when was graffiti got introduced in Philippines? Just wondering tho...

It was introduced through hip-hop. Hip-hop culture became big in the Philippines because of the strong US influence. I first got into hip-hop before I got into graf. I saw pictures of NY graf in magazines and I love the colours and lettering. There wasn't any of this kind of graf in Manila so Flow-1 and I grab some cans and did some pieces even if they looked wack back in the days,

Flip-1 of SBA CRU writing! Hindi kami warfreak at sayang ang oras namin kung babanatan pa yung nag re-reklamo. Pero di ko na gustohan yung sinabi nya na wanted sa court ang mga gumagawa nang mga graffiti. Yung part na yun hindi na-air sa TV. Isang taon na kami nag p-paint dun sa hall of fame at meron kaming permit na gumawa doon. Anyway, ok na sa amin na pahiya sya sa NATIONAL TV! Mula nun hindi na sya dumadaan dun sa spot na yun.
