  • ONLY IN AFRICA ^^ all day

  • Its spelled Ghanaian

  • This world is in dire need of education. From S. America to Africa, all the way to S. Asia, these are regions of the most backwards minded people. Govt's need to ban such practices.

  • Did anyone one else notice how "money" was required? Interesting....

  • I am a ghanaian and i can testify that in my country spirituality is taking seriously, maybe even too much. The seriousness of the matter can be compared to how the law works in western countries, it has a heavy impact on everyday routines. Even though a good 75% of ghanaians are chritians, animism still takes over their minds, espacially in villages like this. People still rely on fetish priests and cults of the ancestors and so on . But this makes up our culture.

  • @metoooization GHANA IS MADE UP OF MUSLIMS, CHRISTIANS AND TRADITIONAL PEOPLE. AND THE VAST POPULATION ARE CHRISTIAN THAN MUSLIMS BUT CHRISTIANS ARE NOT MORE THAN 50% OF THE RELIGIOUS POPULATION.

  • I can't believe what I'm hearing in this video....they have exiled this woman based on sheer ignorance. She had nothing to do with the death of that one guy. And come on! to decide whether she was guilty or not with a chicken? this is worse than I thought

  • well i guess people dont want to have negative energy around them. I have some friends that i too believe have EVIL eye and I wont tell them shit. if you tell them something somehow it gets messed up they are what some call HATERS. in my opionion haters you can feel their negativity and that holds some back, causes bad things so i understand them bannishing that woman ideal

  • african witchcraft is very complicated, it is also completely different than the european version, which is church based, there has been extensive research done on the a-zande people for those interested

  • @cryptoprocta it is. most african witchcraft differs from european mindset on my instances with the most primary being african witchcraft states that one can be a witch without knowing it while european witchcraft states that one must have an active role in seeing people hurt. of course, people will just look at this with european perspective and either blame ignorance or Christianity (which doesn't show up anywhere in the video).

  • A persons entire fate depends on a 'chicken'.

  • Depravity of man.

  • some humans are evil

  • the only difference between us and them is the color of our skin. and genetic distance from the ape

  • @icef1sh nope. genetics are the same as well, dumbass.

  • what is this shit!

    ahhhhhh....stupid human beings

  • That was funny, for her to not be a Witch a man had to perform a ritual that looked very similar to Witchcraft. He is the Witch..

  • died witches

  • i have nothing against africans in general but these people are stupid cunts

  • If I were to call this woman, the fortune teller, the two priests and everyone else in these villages savages, would that make me a racist?

  • @sjerring What, you think Christian priests are civilized? The entire Bible is one big rape-orama, blood bath.

  • @koffeewitch

I'm an atheist, I despise the christian priests of old and I DO call them savages as well.

  • @sjerring Right on...let's not forget the Pope and child-raping priests while we're at it...and all the Bishops who helped to hide these monsters in the priesthood.

  • Africans are not the only people who believe in witches. All cultures believe in witches. Halloween is a big holiday in the USA. I dislike these whites who go to Africa and make documentaries like this. Thse documentaries are made to de-humanized black people

  • @noirrosa ty they r racist jerks

  • @Elbasilisk1 White people also practice witchcraft. contary to popular belief, witchcraft is a nature based religion, it's practice has nothing to do with evil or the devil. The christian missionaries came to Africa, and called our religious practices and beliefs pagan and of the devil. What is so sad is reading all the degrading comments made here by Africans towards other Africans

  • @noirrosa thanks, that is the miseducation that has drugged Afrikan ppl from all over the world. They have made us hate our traditions and culture while they go behind us and practice the same thing they told us it was pagan or insane. Whites go to Afrika and pay our spiritual leaders who use the traditions all the time. Its sad that we are under this psychosis and we are so mentacidal. Everyone practice their beliefs except black ppl. We always want someone else beliefs which is our state now.

