  • I've been reading up on owning one of these guys (in the distant future). have you had any trouble with them being too aggressive?

  • I don't think the music goes with this video. Awesome Lynx tho.

  • what is the song you used in this video?

  • Can you keep cats like lynx or bobcat in England?

  • Matis got SO BIG!!!

  • i like cats very much , too bad all my tried to have cat failed after they done lot of bad things

  • your wife is beautiful

  • wow really awesome i love them

  • I think I am in love!!

  • my dream !

  • My dream too, I like to have my own farm and cats (lynx) like these.

  • mine too:)

  • what is that other feline, sheba?

  • yes

  • Comment removed

  • These look like they are bred with a domestic cat possibly. Like the Savannah cats which cost about $3,000! I photographed a lynx in Yosemite in March and it sure didn't look like these.

    These are very beautiful though!

  • There are many different types of lynx's.

  • Siberian lynx

  • I just wanted to say I love the video and would like a lynx of my own. How would you go about doing so? Any tips you have for me?

  • Do they purr?

  • nice family you have there !

  • now can lynxes be de-clawed if you have them as pets or do you have to leave them as is cause a thought crossed my mind and it was if they get pissed can they rip your throat out if they have claws?

  • dude dont get any cat declawed it might sound like a good idea but trust me youl feel bad about doing it

  • @JebusHater if you've ever asked a vet they will tell you declawing cat is the equivalent of chopping your finger off at the second joint of your human finger... 'enough said.

  • thats nice how they have eachother!!

  • The world is crazy in many aspects. But I am telling you, caracals are only a bit less domestic than real domestic cat. Just let them go to the wild and they will be back any time when they need your support.

  • All 3 are beautiful. Lucky man.

  • I just don't get the fasination with taming, controling, and caging wild animals. Can't you enjoy them without destroying who and what they are???

  • its not like there lions or tigers there small big cats so there about as dangerous as a pitbull.

  • That's about all I know about them, I specialize in native NA animals. The person that you want to contact to get, unbiased, info about exotics is Patty Finch. She's the Executive Director of the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. I'll PM you her contact info. She can put you in contact with a santuaries that deal with your animal of choice, perhaps even leading to you adopting an animal from a sanctuary as opposed to getting one from a breeder.

  • Yes, but you learn from the experts that they bring in, so it's, mostly, worthwhile. I wouldn't keep the fox in an apartment, they need room to wander and explore. I've never, personally, heard of a bad experience with them but I have heard that it's hard to find vets that will treat them, like most "exotics". I've never worked with Fennec, but I've worked with N. American fox and they are endearing, but there's a reason we say "sly like a fox" so I wouldn't leave a NA fox around kids.

  • Whats the bigger 1? Full grown Lynx or so,mething?

  • they are both lynx, one is just older

  • No that there ladies and gentalman is a kitty.

  • Looks like you take good care of them. Beautiful creatures.

  • wow beautiful ! you're lucky, but what these cats ? bobcats ?

  • i dont understand why people are freaking out. you are clearly helping these animals. it's good that we have people like you on this earth.

  • Wow... lynx(es?) represent the sheer beauty of feline animals. Just amazing.

  • Lynx is plural and the preferred usage, but lynxes is also acceptable, for some reason. I wonder if it's simply because it's been a part of the lexicon for so long?

I wonder if bears and mooses will be next?

  • What saddens me is that as a race, we cannot learn to just admire these animals as they are; we need to buy them and hold them as toys. I have no problem with responsible owners like the makers of this clip I'm sure are, but rather, of owners who end up realizing they bit off a bit more than they could chew and discard their pets like yesterday's garbage: stop thinking of acquiring pest as 'buying' one, because reallywhat you should be saying to prepare yourself, is that you are ADOPTING a life!

  • please view my comment on "first encounter' at the related videos.

I agree with the unfortunate reality that people purchase animals as 'toys' rather than companions.

when adopting any animal: Domestic dog, cat or lynx the purchaser should have to pass a test on the care, behavior and basic behavior of the specific animal before they are allowed to even have the privilege to purchase.

  • thank you arleteli for posting your beautiful videos on youtube and sharing them with the world. I apologies for those people who have not know the beautiful connection that exists between man and animal.

One questions for you: what country are you living? Beautiful.

  • I'm a biologist who specializes in wildlife and I not only had to pass rigorous testing to work in my field but I also have to update my credentials every two years and often have to take specialized training before I'm allowed to participate in studies involving a particular species. Yet, anyone out there can buy an animal, if they have the cash, without any prior screening or consideration.

Crazy world, full of double standards, we live in, isn't it, friend?

  • Aye, thought lynx sounded correct. :P

  • I'm not sure how or why lynxes is acceptable but apparently it is. Sounds wrong though.

  • i heard domestic lynxs are cross bred with a more tamable kind.

