Yes because in the far distant future the Highlands of Scotland are still around in an post-apocalyptic ...wait a minute! This show makes NO FUCKING SENSE. NOT EVEN ON A CARTOON LEVEL....
@Linklex7 Actually, no heads are chopped off in this series, unlike in the regular TV production. The knowledge is transmitted to the Highlander in a manner similar to what is shown at around 0.36 in this clip. The immortal simply becomes mortal and does not die - leading a normal life thereafter.
I like the end-credits a lot as well. See here: watch?v=Tc44DmupfQE.
@Linklex7 This show and the Mutant League which was about a bunch of mutants playing contact sports and dismembering each other played back to back. You just can't do that anymore.
Connor was actually beheaded in this animation, I think they did say that you can either pass it down or you can behead them. (Well its a kid show after all).
No,they didn't, in this animated series they never took a head, just stand one in front the other, hold the sword in the air and pass the quickquening,Highlander without beheanding is not highlander
Connor is mentioned in the this cartoon, but he is one of the "genators" who were the first immortals in ancient times. And he got his ass kicked by the villain. In a post modern apocalyptic world, a new hero arrises. He is Quenton Macleod and it's his job to take out the enemy. But what about the current times between ancient, and post modern? Well that time period isn't covered except it is described as a time of wars and people letting ambitions get in there way (anti war film obviously).
I hear they are going to be making a Highlander anime. Although I'm not sure if its based on the live action Highlander, as this american cartoon was.
A japanese studio is going to make an animated series too? There is also this anime movie released in 2007 Highlander : Search for a Vengeance. On imbd, it is said to be an American/Japanese co production. And by the way, this cartoon is not american, it was made by Gaumont, a french company.
looks like every MacCleod has a different surname according to which media he appears in: Connor MacCleod (film), Duncan MacCleod (serie), Quenten MacCleod (cartoon).
I think they actually explained this at some point. Connor was actually one of the few if only MacLeod immortals born a MacLeod, all of the others just happened to adopt the name for various reasons--Duncan was an orphan and raised by the MacLeods. Colin from the anime was bestowed the name by the clan for fighting alongside them in battle. I think Quentin from this show was actually the only other immortal MacLeod born of the bloodline.
this looks like a piece of shit!

Yes, a geographic area would not survive a nuclear war. Thats just silly.
The show is silly and dumb too, but you are still wrong on that mark.

"I got a idea for a brand new cartoon for children."
"What is it?"
"It's about a bunch of guys running around chopping each other's heads off."
". . . . it's gold. Begin production on it right away."
This is why I love and miss the 90's.

And then there's Owen MacCleod from the upcomming game.... Man, is everyone named MacCleod Immortal!?!
Theheruur 2 years ago
No, they're all different people who come from the same family
It's sort of like in Star Wars how good Jedi come from the Skywalker family, a lot of good Immortals apparently come from the MacCleod family.
Connor was the first MacCleod PERIOD. Duncan was a later one who was raised by Connor.
The other MacCleod's for whatever reason, weren't found by Connor and ended up learning about Immortality the hard way.
GullGet9 2 years ago
No, it's just the Scotland clan MacLeod has a lot of Immortals.