  • @noirrosa "contary to popular belief, witchcraft is a nature based religion"

Witchcraft is not a religion. Its an umbrella term used to descibe actions that people claim are magic. Although there are magic based religions in africa in most cases what afican christian are accusing people of is demon possession. The irony in this case is that the holy man here is the one performing "witchcraft" with the chicken and the woman is just some idiot christian who belives everything she's told.

  • @kinganarkzie They cut a living chicken! I thought it was already dead til I saw it twitch! D:

  • @Axxidous how do you think chicken gets on your plate?

  • @elinheartstristin Not through magical spells? :)

I know the process of getting chickens to my plate and I know it means killing them. Tho it's done differently and it's done for FOOD. ...And I like that food. Mmmmm Chicken. =9

  • @kinganarkzie Christians believe anything i only believe in spirits rather then what Christians call "god"

  • @noirrosa I think that white people NEED to see more documentaries about Africa. Considering that most of the problems in Africa have been directly caused or exacerbated by colonialism, Christian missionaries or unfettered capitalism, I don't think it's the Africans who look dehumanized in such documentaries. Besides, Americans and Europeans slaughtered more innocent people (even children) for witchcraft than all the African nations put together.

  • @koffeewitch yep what the catholic church done in the dark ages killing witches who were probably mostly healers and stuff and killing people for reading scripture on their own the spanish inquistion. the joke is a lot of these churches are using the wrong type of magic and not worshiping the one infinite Creator.

  • @yoshisuniverse im from africa myself and considered university educated, intially i didnt believe it but i have seen things with mine own eyes that turned me upside down and inside out.

  • this is ridiculous, i cant beleive it is going on.

  • @blissi why not? Things that are equally as ridiculous to many people go on in every culture. Not saying I know there is no god, I'm just saying I doubt hes real. Ridiculous things are ridicuous everywhere else, except where the actuall thing is taking place. Its all just the mind set of people. if you grew up there you would probably believe it is ridiculous that people don't believe in witch-craft. Every belief is on equal ground because we human beings have no idea what is real and what isnt

  • Thank f*ck that chicken landed on it's ass, otherwise she'd have been banished for good...On a serious note my parents are from Ghana and it is so sad to see that this crap still exists...As if Africa doesn't have enough (Western shaped) problems already, our priests and so called holy men have to insight this foolishness and torture on their people...It needs to stop!!!

  • Though once they said that life started in Africa, honestly its existence is completely redundant to me now. All those people live a ridiculously low-leveled, pointless, miserable, suffering-filled existence. They're headed nowhere, their culture is pure crap, they're slaughtered like animals by republican armies and shit... honestly I'd nuke Africa off the face of the fucking Earth and consider myslef to be doing the greatest good ever.

  • @labacu90 Yeah, For gross generalisation due to intellectual laziness and ignorance of the cultural history of all peoples, and covering racism with supposed reason,

i'd like a little nuke pistol with one shot to blow the nether regions off the front of an idiot. Maybe another shot for your brain actually. That would be the greatest good.

  • E La shun-da...<<< powerful witch craft word

  • This is sad as the poor witches are in bad health mentally and physically as I percieve from this video.

  • It's Tindang, not Gnaani. Gnaani is the neighboring Village.

  • @nichtidentisches

The clip is too theatralic and too much effect. This shows a certain disrespect towards the problem - as if it would need some "emphasize" by scary sounds and blurs.

The people there number in 2009 around 1000 of which maybe 150 are men. Malnutrition is visible as extreme poverty and there is a serious need in housing after rainstorms hit the village.

  • Stop the persecution of people in Africa accused of witchcraft.

  • Wow you don't have to call them the n word like you can disagree with them all you want but keep the name calling for five years old

  • poor chicken......

