  • DoD made me love this rifle.

  • my favorite weapon in call of duty 2

  • fuck you

  • What are your groups looking like at those ranges my friend?

I just received a german built yugo import, all matching numbers.

Tooke it out to the 100 yard line with a rest and after warming her up

I was getting 2-3 inch groups every five rounds.

Great gun, let me know how you're liking it.

  • K98 is a fine rifle - BUT - I wouldn't trade 100 K98s for my one Swedish Gustaf Mauser in 6.5 x 55.

  • "Keeps them locked in a shed..." My God - how did you let those laws happen, British peoples. Guessing you thought "that could never happen here" - right?"

  • this is a great vid, but it didnt really so any hits on the target, i have no doupt that you were hitting, it but you should put up like wear you hit! cheers :)

    willymunga

  • I don't understand why people are calling others who use the k98 socialists.

This makes as much sense as calling people who use AK47 terrorists.

  • @SHITTYBOYBOY they might as well be

  • i guess 90 percent of us are socialists then, as our hunting rifles have this same action

  • handguns are pretty much illegal as are semi/full auto weapons

in the uk guns are restricted to bolt action rifles , and shotguns

shotguns use a shotgun certification and rifles use a fire arm certification

and guns must be locked in a safe . just to tell all you people who dont live in the uk

  • Terrible trigger there mate

  • no eye protection??

  • @antguida88

why would eye protection be neccesary?

  • @HauptmannRob i was just being a smart ass. ear protection is pretty important though.

  • @antguida88

i was just thinking :L yeah i agree hearing protection is THE most important bit of safety equipment.

  • You rifle is not cleaned. 98k has smooth action, no like this...

  • not a german but german weapons are build to last

  • Comment removed

  • What steps did you need to go through to get that in the UK?

  • @Pigdogmeat

research it on google, its piss easy to get rifles in the UK. As long as you have a reason + do not have a criminal record/history of mental illness or other other psychological defects then it is very easy. I thought it was hard but now its extremely easy because i'm a normal law abiding citizen, if anything cost is the bigger issue.

  • 300 yards dead on! I can hit targets over 1000 yds with my '43 model

  • nice video

  • You need to fix the bolt carrier, mate :)

  • @doggymien4o Bolt carrier? Bolt.

  • @TaZ101SAGA Bolt, balt carrier,the guy understood :)

  • I noticed same problem with my mauser: it is hard to get out the pullet after shooting, i think it is due to heat, or not ?

  • God our laws fucking suck.

  • @MrRedeyedJedi

Our laws are fine, first time shooting i got an escort across an infantry training facility, and got to shoot guns of clibre .308 WM, .300 WSM and .338 LM at 1000 yards. Best £25 i'd ever spent,

  • Well. Not wrong but there's a better way of doing it

  • Using the bolt wrong. O.o

  • where in the uk is this ? can also tourists shoot guns there ? xD and how much does it cost ??

  • last time i remember the m 14 , m16 , and ar 15s are american guns who ever says american guns are crappy got another thing comming.

  • @jorgea1126

Im sorry to tell you this but american guns jam up quite a bit, Id honestley prefer an AK over a M16 anyday. Not trolling just saying my opinions.

  • i see your point the guns i have shot have never jammed up on me but ak 47 are good guns because of their resistance to dirt and grit

  • @jorgea1126

I had an incident 2 years back with an M4 it refused to shoot whatsoever I never figured out rhe problem but at this point i didnt care. Ever since that incident i stopped focusing on American weapons and moved for other guns from all over the world such as the AK series and a few German military weapons but my favorite gun has got to be the Galil only because its a much more modified AK 47. Oh and thank you for not arguing.

  • @xXCrimsonArtsXx All semi-auto guns jam buddy. Yes the M16 and all it's variants do have a problem when it comes to dirt but you cannot generalize American guns based on one design. This is an old debate of the more accurate M16 vs the more reliable AK 47. Having said all this, I would probably go with the AK 47 as well because I prefer the reliability. Please watch your generalizations though because not all American guns jam.

