what size is a jazz read plz i need to know

There is no particular rule for a jazz size reed. There are mouthpieces made for jazz, but as far as reeds go, it is a personal decision that a player makes. You want to select a reed size which allows you to play with ease and produces a good tone with the mouthpiece you are using. On my tenor, I play a plastic Bari Tenor sax reed, Medium size.

mouthpieces dont give different "effects" it just gives it a (singular) tone its not magical. u can re-create this sound on ones own mouth piece with practice

soprano saxes are shaped like clarinets.

the neck on alto's is really short and just curved.

on tenor it has a lil wave on the neck

and baritone saxophones have that big curl and a real small neck, n the mouthpeice is huge, n so is its size....

i've played all of em, n tenor is def. the best.
