@mtbski2 nah bro im sure they could barely even hear the song cuz the crowd was so loud. they double mic'd the concert for the dvd, one is a recording mic and the other is an amplifying mic. recording mics dont pick up sound from the same distance as an amp mic

you are an idiot. you shouldnt even consider yourself a fan if you cant get the names/nicknames correct or the stories straight. i hate dumb people who know just the general and consider themselves fans. joke. please do everyone a favor and never speak again.
Wow, pretty unique interesting group....I'll have to check them out..too bad their not together anymore, but I have heard State Radio before...hmm nice. Thanks.
I wish this song could have been more rocked out. It lends itself so well to a heavy, dark, ominous type of rock. I don't want State Radio to bog themselves down with Dispatch songs, but I feel like Chad wrote Even and Time Served with the same mindset he had in writing SR's material [especially considering he'd written tons of SR songs before Dispatch ever broke up], and State Radio could bring a really cool, heavy, hard rock take on this song.
I think on their new album, they are bringing more heavier songs into the mix. "Arsenic and Clover" and "Manisn Humanity" are excellent songs. Pretty heavy as well...
@nodachislayer ha, yea man, its ridiculous. when i try to sing this, i get like halfway through chad's part. jeff mangum has the largest lung capacity known to man, brad is definitely second
Absolutly oustanding. I like everything about that song, the tone, the lyrics, the melody. One of the great masterpiece create by Dispatch by mi humble opinion. How I wish to be able to create a song of that power someday.
i think its funny when people call pete the bassist or brad the drummer.... for example, i dont think pete plays bass in bridges and i dont think brad plays drums when he does prince of spades..one of the reasons dispatch was sick was they all played multiple instruments and could all sing
but the biggest reason why they broke up comes down to who was getting more attention, who was doing more interviews, how was singing and writing more songs.
For the majority of them, it was Brad. Watch Last Dispatch, they address the entire thing
ok- dispatch is one of the most artistic and most diversified groups that have ever played. there range from acoustic guitar, bongos and harmonies to a harder electric sound is flawless. sooo good.
they broke up a few years ago..if you want to hear more check out their Dispatch: Zimbabwe DVD they reunited this past July for a 3 night concert which was amazing
They all split up to do different things bradigan (drummer) and joe francis (bassist) split to do solo work and Chad started another band called State Radio which is amazing you should check them out because they are still around today. Also the Zimbabwe DVD is amazing, if you have comcast hd cable package its on MHD sometimes in HD its amazing!
nick the masterdrummer my friend u are fn correct this song is so amazing and is liek so intense just witht hte lyrics the playing isnt what makes it heavy the lyrics and there overlaying vocals do but the guitar doesnt hurt damn i wish they didnt break up i nvr go to see them
crowd is way too dead. if i was there i would be flipping the biggest shit ever to be flipped.

actually, lol, Chetro is Chad, Chad Urmston, and him and Brad Corrigan, Braddigan are the ones that are indifferent
DWaddle74 2 years ago
also, each one of them started writing different stuff, and they each thought that their tunes deserved more attention than the others
DWaddle74 2 years ago
yeah it became whoever gets more attention. not a band to benefit africas poor slums

that explanation came right out of Chad Urmstons mouth during an interview for the Boston Herald, so, please dont try to tell me im wrong

dude, be glad someone else enjoys their music. it only took them one song to be a fan just note it as the power that their music has.

also the main reason they broke up. too much personality and talent between the three of them.
ThisIsWar257 3 years ago 2
that's the reason to a point
but the biggest reason why they broke up comes down to who was getting more attention, who was doing more interviews, how was singing and writing more songs.

MansinHumanity 3 years ago
i agree with you both to a point too
i think personally, if you really watch it
pete made fun of chad for his passion of being liberal and all of that
braddigan was more conservative and didnt allow chad to give his free expression
and pete never really gave much credit to braddigan as a song-writer, as well as braddigan trying to change pete's lyrics
braddigan was just too controlling
pete was just kinda doing his own thing
and chad wanted to be allowed to do his own thing
thats my take
