  • It was far from a "Normal Approach". These guys knew they had no wheels and still they kept their cool and executed a great landing. A 767 without wheels flies much different due to power requirements. I'd bet they only did that once in the simulator and that was a long time ago. Great Job!

  • Let's talk about Kim Fat Ass Kardashian fake marriage and not recognize a true Hero like Tadeusz who saved so many lives. I wanna see Larry King interviewing Tadeusz like he interviewed the pilot that landed the plane on the Hudson river. The whole world should take the hat off to this man and anybody who thinks they can fly better, prove it. Kocham Polska !

  • Polak potrafi !

You can't do it? Send Polish guy,he will do it !

  • This is basically a normal approach to landing just with out the wheels, the crew isn't doing anything really special but they did earn their pay. Once that thing is on the ground the crew is just a long for the ride like the rest of the people on board.

He did what others do only in simulators. I think this situation will be discussed not only in media, but also on professional training. Many people in many professions trains emergency procedures, but fortunately only few have to check if they work. But in real life comes pressure and You are aware of those people whose life lies in Yours hands. That doesn't help. If something goes wrong there will be no game over and "Restart" button.

  • @Vipersden11 I'm sure you do a perfect landing, everyday when you jump on your couch. And the word is "along", not "a long". Let us know when you repeat what they just did, OK?

  • @akytilop Well if you must know, of the 12,300 pilot in command hours I have, I've had a catastrophic engine failure at 34,000' with a successful landing, I've had a trim tab failure where the trim was stuck in a nose up configuration, no option for a go-around with that one. I've had a window blow out as the result of a bird strike. I know the training that is involved and I know what goes on up there, I train and fly all the time. They did good but what else were they supposed to do.

  • @Vipersden11

That is impressive pilot record. At least for me a wannabe pilot, flying in virtual skies of FSX and DCS ;) Landing was good because they did it by the book. No necessary bravery. Which leads us almost 2 years ago when a pilot of polish Air Force One wanted so badly to land in very bad conditions that he broke almost all the rules and crashed. The conclusion is - Don't be a hero. OK 'nuff of this :) Safe skies, and remember: "Fly low and slow" :)

  • Very very good... respect for the crew/captain!!! He landed this plane better than other pilots with landing gear...

  • Very very good... respect for the crew/captain!!!

  • wow!!! he kept the nose and wings out of the ground til the end....that belly absorb the whole landing. Amazing flying skills....bet he can easily apply for AirForceOne

  • @gaae2000 It was basically a normal 767 approach without wheels. That was a regular approach with flaps and flare, and once it touched on the ground theres nothing more to do than sit back and wait for it to stop, really. But it is a good pilot

  • Wow. He made this landing look so easy. Hats off!!! Panie Tadeuszu, mieszkam w Jersey i przynajmniej raz na rok latam do Polski; mam nadzieje ze za kazdym razem to wlasnie z panem bede latal. Jeszcze raz, chyle czola.
