  • have you broken your diffs or gears in the transmission ???

  • @krissford100 I shattered the original diffs but have since replaced them with the bulletproof diffs and have had no problem. I started seeing some wear on the drive gear and replaced it with the "HPI Racing Heavy Duty Drive Gear 18-23 Tooth" and haven't had any problems with this part either. The only other damage I have sustained is a couple of bent drive shafts from jumping

  • @UTFreak23 My rear diff went for some reason. I got replacement internals under warranty, i think the pin that went through the drive cup was weak. But yeah, that HD drive gear sould be standard! I munched that in a month! Then next was the 2 cogs at the bottom of the gearbox, the very bottom one i hardened myself. I didnt want to change the ratio buying the uprated one. Oh, then the motor died! Luckilly got that sorted under warranty! Its now 5 months old and im wondering whats gonna happen nxt

  • @ben150785 I have had pretty good luck for the most part. The only issue I have right now is some binding. I cant pinpoint from the outside. I will probally have to take the truck apart to figure it out. It runs fine but when the truck is on the ground and you push it with your hand it will roll about 8 inches and then bind up you can pull it backwards and some times it frees up but somewhere it is binding. I guess the motor has enough power to push through the bind... :(

  • @UTFreak23 Id remove the top section of the gearbox and have a looksie! Only a 10 minute job might be a bearing on its way out? I cant wait for next weekend! Ive just got my new motor and pinion back in tonight! I was running a 25t but it pulled the shaft out the motor and ballooned a set of my lipos, so ive gone back to a 22t, i still dont know whether to run the lipos or not as they went back to normal and was still 3.7v per cell. Hope you get your sorted soon mate.

  • nice video, mine does the same thing on 4s

  • You would want to hold the throttle lightly b4 doing a backflip you'll be a little easier on the diffs

  • did you program your ESC in some special way or is it stock?

    btw, nice video and i'm surprised how much of power you get out of 4S. Almost more than my 2x 3S 35c 5300 LIPO

  • @HAIForest18 I have updated my ESC to the latest firmware and everything is default except braking/reverse are both @ 30% and LiPo cut-off is at 3.4v. I bought the truck off ebay and it came with the SMC batteries. I have been very impressed with there power for being 2s.

  • i did i got it today broke it today with my 3s graupner 5400 great beteries i did double standing backflip and landed anddidnt use a ramp like here i broke my heavy duty diffs

  • I broke the heavy duty diff pinion after about a week. I replaced them with the bullet proof diffs and haven't had a problem. I also replaced the drive gear with the HD drive gear because it was showing some decent wear.
