  • i thought it was funny that this same old white couple in front of me that clapped each time the villains got killed clapped at the sight of the europeans landing, as if it was going to be a good thing for the hero and his people

  • well if these are mayans then this would be incorrect because the spanish made first contact with the aztecs i believe, they didnt go into the yucatan till later. correct me if im wrong

  • @metallicballa666 It's a fictional yet plausible narrative so it doesn't really matter as that was never the point.

  • the crusaders meet his new enemy, if would be the 2nd part of this, its might be the crusader would looking for some gold, thats exactly their deepest dream

  • i hate europe for descovering us its their fault global warming fordescovering us and destroying all our trees and killing all our indians >.< i fucking hate evolution

  • @hbdrs NATIVE AMERICANS not INDIANS! : (

  • @thetwilightfan10 rigth sorry native americans >:(

  • @hbdrs correction, spain fault and not europe.

  • Wow ! Nice scene. This is exactly what would happen if we could see all at once WHO is really in control of this world. We would stop fighting amongst us and turn our attention to the real problem at hand. I'm going to re-watch this movie, but this time keeping in mind what I know about the Jesuits and how priests can be warriors and do evil stuff. All priest no matter which society; aboriginal or europeen. What else is hidden in this movie? I shall deep dive.

  • In case you were wondering about this quote's source:

"An Outside Context Problem is the sort of thing most civilizations encounter just once, and which they tend to encounter rather in the same way a sentence encounters a full stop."

It's from Iain Banks, in his book Excession.

  • Just to be pedantic, he calls himself Iain M. Banks when he's writing science fiction, and Iain Banks when writing other works :)

Excession is my favourite of all his books.

  • @Ikaftl I am just getting into it and it is great so far- but I am still a softie for Consider Phlebas, which was the first Culture book I read....

  • great movie

  • Great film.

  • Favorite scene from this movie. Exactly what would people would do if they saw something they've never seen before - stand and stare.

  • Oh definitely. I kinda imagine if extraterrestrials ever did actually "land on the whitehouse lawn" we would be exactly like that.

  • Hey, I've already seen this movie and loved it, but you might want to mention in the title or description that this clip can be a bit of a spoiler for people who haven't seen it yet.