  • @suckafly

Thank you for the clarification and id also like to thank you for not starting a war here, you are one of the few people on youtube to correct my mistakes instead of getting angry and i appreciate it. Also Id like to apologize on my generalization. Having said this could you direct me to some other American guns? Im looking for some refrences.

  • @xXCrimsonArtsXx Sure, it just depends on where your interests lye. Do you like handguns, bolt action rifles, semi auto rifles?

  • So what license do you need to own one of these?

  • @SpannerLytic Section 1 FAC with a variation for an 8mm rifle.

  • I'm not trying to insult your intelligence or anything, and I'm not sure if it's been brought up in the comments, but:

You DO know that you can feed in multiple rounds, right?

  • A very fine rifle, I might say?

  • Do you need to keep your rifles at the police station in the UK?

  • @TheFirearmEnthusiast yea you leave it with the constable who keeps them locked in his shed

  • @ramsy66 2:18 should've taped the guy next to you. Sucks about the laws in the UK, hope you guys can get it fixed up.

  • @ramsy66 thats gay they dopnt trusth no one there?

  • @ramsy66 Belive me when I tell you that gun owners in the U.S. would never let that happen, its too bad you dont have a group like the NRA and that your government does'nt trust its people

  • @McCarthy331

Well, we better stay vigilant and never be too comfortable because you never know who or what can turn the tide against private ownership. Long live the K98 !!!

  • @ramsy66 wth why? THATS TYRANNY

  • @ramsy66 not allowed to take your own guns home?

  • @ramsy66 I respect the UK!

  • @ramsy66 hahahaha

  • @ramsy66

I do you even live in the UK. Many rifles are cheaper, our laws don't suck, and you can keep all your guns at home.

  • @Cozmolyne Your laws could suck turds out of stone. You can't even own handguns in the UK anymore!

  • @ramsy66 that sucks i live in ohio usa and i have my k98 right in my room, and i only 17.

  • Keeps them locked in a "shed"? Really? Is that secure?

  • @TheFirearmEnthusiast No, not if you have a lisence and approved storage facilities.

  • @ihaterobbie123 Is there a website to see the requirements for the storage facilities?

  • @TheFirearmEnthusiast Ask your local PD. There are weight requirements and ammunition must be stored seperately.

  • @TheFirearmEnthusiast Oh God, that's rich!

  • i would have killed u by now with the garand haha.

  • that old man rght ur left must be a war veteran

  • Where'd you get your Mauser from? and would you reccomend Mitchell's Mausers? I've heard some bad reviews over them. I just want mine to shoot, not collect.

  • If you want looks and functionality, get a Mitchell; it's probably the easiest route for getting one that's not obscenely overpriced. If you're more interested in collectibility or just the historical aspect of the Mauser, you might look elsewhere. Mitchells are all almost exclusively Yugoslavian surplus M48s retooled and restamped to resemble actual K98s.

  • @TarquiniusSuperbus That's what i heard. Mitchell's from what i've seen is over priced. I can get a good Yugo Mauser at one of my local sporting goods stores for about 230$. Thanks for the help.

  • i have this wonderful rifle, it's impossible to describe the sensations when you fire with this " little bastard" it's simply great: the sound, the big recoil and, at least one of the best rifle ever made, my k98 is a 19490 produced by BERLIN-LUBECKER MASCHINENFABRIK. 8X57 RULES :)

  • Love that rifle, I just picked one up at the gun shop and took it home and cleaned it up a bit, can't wait until I go to the range.

  • The Mauser is a very cuddly rifle, just like the Lee-Enfields.

