@wwpd12345 I'd say you are right. I do not remember the game that well, but I believe the Fafnir pilot should keep distance from a Daishi, since it can wield more long-range weapons. If you take off the heavy gausses and put regular gausses and PPC's then I think Fafnir would be more deadly at range than a Daishi.

Even bought a Saitek X52 for the free release of Mechwarrior 4, because Mechwarrior 2 was my favourite game when I was little.

I really love the new advanced radar server setting. It means you your radar won't be able to look through objects like buildings and landscapes. That way is much more fun to play!

And you don't need to worry, there are also servers/rooms for beginners.

Try Mektek, they have all these online servers called Mekmatch, but you need the mektek packs to play them which inclued mechs like Blood Asp, Black Hawk, BattleMaster, and Behemoth

yes you can goto mektek (dot) net and download an updated version of the game to play online. Theres also a small patch that lets you access their servers for older versions of mechwarrior 4. Their multiplayer service is called mekmatch. Lots of interesting updates are happening for it.

I have Mechwarrior 4 Black Knight, Vengeance, and Mercenaries.  They pwn mechassault! For one wave mode with friendlies, for 2 create and paint you're own mechs and use them almost all the time, and for 3 mechs aren't copied and named differently.
