This is a live studio version, if that makes sense. It was recorded at the old Version City studios for an album called "Nicer By The Hour", which was released on Stubborn Records around 1997, if I remember correctly. The instrumental was laid down together, and the vocals/overdubs were done later. King Django (Skinnerbox, Stubborn All-Stars) produced it, and it's a fantastic album. If you can still find it, it's worth buying.

Really makes me miss the late 90s, when NYC ska was alive and well.
