this is one of the best examples I've heard of how Geddy gets his tone - you can clearly hear that it's 'how he plays' not his gear. He really digs into his strings and plays hard to get his signature sound - almost like how hard Neil plays the drums. On the mellow parts where he's not playing as hard his tone sounds like any other bassist - it's when he digs in - that's when the fun begins ;D