  • gorgeous rifle, i'm a wwii reenactor, love using the reliable kar-98

    nice shooting buddy

  • how much do these go for in the uk? usa prices are $2500 so i was wonder what it was like here

  • @TheAlexagius USA prices $2500???? I bought a 1939 German Mauser for $350 at Big 5 a couple months ago....

  • that is one beautiful mauser!! did you buy it in that condition or did you re-finish it?

  • sucks you brits got so many hoops to jump through just to shoot. maybe you'll one day reclaim your God given rights.

  • @Tricksalot well they aint very Divine if people can take them away, now are they?

  • you can load 5 rounds... i have one

  • is that in the uk ?? please answer

  • America Chopper

  • Which gun range is this?? Can someone please tell me!

  • May be a stupid question but im thinking of buying this rifle and i was wondering if this rifle kicks too much to shoot while standing, if not would a smaller child be able to shoot standing too?

  • @ty277187 It has a modest kick to it, padding can be useful for that. I hunt with my Mauser and I always fire while standing. I doubt a smaller child may be able to use it because it is a heavy rifle.

  • 2:17 HOLY F*CK LOOK AT THE GUYS HES WEAPON NEXT TO HIM SILENCED XD I WANE HEAR HIM SHOOT :D

  • @friggen666

that particular weapon is a R700 in .300 WSM in an Accuracy International chassis system with attached supressor, its a fun gun to shoot ( i have shot it + mildly know the owner)

  • Nice video mate i also wanna fire this gun:)

  • where is this?

  • is it allowed to go hunting with this rifle?

  • @WTFROFLMOA555 uhh ya why wouldnt you be able to

  • I noticed your feeding the rounds one at a time, was that some sort of rule or is your mag spring going out?

  • @R5H4D0W nah there was nothing up with the rifle. cant remember why i did that actually lol

  • @ramsy66 because its more fun :)

  • @R5H4D0W

Feeding rounds one at a time is done for safety reasons at a rifle range and gives the barrel time to cool between rounds for better accuracy. If you put one bullet in you rifle then shoot one shot it's empty. If you load 5 then you have a live rifle till all 5 are shot out. Full capacity loading is a sign of looking like a dangerous newbee dufuss. Other shooters feel more safe when you load one at a time. Shooting at the range is safe only if everyone follows good shooting ethecs.

  • @quickgene I wish I can say I feel safe when I'm at the range here hehe....shooting bolt action while flanked by 5.56 AR platforms with 30 round mags on one shoulder and my other shoulder pelted by casings from super awesome semiautos like the M1A springfield, etc. I'll keep this in mind though on my next trip to the range. Cheers :)

  • when i worked in a gunsmiths shop at my homevillage in germany there was also a Kar98k and the gunsmith said "its build in turkey so its crap, but the german built versions are excellent". when i asked him whether he has a m1 garand he answered "NO AMERICNA GUNS IN MY SHOP ,american guns are also crap the worst on the planet" and everytime i asked about an american gun the first thing he said " this is such a crappy gun" so i have to guess that german weapons are the best

  • @tropicthunder332 I love the old German K98 too great rifle for sure I own two of them. I'm looking for more of them. But the M1 garand was a superior war rifle and won the war for us.

  • @tropicthunder332 I love the old German K98 too. Great rifle for sure I own two of them. I'm looking for more of them.

But the M1 garand was a superior war rifle and won the war for us. German soldiers were outgunned.

  • @tropicthunder332 Wow, a German saying that American guns are crap. Biased much? I am an American and a gun enthusiast. However, I have a non-biased viewpoint on this. Both American and German firearms of WW2 were excellent! In fact, they still are. If you look at the leading manufacturers today, you will see that both German and American firearms are still top of the line. Both the K98 and the M1 Garand are very much sought after to this date.

  • @tropicthunder332 Well, for examlpe czech vz.24 is better than 98k, but its only oppinion.

  • @tropicthunder332 LOL YEP. M16's, M4's, 1911's, are totally shitty guns.

