  • watch my videos :)

  • referee was waiting on a clean shot until he stopped it

  • befor it even started... fighting is bad.

  • 42 seconds

  • The big deal? Good job ref.. those guys talking would have wanted it stopped if they would have gotten knocked down..but real fighters want to continue everytime....good job ref.

  • Good call, those commentators suck, he was defending himself, he didnt look totally out of it, the last punch was the finisher though, ref was giving the guy a chance. Ive seen some pretty brutal beatdowns when it should have been stopped immediately, but the dumb ass ref waited to long and ended the boxers career.

  • Good stoppage, the last punch was the only one that landed in the flurry

  • 0:43 seconds, after being given the break he then doesnt respond for a second time the ref should stop it then

  • As long he is standing, why do something?

  • yeah yeah of course the white guy beats up the black guy

  • its called defensive fight modus

  • I would have stopped it at around 0:29. He's not fighting back, he's just desperately covering up.

  • The commentators on Sky always want the ref to jump in + stop fights too early.

  • Good ref, these guy train for months for these fights, have to give them a chance.

  • the ref had a brother who put the black guy too loose in the second round

  • 4 Million views..barely any top comments, guess that this is my big chance, erm...let me think...I know...BOOBIEEEEES!!!

  • hiya i love uk

  • he was defending himself.... as far as the ref is concerned hes still good to fight

  • omg tell that moron that he is allowed to hit the body too, ffs smacking him across the guard like 30 times, not one body shot, fucking pissed me off watching.

  • Ref stopped it after the only clean shot after the knockdown, until that point no clean shot had been landed (so i do not know what fight the commentators were watching) the guys legs had yet to recover from the knockdown ( and that was the fastest count i have ever seen in boxing) - count should have been slower and ref should not have stopped it until at least 2 shots in a combination are clean shots with the guy unable to either cover up or return punches.

  • I dont think the ref should have stopped the fight there either, it should have kept going based on the fact that he was still defending himself when the ref stopped the fight. poor decision.

  • 2 bums, doubtful either has the conditioning for the fight, or that they'd produce a fight worth watching, so i'd have stopped it from even being broadcast... that, or televise it, but let both fighters wear brass knuckles

  • The guy didn't even make the 10 count. Ref was at 9 and he wasn't even facing him. So I'd say 19 seconds of the video.

  • i think he stopped it early...

  • That was really a bad stop... If I was redding I would of let it go a little longer

  • fight to the death

  • no problem with the stoppage at that point

  • i pee on the toilet bowl to make less noise

  • @1009eminem good for you.

  • @1009eminem hmm i pee'd on the side of the toilet bowl just not to annoy my parents

  • @1009eminem i pee in the middle to sound dominant

  • @1009eminem - You are a FUCKEN idiot!!!

  • being the black guy was getting owned i would have not stopped the fight until death.

  • nope reff was bang on, gave sprott a chance other punchs only hit his gloves soon as sprott was going down reff was there good judgement good rett

  • It was rightfully stopped, red trunks was a walking punching bag.

  • cool I` m a sweet sesy doll, who is not just all about the looks

  • i would have stopped it at 0:43

  • I thought the ref should stop it if your taking damage without attempting to hit your opponent. Yeah hes defending himself but clearly isnt punching back, thus creating an onslaught which is dangerous for the boxer ?

  • Michael had his guard up, he was defending himself. After the knock down he got caught by a hefty punch straight away but continued to defend himself. Then after some glancing blows the ref stopped it when one more clean punch got through.

I thought the ref did an ok job

  • I say easiest way to judge is look at the black guys expression when it gets called off. He doesn't seem to care... he had no fight left in him and that knock down was heavy as f^ck! And just before the mouth-gaurd gets taken out he is woooobbly 1:04. Kudos for getting up though but... ye no swings... no fight left. I need to watch whole fight now seems like it might have been pretty good

  • what in the fuck is that announcer goin on with, what an idiot, the white kid didnt even land one, ridiculous, hitting his block, thats what it is there for, to defend, he was ok as far as i could see, coming from a boxing background.

  • The ref did it by the book. Stopping it any earlier would have the title of the video being "Did he stop the fight too early". Ref can't win either way.

He suffered a flash knockout (still a concussion). If it were an MMA fight it would have been called a KO. It's dangerous to continue after suffering any brain injury, so the commentators were not "wrong" to question it, as the result would have been the same if he did stop the fight earlier.

  • Commentators were a bit over anxious about wanting the ref to stop the fight. If Sprott's hands were by his waist then sure stop the fight but they weren't , he was defending himself, having said all that he stopped it at about the right time.

  • i think he stopped it at the right time, the other guy didn't really land any clean punches after the down. the guy was wobbly but he had his guard up

  • @EmeraldIsleStar True but when I pay to see a fight, I wanna see a fight. I could care less about the boxers safety, I wanna see him get hit in the face.

  • He stopped it at exactly the right time.

  • He was wobbly but no punches even got through. The referee did a good job. Thats why its boxing not mma. He has a chance to recover.

