@lamfp It's actually been playable for a while... You try emulating a system that still challenges modern computers on a handheld at maybe one tenth the power, with a different architecture, from scratch. Don't forget, they're still working on it, and regularly releasing revisions!

Psp has this game and the second one that play fine. Why emulate the dreamcast one. From what i've been playing on the psp there freakin identical. I wish i could play this on psp but i can't even play the n64 emu with out the psp freezing up.

He isnt emulating a Dreamcast for this game, He is using it to test with. He could have played any other Dreamcast game but just used Crazy taxy instead for testing the emulator out. I cant beleve you didnt realise that.

The odd thing is the Saturn has massive potential yet they seemed to have forgot about it, whereas this doesn't have the potential to even run anywhere near full FPS as the Saturn does.

Playing dc games on psp is a big joke, there is no way you going to get any playable dc games to run on psp and it graphics problems.

I've seen one device run nulldc which is called wibrain the graphics look good and some games run slow and some run fast, Wibrain can run other emulator with full speed inc. psx,n64,mame one of the best emulator i have ever seen on any device and runs more games than the psp mame version.

If they can make a Dreamcast emulator for the PSP why didn't they ever make one for the Xbox that's much more powerful? anyway, this will never run full speed considering the power of the PSP, it wouldn't on the Xbox either. Maybe if Xbox 360 and PS3 were homebrew friendly then possibly. I say just get a Dreamcast cheap on Ebay and get games (it plays backups too) because there's tons of great games for it.

Although the slim can take a little more of a punch than the fat model, *perfect* DC emulation is not possible on either system, even if it may become a little more bearable than this in the future (like N64 emulation both on the PSP and in general). The dude behind this version of the NullDC emulator has said that exactly, the system processing capability is just not there in the PSP (disregarding other emulation problems). Perhaps you talked to an imposter, or you were mistaken?

no, it isn't possible. For nullDC to run decently on a PC you need an highend GeForce 6 and a 2Ghz CPU at least, the PSP is waaaaaaaay less powerful.

Clearly it's possible to get at least some DC games to run, albeit slowly of course. With a little bit of tweaking as to how the emulator handles graphics and forcing a decent frameskip setting, DC games may prove more capable on the PSP in the future, with sound and so forth sacrificed of course (much like with the N64's emulation on the PSP). Not perfection by ANY means, but bearable, playable in time, perhaps. Only time will tell- have a *little* faith. :D

A little graphics interpretation tweaking and frameskip would help some of the speed and graphical issues in time, but sadly we'll never see a PSP play Dreamcast games in all their glory. The numbers just aren't there, in terms of processing power. It's not just a matter of good or bad emulator coding. :(

reply to ninetailedbeast5 - I got nullDC full speed. Its not hard, just use the missing mhz of the processor on the Memory Stick (You need a 8GB one) then use the P.e.o.p.s Soft draw engine to squeeze down the graphics slightly.. Now its full speed!

google nulldc(the download is in a forum 1.6- lattest i think i duno which ver is best or w/e)...then um well...ppl bitch its ilegal and dont wana give out bios links but yet...they have this shit working(meaning theyre just as much of pirates as anyone else) im refering to the bios...u gota find the bios and drop them in the "data" folder after u install...then rename bios.bin file to "dc_boot"(the file extension shud be .bin)

use bittorent for downloading games ;)

Saturn is HARD to emulate, thats part of the reason it crashed against the PSX, devs just couldn't produce for it. Then on the other hand you get the likes of Treasure, who I may add turn everything to gold, pull of Silvergun with those graffix
