment..
Lord, please forgive this person. Take the blindfold from their eyes. Forgive them and bring light into their heart. Tear the sheep's clothing from the wolves that beckon them.
And please God, smite the enemy for this intrusion. Please pummel the demons that work this darkness.
@downstube Lol what a retard. Ahh it burns you sent the thoughtform after me! O wait im still here. So your lord wouldnt have done that unless you asked? You see its about YOU. Thats right its not about a God or some being. It is about YOU. You were the one to ask for this to happen! So because you asked now it will be done! Whatever.... On to something important. Satan is the sanscrit word for eternal truth. In the most oldest and powerful language Satanism means eternal truthism.
@downstube Fool...you yourself is as blind as he is. You cannot help those who already taken the path of their own will. Follow your own path and help those who seek the same path. What you are doing is impossible and selfish. Remember that creator gave us freewill, and its our choice to choose where to go. Choose a side and follow it.
"Remember that creator gave us freewill," -assertion, you ASSERT that there is a creator, and he gave us freewill... provide evidence for this claim.
"and its our choice to choose where to go." -nope, no choice... we all die, we all go in the ground.
"Choose a side and follow it."
so much for religions being about peace, the us vs them mentality is so neanderthal, can't you manage to use something just a little more coherent?
Glassydream and arteanor. It is okay to have differing opinions and equally okay to accept anothers beliefs. Ya don't have to make some one else believe what you believe. bask in the freedom of self expression and the freedom to have your own mind. And.

