@MacEliot both share the same musical producers, Stock Aitken Waterman, or you think that kylie is a musical genius? they were the creators of this singular musical pop trademark sound, they create Kylie,Bananarama,Sonia,Rick Astley and SOO many others, but kylie went undefeated from oblivion though.
Just great 80's dance music , Stock,Aitkin Waterman brillinace. They found a recipe that worked and then slightly changed it each time, always using the original mix . Brilliant
this was one ov them songs u loved but wudnt admit it,n sonia was def oneov those people who got excited over anything n sumone u wud def love to punch BUT iv grwn up now n STILL love this tune n dnt care who knows bring bak GREAT and BAD memories:)
I saw her live in a club that used to be called Chains. I got a tad carried away and called out "go on Sonia give it to them girl" in a scouse accent I had to shout "Toxteth" after it so she knew I wasn't ripping the piss. It was a fun performance, as it should be without serious pretentions.
@TheDIRMISTERY That's because they were all produced by Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman. They were the 3 biggest pop record producers from about 1984 to the mid 90s. Though, during 87-89 most of their songs started to sound the same because they found a 'sound' or style they liked, it worked and they copied it into the other songs, like Kylie Minouge, Rock Astley (he'd left at this point though) some Dead or Alive stuff and some Bananarama stuff.
Nice song although very much anything like Kylie Minogue ever did at the time, probably even too much. It basically sounds like a mix of "I Should Be So Lucky" and "Never Too Late".
@TimBrewin as a military morse code operator, my typos r seriously beyond me lol, but i posted this on facebook, and my old supervisor said she still has her cassette tape. granted she grew up in Spain, which i'm sure was easier to reach musically, because i do NOT remember this song, and i grew up in the US, but yet, I know who Rick is lol
@GDyss7997 I must apologise for my comment. Slightly factious. Strange coincidence though. I'm a communications officer for an ambulance & first aid provision charity in the UK.
@TimBrewin rubbish, no apology necessary, it was a silly mistake to make, its probably a good thing i don't copy code anymore...do actually hear distress calls? i'm a comms signals analyst so the 1st time i heard a pilot call for back up i had to change frequencies, i'd be an emotional wreck if i had to hear ppl in anguish that i couldn't help
@GDyss7997 I am the person who sits in multi-agency control facilities, typically at large public events, and deploys the foot patrols and vehicles as required to respond to incoming messages from other ground staff, eg, event stewards, security staff, etc etc. I don't actually deal with the public.
You're name has the number 81 in it, or haven't you realized that yet? As if you were around then. You were probably not born until the late 80's or early 90's or you wouldn't say that about Sonia she's a better singer than anyone now.
@1Thompsonmusic Wow, clearly you ARE a fucking idiot! If you saw my profile you would see it says 30! I'm sure your pea sized brain doesn't quite understand that yet. Feel sorry for you.
I've got A levels and a degree. I've recently got a PG diploma from the Royal Northern College of Music. It takes a lot of hard work to get that, so don't call me a dumb f**k OK?
sounds very similar to "Do They Know It's Christmas" from Band Aid II, "I should be so lucky" from Kylie and a little bit to "Together Forever" from Rick Astley
@ifyouwantbochin; well, that's not entirely surprising- the S/A/W production team (who dominated the UK charts in the late 1980s) were criticised at the time for the alleged formulaic similarity of a lot of their records.
