I am all for the conservation, preservation, and protection of any animal. But , when you open a zoo, and the animals are blatantly mistreated, taken from their habitat, there is a problem...How about releasing the animals back into the natural habitat? How about having programs in place that allow the animal it's natural habitat to breed on there own...which they would if man would quit interfereing with the natural process of these animals....
That is true. im confused. was it a Jaguar or a Cheetah? surely someone who works there isnt going to make that mistake.... not sure that she would have survived a jaguar attack mind.
I dont think it was someone who worked there that called it a Jaguar..I think it might have just been an uninformed visitor.... I would be really worried if someone who worked there didnt know the difference between a jaguar and a cheetah..O_O
Someone forgot to feed the cute cheetahs...they look hungry....cheetahs are my favorite animals....but they are not known to be aggressive...maybe they didn't like her deodorant...or somethin....
we know cheetah is not aggressive, but sometimes animal if you have not fully treated in the fast, there's a possibility causing a trauma to the human...
thats what u get when u cage animals up n try to play with them that is retarded everyone who trys to keep them as pets u will get what u got comming to get real they r hunters they hunt n kill ur no exception
I just cannot believe that anyone thinks that it is a good idea to cage a wild animal. I don't care how nice the park is, how well fed they are, how happy they appear, they are wild animals and deserve to live their lives in the manner to which they were meant. They are not toys for our enjoyment. Grow up people, you really don't need to see a lion, or leopard, or a bear in a cage. can't you just take pleasure in knowing that they are living the life they were born to?
@gargomile I hope you're taking into mind that modern zoos aren't simply for entertaining people. They're there for animal conservation as well; why do you think it's such a huge accomplishment when a zoo manages to get an endangered species to breed? They're trying to increase the dwindling numbers of dying species. But the money to care for these animals isn't going to drop out of thin air. Allowing access to the public gives them the money they need for conservation and research. :/
While this may have been true like 50-100 years ago the facts are now that us having these animals in these reserves may be the only reason they survive into the modern century. We breed them and they live longer in captivity. Now I don't agree with making pets of these guys or anything like that so don't get me wrong.
I know, humans are such assholes, they think they are so fucking superior, i mean on lk farms it says no trespassing, same things with cheetahs. Humans need to stop acting lk were superior.
Yeah she's stupid, but it's not because she''s American. I'm American and it annoys the crap out of me when people can't tell the difference between a Cheetah, Jaguar, and Leopard... Or don't know the difference between a Black Leopard and a Panther (which is really a Florida Couger/Panther).
Maybe the woman had more important things to be thinking about than what particular sort of big cat was attacking the animal handler. I don't care if she told the operator it was a black bear, so long as the help arrived.
@bKiwiD No! that's bullshit man, the officer needs to know what kind of animal it is so he knows what sword to use! Dragons require special magical weapons to kill.
typical stoned slacker spending more time reading about big felines on the internet than studying books in school and getting a degree and making a living in life, but as long as you stoners have nachos, internet, and world of warcraft, fuck it right?
excuse me? you stupid asses are the nes that call us rascist, stereotypical and self centered then you turn right around and say something like that. wow. i honestly now think that its jealousy now
You have to be retarded to think a cheetah is a jaguar at that age.

How can you think that a cheetah is a jaguar?!?!
RollerCoaster107 4 months ago
Too all the anti- cage people... many of these animals are being PRESERVED..hence the name.."preserve"
for example, a lion would be nice to see in nature, but nature preserves and zoos ensure we can keep their species alive.
remember pandas....they would of died in nature.
same goes for so many other animals.
as long as they are treated good - that is what matters

no Cheetah nooo! :(
jimmytwotimez 1 year ago
That's weird..Cheetas don't usually attack people.
They're generally looked on as the least dangerous big cat, and also the easiest to domesticate.
rosydonut 2 years ago
there is no domesticating a big cat, or any wild animal for that matter.
giggidy87 2 years ago
I know that...but if one loses a leg or for some reason cannot survive in the wild or need to be hand raised from cubs.
They are the easiest and least dangerous to look after.
rosydonut 2 years ago
It is possible with a large amount of training and time. but i dont believe that it should be done.