@silveraven1 u never been in a karate class or anything before? you train the moves to try and make them become reaction and than you apply them real time with the person moving or resisting. Your comment confuses me, its not supposed to be impressive, he wouldnt use real swords and cut his students...
"u never been in a karate class or anything before?"
we aren't talking about karate. were talking about the bujinkan.
"you train the moves to try and make them become reaction and than you apply them real time with the person moving or resisting. " this doesnt happen in the bujinkan. ask around.
"Your comment confuses me, its not supposed to be impressive, he wouldnt use real swords and cut his students..."
but they don't do sparring, because their training is "too lethal" for it
@Arteanor 1. I wasn't talking to you though in the first place though so we weren't talking about anything to begin with right?
2. the majority of martial arts practice self defense that way karate is done the same way where the person lets you do the move to them without hurting you its how its taught, i used another art as a comparison, karate
3. thats just an assumption, you see certain clubs do sparring its just not mandatory or encouraged, same with karate/TKD...etc
1. well yes but my comment wasnt @ you though was it?
2. of course no two arts train exactly the same, dont tell me they dont teach moves like that where the person will go with it so you can learn, 'isnt quite how" youre just splitting hairs
3. well my friend spars in his bujinkan, its not forced its not a mandatory class but its on saturday , i was told the grand master there said sparring is not encouraged within the school but youre free to challenge others, its not forbidden
1 dont be asinine, your attempt to hide in public sight is pathetic.
2 i never said they were, you are making a strawman fallacy. however i DO know that karate has no moves to ' go along with'... so the example you chose is flawed.
3 your friend says he spars? we should write hatsumi, he doesnt allow that in the bujinkan.
no mention has EVER been made of challenge, else all of his 15th dan would have asked for their money back when beaten by noobies and nobodies.
@Area Or not sure where you train but ive trained under stephen k. hayes at his numerous quest centers and he encereges sparing. you can practice a technique a thousand times but if you dont learn to apply it properly on an actual opponent then the technique is worthless.and by the way mr. hayes is the only person outside of japan who has permission to teach hatsumi's technics as he is and was his last student and was entrusted with continuing his teachings by hatsumi himself.
all i have to say is, to all the people that look with just their eyes at a video and think they understand it (ex: judging whether a video is bullshit or not bullshit), you cant judge by just your eyes. if you cant feel (and therefore test it) it its not going to do you any good.
when that video contains things that have never been part of what the video is labeled as.
we KNOW what was part of ninjutsu and what wasn't, we can read the shinobi manuals, ( bansenshukai, ninpiden, shoninki) we KNOW that the shinobi DID NOT have a unifying martial art of taijutsu, because such an art would give away which of the group was a shinobi... it makes no sense...
ninjutsu was a set of skills taught to soldiers to make shinobi (spies, infiltrators)
by stepping forward/diagonally and moving perfectly with him in the middle of his stepping in. its wierd but i felt what he was trying to do in a split second and countered, pushing him at the right moment using his momentum to push him forward to the ground while i just walked on past him in passing. its really wierd but idk what else to say. it was pretty cool though. he was like wtf that never fails. oh well. sorry
funny as the over exaggerated moves may look, the main point everybody misses is that they are designed to teach you balance and flow. even in mma, if you cant keep your center and advantageous positioning relative to what your opponent is doing, you usually lose. its finally making sense after all these years. i had a wrestler try to take me down recently by stepping in and behind me with the leg for a throw setup. i didnt even know what he was doing, i just felt his weight and countered
i think training to the point that, you have removed the holds locks and attacks that are barred by the rules from your instinctual responses, you are creating bad training... hence since it has to follow rules, i feel mma is bad training... for fighting,
however... there is NO adequate substitute to the real visceral beatings that happen in mma, and that makes it a valuable PART of a larger training curriculum...
we are all MMArtists, what changes is the extent, and the arts
There are many ninjutsu practitioners who won tournaments, one of them is Frank W. Dux who won 320 matches in the Kumite Tournaments, a World record holder in the kumite division, they made a movie for frank w. dux which is BloodSport, starring jean claude van Damme.
@mizututi I think I read somewhere, that some Hwa rang Do Teachers are saying that both Shaolin and Ninjutsu Arts came form them ( Korea).......well,...........I know it raises a LOT of eye brows(including mine)
hatsumi has never demonstrated anything beyond the VERY BASEST ninjutsu....
he ONLY knows what takamatsu researched... neither of them was ever actually trained in ninjutsu...
that is why we have NO MENTION of the person takamatsu says trained him,,,,
hell when takamatsu started training hatsumi and tanemura he still hadn't made up 'togakure ryu' name yet... he was calling it kukishin ryu ninpo. which the kuki didn't like, since they NEVER taught him it....
if you think something i have said is incorrect i would hope that you can correct me... however i won't just be taking your word for it, you actually have to prove your case....
MMA today laughs at arts like these and many people think that MMA is superior to any art which is not true none is but i must tell you that Bujinkan is no joke and anybody who doubts that should locate their nearest dojo and go to it and truly experience it for themselves in person.
i am not really asking for that much as proof am i?
i am just asking you to confirm WHICH lineage is the correct one, and make sure it is one that actually has REAL names and dates... not the fabrications takamatsu told to the BRD repeatedly.
you should actually WATCH the videos from TSOAS2008... you could learn a LOT, most of the commenters are pretty knowledgeable...
@Arte Or unlike u i dont give credit to every guy who wears a black suits or puts up a video. the lineage is written in the scroll unchanged since the founder of the school about 1200 years ago. i dont know what more i can tell u. just takamatsu's family (toda) has had d sokeship for a quiet a few generations. i will tell u this, from my experience in this art i can safely say at none of the information is made up.it cant be made up.u want made up schools look up asada shim.
"So yes, these “famous” densho, I had the chance to see them and read a few. Now to say that Takamatsu sensei created these schools is hard to say, and to prove… Even Hatsumi sensei says openly that he doesn’t know. "
LOVE to hear that, FROM KACEM,,, how is THAT for credibility?
he is your groups historian in your pocket, and even HE says he, and your soke, aren't sure...
you should actually WATCH the videos from TSOAS2008... you could learn a LOT, most of the commenters are pretty knowledgeable i will tell u this, i dont even give credit to guys that have been in the bujinkan for over 30+ yrs none the less some guy w alot of free time putting up videos on youtube.that is d diff between us, hence the level and caliber of our information.u get ur info from watching videos youtube i get from the source itself.
" Kwoon: Have you seen Hatsumi sensei’s famous densho and makimono? Corollary to that question: Many say that even Takamatsu sensei did not really posses a certain number of schools and that ninjutsu was in fact dead. KZ: This is a question that comes up a lot, even among members of the Bujinkan, which proves that their knowledge is very limited, and that goes for their way of moving as well."
"This goes even for people who have received very high grades and who present themselves as direct students of Hatsumi sensei.
First of all, the densho and makimono were not written by Hatsumi sensei, these are densho and makimono that were written by Takamatsu sensei. Among the densho that Hatsumi sensei received from Takamatsu sensei we find the writing of Ishitani sensei who was one of Takamatsu sensei’s three masters."
unlike other profits hatsumi never came public or told anyone about his spiritual development.it was the discovery of his students trading under him.he is truly at the pinnacle of spiritual development.
Arrogance has no place in the traing halls.

