Yes Other Softwares can do this kind of simulation. Just ask yourself how far these softs can go trough and you WILL conclude that Houdini is the best one to achieve the complexest (?) dynamics simulation. And i give you that, this is not the case here.

Very nice, although, I feel the pieces could have bounced a bit more. They seemed to stick a bit too much.

well.. since it was probably intended to look like a collapsing building.. there is enough bounce because the falling objects are rather heavy.