  • @SlaughterTheFrail Except 1911-yes :-)

  • @Gangster88232 Why.....

  • @tropicthunder332 he didn’t like the Garand, because he is probably a socialist had one too many pointed at him during the war

I like the Mauser… love my Garand

  • @warftrat87 I love the mauser and respect the Garand ;)

  • @warftrat87 Sorry to burst your wartime heroes bubble, but I doubt that he has seen any Garand pointing at him. At all! Truth is, the heroic allies were peeing their pants when facing German soldiers. That's why they bombed everything to rubble before even considering moving in. And if there was even a little bit of German resistance, they retreated and kept shelling the place for another 2 weeks.

  • @sub5secs no your rights... how can one compete with a German army that would dig a mass grave and put a whole town in it... including women and children...

  • @warftrat87 Garnad was semi-auto... given to soldiers with inadequate training.. ie: coundt really shoot. so spray and pray.

  • @Rackologist What proof do you have for that?

  • @Alex98714 read up on your history. Im not going to tell you, you'll learn more if you reaserch it.

  • @Rackologist Lol that's not how it works. When you make an unsubstantiated claim on the internet, you have to back it up with facts.

  • @warftrat87 Sense when did being a socialist mean you hate American guns, I like American, German and pretty much almost any gun.

  • @warftrat87 What a bullshit excuse, saying that he's socialist? Jesus Christ get over with it, I like the K98 over the M1 Garand aswell.

  • @tropicthunder332 om the M1 garand was the best rifle of the war, maybe your friend just has an anti american bias. the M2 .50 machine gun is american

  • @badgerattoadhall Best rifle in what way?

  • @FacistPikl if i was talking about the M1 it was mass produced, accurate ,reliable and semi automatic (with jungle and city warfare this gave it a huge edge over the other standard rifles.

  • @tropicthunder332 I wouldn't say the best but I know HK has put out some of the best weapons. I like how the redesigned the m4/16 and named it the hk416. Only this gun they build won't jam up like the colts gun. But the US still has made some of the best snipers today and still counting. But its not aways the best gun that wins. Its the best shooter with teh right gun. ;)

  • @tropicthunder332 lol what an idiot

  • press 4

  • this kid should not be shooting! damn brit

  • @goldsut

    good sound :)

  • Hi i'm the average CoD fanboy....

DUHH CAPS MAKE ME COOL AND THUTS NT IN COD SO ITS FAKE

  • that has to be a swiss built k98

no k98 is that difficult reloading or with that much video

  • no stripper clips?

  • Where do you do shooting like this? I've been to Bisley and all but wheres this place?

  • i never enjoyed my gewher-98, i could never get use to the sights, and i found it harder to pull a group with it. better off with a NO.4 lee-enfield, or a mosin nagant to tell the truth

  • @maddymann8 its because its so damn accurate:D

  • it's a K98k not a K98

  • @heisenfeis GET OFF THE VIDIOT GAMES.

First, there was the Gewehr 98, then came the Karabiner 98a (pretty much same gun, just renamed), then Karabiner 98b, and then the Karabiner 98k (k standing for kurz, German for short). The 98a and 98b are fairly rare, so most people just say "K98" for short.

    /education

  • @zchris87v Ye saw the last one was a k98k but the 2 first i din't see the whole gun and in the title you can just pick which one of the 3.

    Btw i play history channel

  • that bolt must be a bitch in a war

  • Can anyone pliz tell me were can i find 1 Mauser K98???? PLizzzzzzzzzplizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz i need that gun it is my favorite gun plizzzz i need it.... were can i find it??? i am from Greece..

  • @chriskoske try mauser.net thats were im gunna get mine. its the best place ive seen so far

  • @navysealinsane Do not buy from them. Mitchell's is notorious for refinishing guns, sanding the numbers and markings off, them stamping them to make them look like matching original rifles. They con people.

