Hi, thanks for the great video, Question: what if the amp does not have a stand by switch like AC4 TV? Can you run direct from the power on/off switch, or will this cause damage ?
What is the advantage of a VVR over a Hot Plate or Power Soak? For collectible amps a VVR being installed would obviously drop the value of the amp. Has anyone tried the VVR in comparison to any kind of attenuator?
Hello i was wondering sence you know so much about guitar amps and tubes what book would you suggest to me? im thinkng about building my own ive made a few amps out of transistors but hell they ant so good an good books tube guitar amps would be a great help , Thx for your time i bet you get messages al the time .. btw love the vids :P keep them coming you do a great job if i had the money id buy one of your amps any day
Im 15 years old and i really enjoy doing electronics projects for guitar (i.e. byoc stuff), but im also interested in the electronic theory behind how guitar related electronics actually work, and how to understand electronics principles well enough to design your own gear. Any advice? I haven't found a lot of good info on this anywhere.
Man, you are one great guy! ^^

Great vid (and funny - thumbs up), anyone tried it on a Marshall Vintage Modern 100W?

@C0ldFart not sure. I don't recall Hall Amplification having a VVR kit for higher than 50watt amps

Soo, if I study the circuit and upgrade the components it would be possible I think.