  • Hypocrisy upon hypocrisy; a woman is being accused of witchcraft. Yet the people of this village also practise witchcraft by going to (and putting their trust in a) witchery fortune teller and also performing crazy animal rituals. This is one major reason why Africa is still primitively obsolete today. Wickedness. The accused may or may not be a real witch; but the whole community no doubt is. Jesus is the only way to freedom from these ills.

  • @7olusegun well wat did this your jesus done for you as an african you need to wise up since this jesus of yours left europa and come to africa they have been problem every where people no longer go to hospital reather than see the pastor,or resarch or even go to work they go to church for blessing from pastor

  • @7olusegun maybe there is a clear difference between a priest and a witch.....maybe.

  • @ndeycard A priest is more or less an "ambassador" to a higher spiritual power that teaches teaches knowledge and practices (etc) of his/her higher spirit master(s) to people (either to their benefit or to their harm) be it of God (via Jesus Christ) or of satan respectively. SELA.

  • @7olusegun oh I almost forgot..."primatively obsolete" from what exactly? And this documentary is Ghana...not Africa, nor is Ghana or this remote village proof of any major or minor reasoning for the entire continent, that would be my opinion of course, because I am not a specialist in the topic, are you?

  • @ndeycard What I said previously was in relation to this video of Ghana. It also occurs worldwide.

  • @7olusegun well I guess you know it all. Your arguments make me presume you are Nigerian...if so then I may need you help. My father was an American Ambassador from Canada. We recently have had some hard times, my father fell sick and passed away. He did leave us a note. He has 21 kazillion NGN in a bank in Nigerian, and I can not access it. I will agree to give you 50% of this money if you help me to access this inheritance. Our family needs this money for the funerals. God be with you.

  • @ndeycard A word of correction; the only person that knows all things is God. Therefore your guess is wrong. What I said so far is the little I know based on godly/biblical principles. Why then are you telling me all these cock and bull stories? Is a child taught of how to lie, steal or perform other antisocial disorders? Why not consult a witch to help you out since you are in support of them (or the associated customs and traditions? Go ahead & God also be with you.

  • @7olusegun I was making a sarcastic reference to Nigerian scam emails....I hate when I have to spells things out for you people. Why? Because it made me laugh, like you.

  • @ndeycard And I also say my last statement was a sarcastic reference to Ghanaian scam e-mails and I also hate to have to spell it out for you? Witchcraft, warlockry, palmistry, magic, tarot, soothsaying, astrology, wizardry, rebellion, fortune-telling etc, etc are all demonic scams and abominations before God. What scam(s) have I written so far (or that you relate what I wrote with Nigerian scam e-mails)? Tell me if there any good in witchcraft or other occultic activities. I wanna know.

  • @ndeycard LMFAO

  • ummmmmm that was strange and witchcraft is scary

  • 3:16 to 3:28 yeah umm i totally not a witch :p just high ahahahaha!

  • Wouldn't it be counterproductive to put many sorcerers in one place unsupervised?

  • those "priests" are acting like witches themselves lol????

  • only stupid africans believe in witchcraft.

  • @0neofthem You dont know anything at all.

  • So you go to a fortune teller and a fetish preist to see if somebody is a witch...WOW

  • If witches are so powerful how can they be banished wouldn't they just get together and conquer everything around. Im sure there is something to the story we are not being told i mean three minutes of a European dictating what African beliefs are. I will pass on believing its this simple.

  • HAHA chicken, liquor and money HOW TYPICAL HAHAHA

  • Ha ha they demanded chicken, liquor and money. How TYPICAL

  • Had to remove this video from my playlist due to the advertisements. Thanks YouTube for screwing it up.

  • My religion is wiccan and im a witch. But i dont do any crazy shit.

  • i am as well but we have 2 acknowledge the light & dark within us. I have cursed people & healed many other wiccans would say i should never curse someone it goes against the rede but i say to never curse someone would go against balance. Im not sayin people should curse people just for giggles but shit happens & its not the end of the world. If it is well justified & no horrible fate befalls anyone its all good and divinity will understand its not like they never opened a can of whoop ass on us

  • @Mrs151Addison, yeah well we going to get the torches & pitch forks just in case j/k

  • @Wolfsbane909 haha

    Hey,i dont blame you:)

  • well whats wrong with living in huts?Westerners are so dependent on material things for their happiness.

