Man! I love watching these women singing along with Paul on the Melodies. They are absolutely in love, happy, and feeling it! You can't fake that sheeit.
It would be so cool if ringo played the drums during this song or concert, not saying this drummer is bad but i just love the beatles.....johns my fav, FUCK YOU CHAPMAN
Ever since I first saw this DVD i've always thought that this particular performance of this song was the best one i' ever seen/heard. It's just so much rawer, louder, and rocks harder than any other version of this song.
I am so in this video!!!! I was like 10 or so in the front row with my mom. I am so proud to have my face in the same place as Paul's...especially since it's a moment caught in history FOREVA!!
Paul has said that he didn't write or record this song with John in mind. But after listening to it, he agrees that it is definitively a Lennon-style song, as most fans contend. It is easy to imagine John performing it.
Of course, this is Paul's song, so The Beatles never did this one. But, ...
DAMN! What a band!
The World's Greatest Songwriter leading the way ... totally-rock-solid, first-class players ... and the best damned drummer I've every seen!
That drummer? Abe Laboriel, Jr., folks. Remember that name.
The truly great drummers had their own styles: Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Keith Moon, Danny Seraphine, Ringo Starr (Yes, folks! He's a FANTASTIC drummer!) ... can't touch Abe! IMHO.
Check Abe Laboriel Jr. he's an absolute animal on the drums. And.... sings really really well. The size of those drumsticks... he attacks that poor drumkit. Seen it performed live and I cried all the way through. LOVE it.

I saw McCartney in D.C. around the 4th of July 1990 at old RFK Stadium. After the first chord, the whole place was up on it's feet and none of us sat down for two hours. It was fantastic!
George must've been watching from above and saying, "Dang, he's playing lead guitar! That's my bit! Stick w/ your bass, man!" But Paul can really make that guitar squeal. Awesome!!!!
hell yeah! the best concert ive ever been was a paul mccartney concert! the place just exploded when this song was on and that drummer is a real total baller!
Intense. The drums must have been bad because that drummer sure opened up a can of whoop ass on them. Amazing stuff all the way around. That crowd was so much in a state of joy and captivation. Wish I was there.