  • Yes, like wolf hybrids some people also breed lynx hybrids to develop a "domestic" animal. The hybrid will be sterile though, and many people who want to keep exotics also want to be able to breed them making a hybrid version of the animal undesirable.

  • is that a lynx/serval hybrid?

  • how much r they i am thinking about it when i get older

  • these aren't the kind of cats you can just go buy, these are wild animals. you need to be sure you are able to take care of them properly and be able to get them any special care they might need. you cant just get one as a house pet thats very irresponsible

  • Sheba is so patient with Matis.

Hey can you give me any info like websites or books or anything? Keeping in mind that I deal with 1,000 pound animals.

  • pleezz tell me where i can one to buy?

  • adopt a cat not a wild animal.

  • Soooooo beautiful aw aw... Are they good pets? Dangerous?

  • hi again, i noticed sheba has quite a thin but very vivid coat does this change seasonaly, thnx :)

  • Save the Iberian Lynx (Lynx pardinus)!!!

  • your so lucky , there beatifull!

  • 1:44 and 2:12 are soo cute!!

lookit how big his paws aare.. he looks kinda dopey when he walks!=]

i want one theyre sooo cuiteee

  • It's deep shit lol

  • Such beautiful animals. It's always so nice to see people taking care of abandoned animals.

  • what a beautiful family:)

  • The person that has the will to truly love an animal is the person that can love anything and hate nothing.

  • Cool vid, but it should come with a HUGE disclaimer! This is legal in some states, but 9 times out of 10 it'll result in an abandoned animal with no survival skills. They're a handful, and way too much for most people.

  • Benissimo!

  • is it legal??? i'm interested!

  • in another video it says the zoo didnt want to take care of her neither did the cubs mother so they took her or him in until he was 5.5 now he lives in a sanctuary

  • or i think that was another animal xP

  • That was the lion. >_>

  • They are so beautiful! How big do they get?

  • Are this full blood Lynx? or are they cross with something to take the wild edge off, they dont look hairy enough to be full bloodied?

  • i want one... wah!

  • kakav macan..

  • Gorgeous

  • Watched all you videos, you have excellent taste in music.

  • Absolutely Gorgeous! I love them!

    You are so lucky! ~Chris

  • May I live with you? :D

  • they look awsome but I'm happy with my tabby cat.

  • lol thats scary........ a playful kitty that gets big and would bite ummmmmmmm i'm good with my dog lol

  • They are Lynx. Siberian Lynx, also known as Eurasian Lynx, if I'm correct. ;)

Size varies between males and females and just from cat to cat. It takes quite a while for them to fully mature, too. Sometimes around three years before they reach their full size.

  • i thought they were bobcats. do they bite? are they legal to keep as pets in USA

  • I'm guessing you can't own one.. but if you can it might not be the best ideal, they get bigger and bigger. And yeah they do bite as the little Lynx was doing to the bigger one.. think of it as a playful kitty thats gonna get big :)

  • they dont get that big idiot! The average labrador get twice its size and thats not big at all your talking about a Puma

  • You can own them in some states, in others its illegal or you need permits. Its a huge responsibility though and costs a lot of money to give them the type of home they need.

Actually, AcidHoeMike, they get to about 30-55 pounds, depending on sex and what kind they are.

They can be trained not to bite, and most kept as pets are as tame as domestic cats, if the owner takes care of them right.

Bobcats are technically Lynx, because their Latin name is Lynx rufus superiorensis.

  • I think they're bobcats. Usually when you say lynx, it refers to the Canadian lynx. Although both of them belong to the genus Lynx.

  • is it really a lynx? I thought lynx is bigger than that. which kind of lynx is it? or is it a bobcat?

  • Ahh theyre so beautiful, wish i had one

  • Its a serval and Lynx mix and Those cats of hers are just beautiful,, and Friendly too,,

  • Serval/Lynx mix, are you really sure ?

  • Wild animals can be loving if the right people care for them!!! You have to love and respect them.. Thnx for posting this video up.. I know your lynx's are glad and blessed to have you as there caretakers,Unlike some people who get wild animals and just use them for breeding, and sell them to fur traders,etc...

  • It's so true. As with all animals it's all in the bringing up.

  • you have very beautiful lynxes!

  • es una gran alegria ver que personas aman a

los animales pero tambien las respetan!

  • this a beautiful vid, i have no words!

  • sheba is so affectionate, its sweet watching her with matis and your wife.

  • Always nice to see a new video of yours Arteteli. Matis is indeed getting bigger, but hasn't lost one bit of it's cuteness :)

  • C'est etonnant de voir ca ? Comment cela fait que vous avez ses animaux, vous faite partit d'un cirque,d'un reserve ou autre? Aurélie

  • Matis kocaman olmus valla :) Fugue'u kim caliyor?
