Perhaps people should consider electing someone with a formal education, a global perspective, and an understanding of diplomacy and government. I know I'm not qualified to be VP, so I would not be interested in having someone that could be interpreted as "like me" on the ticket. I want someone smarter, better educated, and more wordly than me. George W. Bush sold himself as "one of the boys," and look at how well that went.