The old ways have a lot of wisdom that the modern world has forgotten and so people there live unhappy lives.

  • im from ghana wut ya truna say about ghanians.. in quaccia sem ... gemi fouu.. abuahhhhhhhhhhhh....

  • You may wish to ammend your statement for accuracy.

    Replace "africans" (sic) with "humans"

  • @feloniousbutterfly Fair point, humans, in particularly those in third world countries, really are a bunch of fucking idiots sometimes.

  • @feloniousbutterfly i agree all races have there bad points

  • there are witches in every culture. Including Europeans. Haven't u heard of wicca? High degree scotish rite masons are also warlocks and deal with witch craft

  • yeah, but in africa they are not really witches. africans are just ignorant and shameless, its in thier blood...

  • @Mrs4Happy20 says you? oh well then. You are the bigest cock in youtube

  • Mrs4Happy you got it wrong some african might be wrong, but this is not only africa,it happen in india and so many part of the world, you should choose your world wisely,

you comment is even sarcastic, open your heart you are fill with hatred,

  • if that is true then they are better people them you

  • @Mrs4Happy20 wtf? this video shows us an view of different religions & culture, that part when the fetish priest spills the drink on the ground for the ancestors is quite common, in other cultures.

pouring some drink for my dead homies

  • @jennaofthecuckooclan and what are you ?

  • I'm an english fucking idiot.

  • I dont know whats more shameful, the fact they are living in huts or their rituals.

  • pwned

  • Anka never was witch,,,witch and medicine man are strong beings,,,they are super humans..nobody can banish them...Super being is not addictive to alcochol. drugs,,,he or she is balanced and have pover on his own mind and senses...he make a great miricles

  • They should seek refuge in the West. Witches here would not condemned them.

  • @Jenfucius Remember the witches of Salem,Mass. what happen to them.

  • My father is from Ghana. I'm horrorfied at this backwardness and cruelty

  • i sometimes think blacks are inferior but then i always think about the people who watch fox news

  • the richard dawkins new bestseller book on evolution should be distributed for free around the world

  • @jigglyfidda125 yes, so that ppl know why AFRICA is called the mother-land, because ALL human genetic marker diversity can be traced back to AFRICA.

  • may u burn in hell with your jehova you filthy beggar

  • How sad that being a "witch" is such a horrible thing... I pray that these people come to their senses someday and realize that being a witch is nothing like what they have come to think it is....

  • why is that? christianity is a wiccan religion. And most dont realize that. The world is runned by witches, celebs, dancers, singers and the government. WITCHES dont go judging no one sweety whom you dont know.

  • Do you think I am judging anyone? I was simply commenting on the state of the situation and how it seems to be so different from how we are here... but then again.. I am a witch and I do pray... and I do realize that Christianity is a copy of Old Pagan practices.... however Wicca is a new religion that pulls from many different traditions... just like Christianity. Bright blessings to you Tasmia

  • Comment removed

  • It's chevy's new car that gets 230 miles to the gallon its the best gas mileage in the world so maybe it should get a little notice

  • WITCH! WITCH OMG EVIL WITCH!!!

  • I wonder how many cedis she had to pay.

  • this is so true..im from africa and we deal with this shit all the time..they just won't stop!!

  • The truth is witchcraft exists, but a true witch wouldn't be cast out of a village so easily. People don't understand the spiritual world no have they seen supernatural manifestations. A lot of accusations may be wrong, but witchcraft exists and if you go to certain places in Africa esp were I come from, you'll find out for yourself and see that there is a supernatural world and weird things happen

  • FDotAzz

Witchcraft in the spell sense is simply nonsense. And the supernatural is nothing more than a want to believe that there is more than this dimension, well now you must give me evidence this is so.Good luck at this since its never been proven.

