  • Yes Other Softwares can do this kind of simulation. Just ask yourself how far these softs can go trough and you WILL conclude that Houdini is the best one to achieve the complexest (?) dynamics simulation. And i give you that, this is not the case here.

  • p.s. 3DS MAX, blender, lightwave, maya. cinema4d can do the same.....

  • ay bro watz the pogram u used to do al of diz so i can edit my video sikk??

  • nice done man, looks like the man destruction in Tron Legacy :) awesome work

  • blender can do the same :)

  • is this program free?

  • @gatotrastes no, but its only 7000$

  • They have a free version. The only drawback is that you're not allowed to use the free version for anything commercial or professional. Well, they used to have a free version. Just look up Houdini and I think you should find something interesting...

  • Love Houdini!

  • @VTekRandD me too

  • wow amazing :D - rendertime?

  • crysis...

  • @iMrBigRed ecept crysis does that in real time, with barrels instead of cubes, and renders a lush jungle at the same time :P

  • @octavianmihailescu of course it does...never said it didnt..

  • nice shadows too

  • How much time did it take you to render?

  • Very nice, although, I feel the pieces could have bounced a bit more. They seemed to stick a bit too much.

  • @JourneyMaster

well.. since it was probably intended to look like a collapsing building.. there is enough bounce because the falling objects are rather heavy.

  • Hehe nice example of the new ODE solver
