So I was wondering... My leg flexibility is pretty substantial like reallyyyy good. But my back not so much and that's because when I stretch my back my tailbone get's really tender like I'm not saying I have a board back, but like its not where I want it to be... did your tailbone do the same thing? Or am I doing something wrong?
@treymann33 I've never felt any stretches affect my bones unless I'm in a position that puts direct pressure on a bone. Perhaps you're stretches do that somehow. I can't say with a high degree of confidence though.
@thefourthcumming Yeah when I do backbends and I straighten my legs out and push my chest foward i think like the muscles around my tailbones squeeze it or something...Idk but it get's frustrating and I really don't know many safe stretches for the back so that's why I was wondering. I guess I am just doing something wrong =/
@treymann33 You might not be doing it wrong. We all have different body structures, and perhaps yours is just problematic for bridges. Again, I can't say with high confidence.
Stephen Shaw-Naar (anakrousis) has wider knowledge than me in terms of contortion. Maybe you can send him a message and get more help. Tell him Jamie recommended. He might take a while, but he's usually good about responding.
I kept thinking plopping had something to do with throwing out a joint while doing gymnastics. In my day, we called it fingering. You forgot to mention the importance of washing that thumb THOROUGHLY with anti-bacterial soap and warm water after you have it IN your butt. Just because if feels great doesn't mean there aren't downside risks. You'd think people should now this but they forget and touch each other and objects spreading nasty germs that make one sick or cause infection. Play safe.
Everyone who's ever done yoga or gymnastics has GOT to appreciate the difficulty of your back-bends, your seated forward bends, and all the variations of one-armed handstands that you've shown. Seeing these moves done so well is nothing short of beautiful! You've given me inspiration to try to make all of mine look this good someday. I hope you never stop smiling and laughing, because we all love your positive energy! Many hugs - and LOL for adding the "plopping thumb" stuff into the mix!
Bloody talented, wasn't really expecting the plopping bit though...never heard of it before, may drop it in conversation now to see if anyone knows what it is. lol
@Unicycle77 Thanks for the suggestion. I did go back and watch the vid again......I guess I was too caught up in watching all of the very flexible gymnastics movements to notice the words the first time. Now I know what "plopping thumb" is......and I got to watch all those amazing moves again.

The pink checkered mini-skirt was... awesome. And actually pretty hot. Not that the character wearing it didn't help =3