@warriorarts1
so you volunteer yourself?
here's the problem with your little scenario...
even when the MMA knocks your fake ninja wannabe to the dirt, you will come back with umpteen excuses and explanations for why it doesn't count...
all of this, and it STILL doesn't change that hatsumi has NEVER shown ANY EVIDENCE for his CLAIMS to ninjutsu ryuha....
however, we can PROVE that takamatsu already tried to pass of his 'taijutsu' as being part of 'kukishin ryu ninpo'... we know hes fake

@nicetrickz All I'm saying is.. Without weapons, a no glove no rule no referee MMA fighter with the intention to kill would definetly kill this guy. I don't think an old man ninja is going to be able to poke enough eyes or kick groins and bite someone who just broke their jaw.

@tucense his jaw wont be broke... and the MMA fightboy will be dead... the end =/

funny story...
shaolin is ALSO the name of a classification system of chinese martial arts, it was developed in the 50's to promote national pride in their culture.
wudan and shaolin are funny names to choose, since shaolin was a real place, but it has lead to all sorts of misconceptions about shaolin temple.

Does anyone ACTUALLY know the true origins of Ninjutsu? For those of you debating this, I will say, time has changed it as a discipline. As a Martial Artists I say, what we teach/learn now is only a fraction of the true disciplines. All disciplines must adapt to change. More weapons means more risk, this requires new techniques.
thebolder89 10 months ago
@thebolder89 The former User "chosonNinja" used to upload videos of techniques for police situatios involving firearms. and some current Military entities are developing and updating their martial arts usage (Marine Martial Arts, Updated Krav Maga, Russian "Systema", even some ninjustu teachers offer special training for military personel (At least in Chile that happens, aproved by the defence minister) and personal bodyguards besides the common public training offered.)

masaaki hatsumi has been continuing takamatsu's lie for over 40 years, he has never taught ninjutsu. nor does he know it, since takamatsu didn't either...
takamatsu made up Toda Masamitsu Shinryuken, teaching him ninjutsu when he was a kid, AFTER kukishin told him he couldnt pretend they taught him ninjutsu.

TheSatanwarrior 11 months ago
@TheSatanwarrior its partially true that of what you say, in order for something to have effect, action must be taken. but don't take this lightly as it requires much time and effort to muster. This is something NO ONE CAN TEACH YOU. in order to unlock the truth, you must go into deep meditation. You learn everything from deep your own soul, not anyone else. So be careful where you fall because once your in, you will never come back out. REMEMBER: in his realm, there are 3 stages of punishment..

