  • strong chest but no calves...he is powerlifter ?

  • @RyScott85 agreed man. middle to top tri's. bottom to middle chest. I like wide grip smith machine presses (wide as you can go). Try that out for chest as assitance after your compound movement.

  • @rayhayden2006 too wide of a grip is ahrd on the shoulders with no added benefit.

  • Sorry buddy a partial reps is a partial rep.. maybe he has some injury that prevents him from doing the full movement. Seems to me that he does full range on everything else. And to everyone else that says partial is ok. Yeah, it can be if you do the bottom part and go half way up, (asee Ronnie's benching), but half way to top is mostly triceps.

  • @RyScott85 Hate to tell you since you seem to know everything, but you are not supposed to go down to your chest with incline because it puts way too much strain on the anterior deltoid.

  • @nickysantoro314 I don't know everything, ( although by the sound of things it sounds like you think you do) however; if you do full range of motion on exercises, you break down more muscle fibers... hence more hypertrophy. Although sometimes injurys prevent that.. if that were the case, it'd be understandable.

  • @RyScott85 Its not a matter of injury preventing it. It is a matter of preventing injury by doing things correctly. Ask any personal trainer worth their salts and they will tell you that touching your chest on incline bench puts way too much strain on your anterior deltoids. You should not go much past arms parallel to the ground. His form is right on, which is why he does the full ROM on everything else as you said.

  • @RyScott85 Lol at you saying that this guy who ACTUALLY COMPETES and OWNS SCIVATION has bad form. Apparently he is doing more right than you are. ROM past where he is going would put stress on the delts and could result in injury, especially pushing over 300lbs. Clearly by his results, he is getting a long fine without attempting to injure himself.

  • no offense but alot of yall must be noob's when it comes to body building, did you see the width and thickness in his upper and lower chest when he sat up? obvisiously the partial reps do work for him...its all about what works for you and sometimes if you change it up and do something like partial reps you body will respond amazingly

  • Your telling him to lose the ego? Thats called Forced Reps. The only thing I don't agree with here is that he doesn't use a full ROM, but I think he does that to keep stress on his chest at all times.

  • its crazy how all these stupid comments come up...its usually the ones that cant get any stronger or just started working out and dont know anything yet. partial reps keep stress on the muscles being trained...any higher triceps take over so save that for tricep day and all the way down can be too stressful on the shoulder joints...no reason to train full range unless your a powerlifter and have to get certain range for a meet.

  • Nice partial reps, drop the weight and lose the ego.

  • Your spotter picked up the last 2

  • Inspiring, dude.
