  • I took a tour of her in September or October 2004 when she was visiting great yarmouth and I was there on holiday...there was a little bald guy who gave a bit of a talk about life at sea in the late 1790s.. very friendly chap and well informed

  • Ah! I see that there is an infernal combustion engine a-work there!

  • Yes, two 450hp diesels.

  • Ngiyabonga! (IsiZulu: I thank you!). The old gal certainly skedaddles along with those two assisting her.

  • Jeg ELSKER denne båten!!! xD

    I LOVE this boat!!! xD

  • I was wondering how she was making so much speed with only 3 small staysills up, then I saw the propwash. Is she a modern built copy of the era.

  • worked on her as a crew member for a bit, fantastic boat to sail on

  • nice ship looking forward too see the ship in delfzijl in 2009 with delfsail

ps where is the music from?

  • It is a lovely ship, pity it's up for sale. Delfsail 2009 looks like a wonderful event, I've never seen more than one ship at a time.

The music is played by a group of Whitby buskers called Freedoms Road, they sell their cd's on the street where they play.

  • ill do u a swap u cum live in this bloody awfull town do my job on esk bell u will start to wish u had neva won the lottery haha

glad u enjoyed the trip on the esk bell

  • I'll look forward to seeing you in September, I'm due another trip on the Esk belle.

  • I remember her when she was docked at South Quay Great Yarmouth..what an impressive sight.thanks for the footage

  • I was very apprehensive about going out on the Esk Belle, I'm not a good sailor, but when I saw the Grand Turk and we followed her, it was a sight I'll never forget. Just got back yesterday from a weeks holiday in Whitby, it wasn't the same with the Turk not there. You're lucky to live so close and in a beautiful area, our dream too is for the lottery win to enable us to live there, as it is it's a three hour drive.

  • Beautiful ship. The queue was far too long for me to wait in.

    Great stuff.
