The thing that pisses me off is I am not even a GOD DAMN democrat. I am a fiscal conservative who is also a social moderate. Granted it was a simplistic estimate....there are only 500 words to explain. Only half of federal revenue comes from income tax. That cuts it down to $3333 per tax paying income earner. The rest comes from capital gains and corporate taxes...and of course they are raping social security. Your assumption assumes it will be paid off in 10 years, they will hold it to 720 billion in spending, no further deficit spending and no interest. Those are not very good assumption.

My opinion is that our government has had us eating out of their two party palms for years so we can keep blaming each other's party instead of the whole damn group, and if we start acting like Americans instead of mules and elephants we could actually get something done. We HAVE to stop fighting about what they dictate we fight for and tell them collectivley that they get the job done or they are out. WE HOLD OUR ELECTED ACCOUNTABLE. Job evaluation is more important than ever.