"u never been in a karate class or anything before?"
we aren't talking about karate. were talking about the bujinkan.
"you train the moves to try and make them become reaction and than you apply them real time with the person moving or resisting. " this doesnt happen in the bujinkan. ask around.
"Your comment confuses me, its not supposed to be impressive, he wouldnt use real swords and cut his students..."
but they don't do sparring, because their training is "too lethal" for it
Arteanor 11 months ago
@Arteanor 1. I wasn't talking to you though in the first place though so we weren't talking about anything to begin with right?
2. the majority of martial arts practice self defense that way karate is done the same way where the person lets you do the move to them without hurting you its how its taught, i used another art as a comparison, karate
3. thats just an assumption, you see certain clubs do sparring its just not mandatory or encouraged, same with karate/TKD...etc
GlassyDream 11 months ago
@GlassyDream
1 we were both speaking in the public forum no? just checking... ya im not reading pms from other people...
2 ok... it ISN'T quite how all or even most MA or karate ( a term that is VERY broad...) train, in fact sir the only assumption is yours.
3 no, it is a regurgitation of the answer given to me by several of the members of the bujinkan. as it was given to them by hatsumi. so they say...
i corrected your assertion, those things dont happen in the bujinkan. ever
Arteanor 11 months ago
@Arteanor
1. well yes but my comment wasnt @ you though was it?
2. of course no two arts train exactly the same, dont tell me they dont teach moves like that where the person will go with it so you can learn, 'isnt quite how" youre just splitting hairs
3. well my friend spars in his bujinkan, its not forced its not a mandatory class but its on saturday , i was told the grand master there said sparring is not encouraged within the school but youre free to challenge others, its not forbidden
GlassyDream 11 months ago
@GlassyDream
Arteanor 11 months ago
@Area Or not sure where you train but ive trained under stephen k. hayes at his numerous quest centers and he encereges sparing. you can practice a technique a thousand times but if you dont learn to apply it properly on an actual opponent then the technique is worthless.and by the way mr. hayes is the only person outside of japan who has permission to teach hatsumi's technics as he is and was his last student and was entrusted with continuing his teachings by hatsumi himself.

all i have to say is, to all the people that look with just their eyes at a video and think they understand it (ex: judging whether a video is bullshit or not bullshit), you cant judge by just your eyes. if you cant feel (and therefore test it) it its not going to do you any good.
nicholasvendingco 1 year ago
@nicholasvendingco
EXCEPT!
when that video contains things that have never been part of what the video is labeled as.
we KNOW what was part of ninjutsu and what wasn't, we can read the shinobi manuals, ( bansenshukai, ninpiden, shoninki) we KNOW that the shinobi DID NOT have a unifying martial art of taijutsu, because such an art would give away which of the group was a shinobi... it makes no sense...
ninjutsu was a set of skills taught to soldiers to make shinobi (spies, infiltrators)
Arteanor 1 year ago
hell, i almost dont even look at what my opponent is doing anymore if theyre close. i just feel it and go with it.

by stepping forward/diagonally and moving perfectly with him in the middle of his stepping in. its wierd but i felt what he was trying to do in a split second and countered, pushing him at the right moment using his momentum to push him forward to the ground while i just walked on past him in passing. its really wierd but idk what else to say. it was pretty cool though. he was like wtf that never fails. oh well. sorry
nicholasvendingco 1 year ago
funny as the over exaggerated moves may look, the main point everybody misses is that they are designed to teach you balance and flow. even in mma, if you cant keep your center and advantageous positioning relative to what your opponent is doing, you usually lose. its finally making sense after all these years. i had a wrestler try to take me down recently by stepping in and behind me with the leg for a throw setup. i didnt even know what he was doing, i just felt his weight and countered
nicholasvendingco 1 year ago

i think training to the point that, you have removed the holds locks and attacks that are barred by the rules from your instinctual responses, you are creating bad training... hence since it has to follow rules, i feel mma is bad training... for fighting,
however... there is NO adequate substitute to the real visceral beatings that happen in mma, and that makes it a valuable PART of a larger training curriculum...

It is not only an art of invisibility that Hatsumisensei is teaching.
The teacher has acquired the military arts of a lot of sects.
There is only Hatsumisensei if the art of invisibility of the truth is learnt.

Corollary to that question: Many say that even Takamatsu sensei did not really posses a certain number of schools and that ninjutsu was in fact dead.