You can try impact guns, keep an eye on jgsales (to see when they have them), or the best bet is to go to gun shows and grab one. I picked up one today for a steal.

  • @chriskoske just dig a bit at kreta, perhaps you can find my grandfathers old rifle...^^ he lost his one at kreta in 1941... greetings from germany...

  • @chriskoske bummer, theres like six of these at all times at my local gun store and theyre pretty cheap too. i hope that doesnt just like rub it in for you, ammos fucken expensive though i shot all of the 17 dollar boxed so now its 34 a box for winchester.

  • Do you have feeding issues or do you just prefer one round at a time shooting? IIRC K98s have a 5 round capacity

  • The front band with the belt loop is attached incorrectly, the belt loop should be on the left side of the rifle. Otherwise, nice rifle!

  • 2:32 WTF A L96!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MicroSilence

that particular rifle is a remington chambered in .300 WSM in an Accuracy International chassis, not an actuall L96 action (but he does own a AWSM in .338 lapua magnum) this isn't bullshit i do know the owner and i have fired it just once.

  • @MicroSilence "WTF"? It may not even be an AIAW (only you airsoft queers know it as "L96"), since you can purchase an AICS for a Remington 700 for much less than the gun. Even then, I don't see how it's something to say "WTF" over. It's expensive, yes (about $6000), but there are videos of people shooting full-auto AKs, which cost somewhere around $15000 (for civilians).

  • the recoil is less than my 12 ga. but its louder than my 12 (It ROARS)

  • I want one for christmas XD no seriously there is an add in Guns and Ammo magazine

  • Why is it so slow just to shoot AND reload?

  • Love the power of the 8mm....

  • Gingers are allowed to have guns? What has the world come to...

  • Which range is this at??

  • A. W. E. S. O. M. E

  • How difficult it is nowadays to find one to buy ?

  • @rural182 found one in my local classifieds

  • has that kar98 been broken in? the bolt looks so sticky, another reason i prefer cock on close.

  • Hi there I'm from the uk and how did u get the license for it and where in england is this?

  • You poms aren't aloud to shoot the queen said so.

  • When I was shooting a Karabiner 98k to get my rifle shooting merit badge, I was pretty good for my age at the time. Most of my shots were bulls-eyes, which meant that I was a good sniper.

  • I'm Jealous... Where did you get the rifle?

  • DONT USE EAR PROTECTOR! FAGGOT!

  • at 208 look at hte gun in the back corner nice can

  • got no stripper clip thats the fun in shooting a bolt action

  • FUL METAL JACKET OR SOFT POINTS BULLETS???

  • It does not appear to kick that much (or at least you are handling the recoil quite well). It must have hurt the occasion you forgot to put your earmuffs on – LOL

  • @Aussie038 haha yes that made my ears ring a bit!

  • thats a awesome range you have there.

  • dit you clean and grese your bolt

  • 2.09 AWP XDDD ,, i love the mauser k98

  • Nice I love my K98, but do you like using the rifle hood on your sight. I can't stand them, it limits my view when hunting.

  • My favorite bolt action rifle.

  • The recoil is damn strong, isn't it?

But K98 remains a terrific rifle as well.

  • @mekhet83 yes haha it bruised my shoulder!

  • @ramsy66 Is it so powerfull ?!

  • @ramsy66 Then you are not holding it right. That rifle SHOULD not bruise your shoulder

  • recoil strong eh? also I shot with my father k98 Mauser

  • lot of kick if ur standing

  • shot 1 what a kick

  • На видео дурак-оружие смазывать надо и оно будет работать лучше

  • Well there is some good news. I had heard that the tories are considering abolishing the anti gun law. If so Im getting me someguns and joining this wondefull sport.

  • lol 2:30 the old man has a big ass sniper rifle haha

  • Blaser R-93Tactical one sweet machine

  • abgesehen davon das hier mal wieder nur asis posten schießt der typ doch mit 7.92x57mm oder nich ?
