  • Thank you so much for posting. This has reminded me how little metta I have shown myself recently, and that is why I have been so unloving to others too. Thank you.

  • @Arneneithel that's a very good insight. We do get back what we reflect outward, mostly, but not always. Some people are simply mean and the nicer you are the meaner they will be. Its important not to encourage them by bowing too much. Right understanding and Right action are part of the middle way, in the noble eightfold path also Sadhu

  • Awesome , thanks for posting.

  • It is blessing for non buddhists like us who are very interested in learning buddhist. Nirvava to you.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, it is but the some of the monks are Thai and the people may be from different Buddhist cultures

  • You are doing wonderful deed. Metta to you and your love ones.

  • Thankyou so much 1laochild. Very good of you to say that. It is a blessing to see the love of the people in the temple respecting and loving each other and honoring the Sangha like that

  • May the blessings of both Christ & Buddha be with you. Metta & shalom !!

  • Thank you for sharing this lovingkindness video. May buddha in you shine out more to others.

    Nirvana to you.

  • I chant this every Tuesday night at the temple with the monks and laypeople. We actually "sing" it rather than just speak it as in the vid.

  • cool!

  • This is great!

  • I'm from Indonesia, so forgive me for my poor english. This is my favorite paritta through all the parittas i've known. Rendering this paritta helps me to do good to others and to avoid myself from hatred.

    Sabbe satta bhavantu sukhitatta,

    May all beings be happy.

Thank you for posting this wonderdul paritta Shilpusuresh :)

  • You are so welcome 74n7y. I am happy that it is such a blessing to you halfway across the world in Indonesia. How lovely that our hearts can unite like this in radiating lovingkindness to the entire world

  • Dear Shilpusuresh,

Thank you for your work and sharing many precious Sutras with us.

May you be free of danger.

    May you have mental happiness.

    May you have physical happiness.

May you have ease of well being.

    Metta.

  • Thank you for the mindful and considerate words and Sutra for me. It means so much. I really appreciate it. I have sent you a friend invite and thank you again

  • i see the some monk smile and laugh is that right are they suppose to be very serious and maintain a good behavior.

  • Buddhist monks, always smile and laugh. Even in the Buddha's time people noticed that the Buddha and his disciples were always happy unlike other monks. True understanding brings happiness. They see the true nature of things so they do not have attachment that causes suffering.

  • so a monk must be honest, loving, caring, trust etc. do the monk happy and thoughtful people. do they hate or kill. is there any crime in the temple that is hiding. my concern is are the monks really always a good symbol of peace and love or they only pray for themselve and have all the good for them. do they pray or show concern to the people.

  • Not sure if I understand your comment shaspear. What are you really asking or saying? Have you had bad experiences with monks? Are you from a religion that puts down monastic traditions? Monks don't have to care for anyone but themselves, technically. Buddhist monks develop their own mind by meditation, chanting and non-attaching. Not harming is an integral part of their practice, so why you would you ask if they hate or kill. Monks meditate and chant for happiness.

  • Feels good to hear, thank you for sharing, this healing, soothing chant.

  • MOUNTAIN DEW!

  • Monks like to DEW it too! LoL!

  • This is beautiful. Lovely pictures, as well.

    Thank you for sharing!

  • these people need to help us help the world within us to defeat the illuminiti, new world order. any plans in the pipelines???/

  • Thank You! Good to know there are still monks with us in this world.

  • We need them. We need those who dedicate their lives to solitude to develop their mind and pave the way for humanity with their good wishes. I hope the monastic and sacred will continue to be honored throughout the generations of humanity

  • Thanks so much! I'm gonna accept your invitation right now.

    Love and Compassion,

    Jendhamuni

  • Thank you jendhamuni, how nice you are. I stayed up to upload a video with the Pali chant Jaya Mangala Gatha (Verses of Joyous Victory and Blessing) because of your encouraging and kind words. May you be happy!

  • Very beautiful and color video!

  • Thank you jendhamuni, loved your channel too. I have sent you a friend invite to add you as a friend

  • I am a burmese buddhist.

Chanting tangue of us is a little different from India. Can someone pls give me the source where I can get sanskrit chanting of buddha suttas.

  • Hi moearkar have you tried Buddhanet Audio website. They have audio chants in every cultural and liguistic style. Mostly Pali is the closest you will find to Sanskrit. Most Buddhist sutras are done in Pali since that was the derived language from Sanskrit in the Buddhist regions in India after the Buddha's time

  • In our country, Burma, we use pali to learn buddhism. I will also try buddhanet. Thanks. if you have detail web address.. pls share with me. Thanks again

  • Hi moearkar, You Tube won't allow us to put web addresses in comments so I have sent you an email separately with the URL for Buddha Net recordings of chants. Thanks

  • Karaniya Metta Sutta is about of moral conduct required by one who wishes to attain Purity and Peace of mind

  • Karaniya Metta means lovingkindness. Its a state of mind that one can cultivate and the purity and peace are a natural result. The moral conduct should be a result but kayaniya metta as a state of mind is not necessarily an action or a behavior to begin with

  • I've been to Thailand 3 times, with about 6 months in total in Asia. I am very fortunate to say that I have seen some of the greatest temples in the World. They ranged from plain to ornate, from the tops of mountais to built inside of caves. Just great!

Next time I want to go to Lao, hopefully the language is close enough to my Thai- I only speak a little bit! Phom poot passa Thai dai nitnoy, khrap!

  • werd you get the "phom" and the "passa" bit from other than that good job on trying to write a languages that has its own scripts in english

  • Maybe Burmese? Or Lao? Some of the men are wearing a plaid scarf, that's not Thai that I know of, unless it's from one of the Hilltribes...

  • You're giving me multiple choice here "codent." But okay, close enough, its Lao. You seem very familiar with the culture. Have you been out east?

  • excellent! It seems to be a Thai temple, but in the US. What gave it away are the cars parked on the lawn and the one monk getting a case of mountain dew as a gift. It's the thought that counts, remember!

Compassion and Lovingkindness to all, wherever we are....

  • Great observation codent. You're right, the temple is in the US, not quite Thai but close. I know some of the monks and people there. Very loving community indeed!

  • Apparently, more folks seem to watch this video then the other one I have with the Monks chanting the English version of the Lovingkindness Sutra ... Click on my name Shilpusuresh or select More From This User to see the other video

  • Thanks

  • beautiful