  • it has been proven for me. i wont blame u because u weren't exposed to it

  • FDotAzz

How was it proven to you, care to explain.

  • I had so many spiritual experiences, I don't know where to start. Not like you would believe me anyway, and I'm not interested in being mocked

  • FDotAzz

What constitues a "spiritual experience"....i havent mocked.

  • i consider you not to take no more drugs so your experiences will disappear

  • actually there are 11 dimension backup by science its so called M-Theory well im not saying there's spirit and ghost there

  • Hello!!! If She Is An Out Case,

Why Did The Guy With The Chicken Used

    WITCHCRAFT Too accuse Her?

  • listen westerners atleast they arent burning them unlike your people did!!!!

  • who are u to say anything

  • lol pathetic

  • What is the meaning of all these? Necromancy pervasion, ignorance, hypocrisy, satanic worship and a myriad of problems in a vicious cycle. This is sheer blatant idiocy, primitiveness and profound stupidity inextricably linged to Africa's maldevelopments. NONSENSE MUTANTS.

  • its not right but heeey its been there for centuries .. africa has alots of culture and traditions , beliefs etc ..so there is no reason for some of you guys talkin hatred and callinn us names.. at least we know where we came from and where we belong unlike you so called americans murderers , rapist, thieves etc.. killing inocents pple in iraq and afghanistan ...

  • ur retarded if you actually believe that, how about the fact africa had cities and civilizations before you brushed your people could tell the time u dickhead. maybe if u didnt go around fucking the world where ever u went, africans went to america before columbus, only difference they didnt go around raping and killing and looting. ur weak dude dont overestimate your strenght

  • Shut up! Who where the ones that came up with Halloween?! And besides we ARE equal, and i bet that if we would switch colour you would feel the same way

  • as an african i am truly ashamed, these ppl are so stupid

  • how can you call your own people stupid?its so deeply embedded in their belief system that its real to them, also how do you know there arent witches at work there?as i know several witches here in the u.k.

  • He/she/it can do that because they are not actually African. This is typical conduct of bigots who play true to their own primitive behavior and feign being someone of another race to make their dispersions appear more genuine. Sort of like how the KKK hid behind sheets to do their dirty work.

  • very interesting. at least they only banished her. that is minor in comparison to the way the anglosaxons handled it by burning suspected witches at the stake. That was only a few hundred years or so ago.

They follow their cultural belief by determining through divination answers given from their own ancestors.

The place where all the witches go seems cooler anyways.

  • Usually people that use witchcraft feel powerless. everything helps. But sometimes its just fate and time that heal or turn peoples lives out the way they are.

  • Dumb people.

  • poor chicken!

  • do they eat that chicken when it's done?...if not, that is a complete waste of food and they deserve to be hungry...

  • This is THE prime cause of ALL that continents problems!Poverty, slavery, disease etc ALL because of THIS particular Sin.Witchcraft!!

  • The film was fair in it's representation of an African Cultural aspect.

In the West the idea of spritiuality has become laughable and often those that preclaim it are ridiculed. So it's hard for the West to understand . Although Chritians sought to supplant African beliefs with ones about a far distant land which really has no relevance to africans.

The main issue underpinning the belief in Witches are the centuries old experience of a high and random death rate in Africa.

  • This is all a money making scam for the priests. The priest that accused her, the priest that proved she was a witch, and the witch that "purified" her, These people are sacrificed in order to prove the priests "powers" and keep the money flowing for the "priesthood". The Catholics were smarter. They came up with the concept of tithes.

  • Very intresting.

  • so a chicken decides your fate, what a load of bullcrap!

  • So as your religion, colour, surname does... same crap...

