  • this looks like a piece of shit!

  • should've given the lead character a better name than Quentin.

  • miss this

  • The fuck?! o_o

  • Yes because in the far distant future the Highlands of Scotland are still around in an post-apocalyptic ...wait a minute! This show makes NO FUCKING SENSE. NOT EVEN ON A CARTOON LEVEL....

  • Yes, a geographic area would not survive a nuclear war. Thats just silly.

The show is silly and dumb too, but you are still wrong on that mark.

  • It's always a Mclound in the highlands. lollll

  • I used to watch this before school, lol. How did it get from this to Spongebob...

  • this is the best

  • Yup ! And when I remember that my dad worked with Du Pontavice to create it, I enjoy this intro much better =)

  • WHat is music?

  • ARE YOU SERIOUS!? A cartoon of Highlander?

  • Pinocchio at 1:07?

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • They just look like Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon in Episode I.

  • "I got a idea for a brand new cartoon for children."

    "What is it?"

"It's about a bunch of guys running around chopping each other's heads off."

    ". . . . it's gold. Begin production on it right away."

This is why I love and miss the 90's.

  • @Linklex7 Actually, no heads are chopped off in this series, unlike in the regular TV production. The knowledge is transmitted to the Highlander in a manner similar to what is shown at around 0.36 in this clip. The immortal simply becomes mortal and does not die - leading a normal life thereafter.

I like the end-credits a lot as well. See here: watch?v=Tc44DmupfQE.

  • @Linklex7 This show and the Mutant League which was about a bunch of mutants playing contact sports and dismembering each other played back to back. You just can't do that anymore.

  • @Linklex7 Except he said: "it's gold. Begin production on it right away, but no heads will be chopped off"

  • @Linklex7 More like "Let's make a cartoon based on the 1986 fantasy action film "Highlander".

  • This was an awesome show.

  • My ex-roommate loved this toon and I felt that it was kinda stupid at first, then we saw the first espiode and then I liked it, too.

  • Just bought the series on DVD. This was so good back in the day.

  • 1:11 So...why does his sword explode?

  • Great seires loved it as a child :)

  • Original version:

    /watch?v=abHmx_UxGGo

  • Whats with Kortans freakish inhuman foot at the beginning?

Also, Igipop is in the intro? I couldn't even remember that. Also in some other languagues they acually said stuff around 0:53 to 1:17

  • Still less stupid than Endgame

  • @ImperatorZor Sad but true.

  • This show was crap, but it was cool they brought back Ramirez.

  • Have to admit, as bad this show is it was very good looking.

  • Connor was actually beheaded in this animation, I think they did say that you can either pass it down or you can behead them. (Well its a kid show after all).

  • Needs more Queen...and the guys that did the animation for the anime...and a better plot...and...

Just dump it and start over.

  • Best Top Retro

  • I remember watching this on TV when I was in 6th grade. Is this available on DVD?

  • I remember this series being fucking surreal when I watched it as a nipper

  • OMG that Guitar rift that starts at 0:50 is one of the best i've ever heard!

  • @Skorndar

I like the closing credit riff more.

  • @Skorndar OMG I absolutely totally agree with you..

That's actually my favorite part of the intro.

I've loved it since I first heard it back in the mid 90's and still dig it til this day!

  • @Skorndar yes my dear !!!its so awesome wow better than tha cartoon right now

  • No,they didn't, in this animated series they never took a head, just stand one in front the other, hold the sword in the air and pass the quickquening,Highlander without beheanding is not highlander

  • an animated series about guys chopping each others heads off how did this ever make it to air

  • the quickening!!!

  • I didn't know there was an animated series! LOL Awesome

  • Connor is mentioned in the this cartoon, but he is one of the "genators" who were the first immortals in ancient times. And he got his ass kicked by the villain. In a post modern apocalyptic world, a new hero arrises. He is Quenton Macleod and it's his job to take out the enemy. But what about the current times between ancient, and post modern? Well that time period isn't covered except it is described as a time of wars and people letting ambitions get in there way (anti war film obviously).

  • Fantastic video ..

    Thank you ...

  • Excellent video! : )

  • I hear they are going to be making a Highlander anime. Although I'm not sure if its based on the live action Highlander, as this american cartoon was.

  • A japanese studio is going to make an animated series too? There is also this anime movie released in 2007 Highlander : Search for a Vengeance. On imbd, it is said to be an American/Japanese co production. And by the way, this cartoon is not american, it was made by Gaumont, a french company.

  • looks like every MacCleod has a different surname according to which media he appears in: Connor MacCleod (film), Duncan MacCleod (serie), Quenten MacCleod (cartoon).

  • And then there's Owen MacCleod from the upcomming game.... Man, is everyone named MacCleod Immortal!?!

  • No, they're all different people who come from the same family

It's sort of like in Star Wars how good Jedi come from the Skywalker family, a lot of good Immortals apparently come from the MacCleod family.

Connor was the first MacCleod PERIOD. Duncan was a later one who was raised by Connor.

The other MacCleod's for whatever reason, weren't found by Connor and ended up learning about Immortality the hard way.

  • No, it's just the Scotland clan MacLeod has a lot of Immortals.

  • I think they actually explained this at some point. Connor was actually one of the few if only MacLeod immortals born a MacLeod, all of the others just happened to adopt the name for various reasons--Duncan was an orphan and raised by the MacLeods. Colin from the anime was bestowed the name by the clan for fighting alongside them in battle. I think Quentin from this show was actually the only other immortal MacLeod born of the bloodline.
