  • The drummer looks like a muppet!

I understand rocking hard, but ....muppett please!

  • Where are the high notes?

  • After the drummer finally got started, it looked like Tom Sholz was thinking WTF?

  • Great cover! drummer needs to practice more.

  • @unlikeanyotherhuman Actually you are wrong and right. He is not trying to play the verse the way the original song is played. This is the new version by Stryper. It's supposed to have more energy and for this reason he is playing the snare on 1, 2, 3, & 4 instead of just 2 & 4.

  • robert sweet sooooo roooxx xit...and mike well hey...theres only a few people on earth that can do boston!!! roooock on brother.

  • As a huge Stryper fan and a life longer drummer Robert really brought the song down! Wrong feel.......

  • This was awesome!!! I actually got to meet Michael Sweet before a Boston and Styx show two years ago in Big-flats NY....BADASS!!!

one complaint....DRUMMER SUCKS!! THIS IS NOT CHRISTIAN THRASH METAL!!! This is REAL ROCK N" ROLL!!!!

  • Oh O! The drummer should have learned the song correctly. May a death player needs to stay away from band like Boston! lol JMO!

  • oops @ 4:00 ....I think we all better look at the drummer and find out where the heck in the song we all are !!! hahaha oh well still nice to see them try it for the show.

  • Yeah !

  • DO YOU HAVE REACH OUT FROM THAT NIGHT?

  • I was at that Texxas Jam and Boston in no way put the crowd to sleep...they rocked! Get your facts straight and don't try to put your opinion on the rest of us that loved the concert! RIP Brad

  • Stryper is darn good, saw them last night at House of Blues; they've still got it. Saw Boston back in '87 at Texxas Jam and they put the place to sleep by playing the entire Third Stage album in album order. They were great on the hits, but ugh.

  • Yes, they are a Christian metal band.

  • Jeez Louise he is so off key with his singing.

  • I agree that Sweet can hit the notes but he has to much vibrato in his voice. I am a purist as well and don't even like REO Speedwagon without Gary Richrath either.

  • Truely, these are two of the best bands. I miss Boston, Brad Delp RIP. Michael is a good replacement. Hmmmm!

  • As a true Boston fan and a classic rock purist I miss Brad but cannot overlook Michael Sweet's vocal presence. He sings Boston music well enough to appease Tom. I'm glad to see such great rock songs in Mike's capable hands (and vocal cords). ROCK ON, BOSTON! (We miss you, Brad.)

  • @DJFrederickHart Michael is good, but falls quite short of Brad though.... RIP

  • Indeed...Michael is the best that music can offer presently. I'm ready to cut off my ears if they ever let the American Idol guy sing in Boston. Brad remains one of my favorite lead singers of ANY rock band.

  • I'm a purist here. The only way to play this song is with Brad Delp, Tom Scholtz and Barry Goudreau. Those guys are essential to this song.

  • vocals are WAY off.

  • Robert, just pounding out the drums in the background. And Oz totally headbanging off to the side. That is awesome.

  • nice

  • Sounds pretty good to me! I still prefer Fran Cosmo as Brad's replacement.

  • O.k., so America has not fallen into a deep sleep, musically speaking. The majority of you are just jealous a Christian has surpassed you!!

    Cry someplace else, not here!!

  • Thanks for announcing you are a Christian while leaving a comment that treats others like assholes. That accomplishes a lot. Good job.

  • Thank you. Although, if you read my comment carefully, I am referring to those who have judged Michael Sweet as a Christian, not as a musician. You are looking for things that just are not present. The Bible reads, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". I hope this sheds some light on the situation. Go in peace, brother!

  • are you being sarcastic?

  • stryper rocksssss!!!!!

  • good has joined evil

  • Man,are you kidding? Michael Sweet singing Boston,They couldnt have picked a finer singer! This dude rocks!and he loves Jesus too!-Rock on Stryper

  • While no Delp, Sweet is good at this. Who would of thunk it: Boston meets Stryper!

  • Joeymcnew, Boston obviously think Stryper should be playing with them! It's not what Boston thinks that matters though right, it what you think!

  • I cannot believe I can't find any footage of this event that wasn't recorded with something other than a goddamn cell phone!

  • There is a big cam floating around on a boom so there must be some pro video somewhere.

  • google for "marcelocodoba boston" and you can download it

  • Joeymcnew...and I suppose you could do better??..NOT!!! Stryper does a GREAT cover of this tune, and Michael Sweet rocks on vocals, as this past summer's tour proved!

  • My church did this today song dressed like the early version of Stryper and it was a riot!!!

  • Kimberley Dahme is the bassist, and, as bluer32 stated, she sings BACK UP.. Michelle062970 needs to read a little more carefully.. ;)

Anyway, Michael Sweet has an amazing voice- even after all these years- and hearing him sing with Boston now is awesome!

  • how sweet it is to see Michael and Boston together! I just loved it

  • This song .. this version.. now available at itunes.. Strypers cover of it!

  • The drummer ruins it, holy sh*t that drummer is like a 5 year old getting his first kit! Try a little "musicianship" next time and enough with your Van Halen version of "Pretty Woman" drum beat!

  • I totally agree - I love Robert's playing, but not on this song.

  • IT's Ton Sholz/Boston(minus dead Brad Delp - he's dead) & Stryper dudes just doing a jam from the Brad Delp tribute (that went well) Trust me~ No one is recording this for an album...

  • Robert ruined this song! Turn the metal off dude - for one song as least.

  • God, I hope that's NOT the way they're going to perform this classic song when I see the band next month in concert. That's with over-playing the drums during the verses??

  • Absolute worst Boston ripoff I have ever heard.

  • dame has to go. If Van Halen could find an awesome replacement for michael anthony then so can boston. She cannot sing and her bass playing sucks.

  • whose dame? Are you possibly commenting on a different video? sorry... but the singer is a male.

  • Actually, Dame is the base player for Boston and she sings, or tries to sing, backup.

  • sorry but Dame sucks ass.

  • whose dame?

  • Drummer is kinda overplaying a bit............!

  • Yeah.. but thats the style of the drummer.

  • what for the dvd yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa of the concert

  • (dame) wait for the dvd yaaaaaaaaa of the concert

  • thats like right near were i was...this is a wicked good song...awesome vid.

  • Thanks!! I like this view of the performance!

  • wow, this is the raw footage, thanks man!

  • thanks!