  • That's interesting. I dont know much about Ghanian traditional religions, however, I think it is here where they believe in GOD, and a whole bunch of saint like higher spirits - The Abossum. This documentary report was written from a sarcastic christian - westernized mindset so that they are viewed as uneducated heathens... I truly doubt that the chicken's legs had anything to do with it. And you see, this is why many "pagan" religions choose to remain "occult" (hidden to the outside eyes)

  • At least they arent being burned alive like in Salem Massachusetts. Id take banishment over being burned alive any day.

  • 2:38 COOL SHADES :D

  • what an ethnocentric video.....

  • Why? They did´t say anything like witchcraft doesn´t exist or is a nonsence...

  • I lived in Ghana for two years. Most people don't realize that there is a stark contrast between villages like the one shown in this video and the cities. The people who live in the cities don't believe as much in witches and the supernatural.

Overall it seemed like city people just followed some rules out of tradition and habit. I would get scolded for whistling, because witches don't like the sound and they could curse me for annoying them. It's like our black cat/ladder/sidewalk crack.

  • wtf.

  • Okie doke Here's where understanding Words comes in Handy. In some parts African (esp,West Africa) The Term Witch has a totally different meaning to them it's like being possessed. Now the folk magic that the Fetish priest and the Fortune teller used is considered 'good' magic. The Magic of a 'witch' or possessed person is bad.

Like 'white' magic and 'black' magic.

Words have different meanings in different cultures

  • Christians continue to insult Witchcraft and claim that it is devil worship. The folk magic these africans practice is *not* Witchcraft.

  • poor chicken.... This isn't right! People shouldn't be accused liek this!

  • stop being such a pussy about some chicken

  • wow dude. all I said was poor chicken.xD

  • but then wouldnt they banish the fortune teller too? they can also harness the spirit world

  • we and our kin have been killed for generations because we do not worship christianity. it is mean. it after all was a huge misunderstanding because we do not believe in a force of evil or a devil of some sort.... HOW CULD WE WORSHIP A FORCE OF EVIL WHEN WE DONT BELIEVE IN ONE!?!?!?!?

  • thats meanie bobinie!!! i am a wiccan and practice witchcraft... i assure you it is not evil and we do not sacrifice. our main rule is HARM NONE. no killing anyone. (except maybe in defense when someone is trying to kill you)

  • How awful D:

  • Good I been there done that and I think this whole witch craft is bunch of B.S and waist of time.

  • Wowza!!! That culture definitely has evolving in it's future... Simply WRONG and SO primitive in judgments. They don't even know who a Witch is if they're placing such judgments onto others.

  • Ugh i just gotta say something

These people are such savages i swear!!

    pooorr chicken!!

    wtf!!!!

  • M. F KUMAMAYO KUMA LA MAMA AKO

  • 00:27-00:34... Witches exist in far more many places than just legend dear ;)

  • You can believe in whatever lies your "priest" is feeding you. I've preached the truth, so it's on your head now. God bless.

  • It's Catechism. I spelled Catechism correctly thank you very much.

  • Try reading your Catechism then get back to me.

  • you spelt catcholism wrong

  • or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons. Wearing charms is also reprehensible. Spiritism often implies divination or magical practices; the Church for her part warns the faithful against it. Recourse to so-called traditional cures does not justify either the invocation of evil powers or the exploitation of anothers credulity."

  • um what?

  • 0:56 it looks like a person is that tree/twig wow 0_0 they must of enslaved her into one,

  • He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, followed the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites (2 Chronicles 33:2). He sacrificed his sons in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced sorcery, divination and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, provoking him to anger (2 Chronicles 33:6).

  • bullshit ^_^ :) i'm a catcholic witch my preist even siad it was okay to pratcie witchraft as long it shall harm no one and that you don't stray away from god becuase we need god and sadly soemtimes it makes us stray from him like i did :(

  • Nice try LIAR! A real Catholic wouldn't use language like that and you would know the Catechism. "All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion. These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone.
