Absolutely smashing version. Hard to believe that they recorded thier first album "Please, Please Me" in one day. This song was done in the 13th hour of recording at 10 at night and he did it in two takes. Lennon said that when they were recording the song he had a cold and every time he had to swallow it felt like sand paper.

@walrus909 Maybe not :-) Look at how the Frostie studio crowd mingles with them on his Sept '68 show. Like some entranced hippie troupe, getting closer and closer to the ... Gurus. Oh and Frostie is very annoying there, calling them a tea-room orchestra. Though no doubt the lads are also taking the mickey out of him, singing "here's a piece of David Frost"