  • "What does Wayne Llewelyn have to do?" Damn near kill him, I guess.

  • Honestly i wouldnt stop the fight.

    Why?

Cause im a cold bastard that likes to watch people getting raped.

  • BANG ON THE WHISKA!

  • If I was the ref I wouldn't have stopped it at all, I would have let him get knocked out. That's what the fans wanna see, that's why the boxers are paid.

  • After the left hook at :42 I would have stopped it. The guy nodded and said he wanted to continue after the knockdown, so i would have given him a chance to throw a haymaker, a puncher's chance, but the first solid shot he took I would step in. That was at :42

  • In modern boxing you have to punch back after a small amount of time if you dont the ref has to stop it.

  • man i feele bad for that guy he was getting the crap beaten out of him

  • fuck the commentator the boxer said he was fine soo he was fine he stepped in when there was no answer for what 25-ish punches FAIR

  • Nothing to answer for, clean fight, all good, move on !!!!

  • Wouldn't of stopped it.

  • He was still defending himself.

  • @InfektedBiitezz but wasn't giving anything back and looked shaken

  • @InfektedBiitezz You have to be intelligently defending yourself

  • Not to be racist or anything but when the irish/scottish commentator took over all i heard was "Hubdubnuplipgup hophun un mun"

  • I thought it was gonna go the full 2:12 of the clip, but this wasn't bad. Sure you could make the argument that it should have been stopped but it wasn't outright offensive like the announcers implied, and it certainly didn't look like the guy suffered any permanent damage after getting back up at the 9 count.

  • Perfect stoppage at the right time.

  • to be fair he gave sprott all the time to regain focus. i dont think sprott would complain.

  • That was fine, he was not even connecting to his head when he was hitting him, so I think the ref had perfect timing

  • i understand that he got back up which usually means the match continues but when he went down, the way he went down, he looked limp for a second and looked out of it still when he got back up that shoulda been a T.K.O.

  • @TheSweetAndSourTeam the point of boxing is 1. to be the best (yes part is ego). 2. money 3. fighting and violence is part of nature sorry to say so some people just enjoy doing it. however if u dont like boxing then there are like 1000 other sports.. dont watch it. and im not trying to be rude or anything but it is also rude to bash sports that a LOT of other people like so maybe you should try to be more open minded.

  • Not bad by the ref...almost felt he should stop it at :34 but he got away... good stoppage

  • after he hit the canvas. when a guy hits the ground and stretches out full eagle he has no gas left.

  • @pskeeza Not if he gets back up. if he gets up that means he's made the decision to carry on it's the boxer's decision in that situation the ref can't just tell him to finish when he get's back up.

  • i would have said 0:28 but he kept his guard up .. the ref was about to a few times

  • The boxer was still defending himself, the ref made the right call when he got clocked hard there and then stopped it, as long as your still defending yourself you should get a chance to get back into the fight, but yea he was a goner.

  • 44secs in

  • The commentators are sitting behind their mics, making comments for a reason. They are not refs, and are not in the ring. The ref did his job, and knew what he was doing. If he'd stopped the fight before, he would have taken heat from the fighter and the crowd. Stopped after he did, and the fighter could have been seriously injured or worse. He had to give him a chance to recover. When he was convinced that was not going to happen, he called it. He stopped it at the perfect time.

  • REF WAS OK WITH HIS DECITION NO WRONG DONE THERE

  • He may have been waiting for the next round. Just survive. In that situation the opponent only has to get in and land a good lunch, or get him off balance and the ref will stop it. If I ever box I'll never go that caper - I think you've got to fight back or you risk being robbed.

  • Stopped too quickly after that last hit. Should have given him a chance to put his gloves up once more and then step in if no block or punch. The guy looks ok after and is even a bit peeved when he congratulates the other guy, who just brushes past him without respect.

  • I would have stopped it the second pinkie stepped into the ring..!!!

  • refs job is to make sure serious damage doesn't happen might have been better to stop it right there. it might seem fine but they gotta worry abt long term effects

  • Was fine, good call....

  • the back of his shorts is says tko

  • The guy isn't dead or badly hurt, so what's the problem?

  • @CynicalSino YEah, is not a tickling competition, not waving feather dusters xD

  • The second the dog in red put his gloves up and refused to fight!

  • He did good you know he give him time

  • Good call

  • I would have been thinking about stepping in any moment after the first knock down. Once it's clear a fighter cannot fight back that should be the end of it. As a spectator I would not have complained if it had been called off after the knock down.

  • never ;)

  • he was still defending himself and the other fighter didnt land any big shots

  • @dgfjh234 Is the ability to keep your hands up enough? There are plenty of fights where a fighter is out on his feet, has no chance of punching back but still has his hands up. He was too far gone for big shots landing flush to be needed.

  • @dgfjh234 The fuck are you talking about? He landed a HUGE shot right before the fight was stopped, he was getting punched out the whole time and not throwing shots, he was on the brink of being injured.

How do you people thumbs up this shit?

  • Ref. got absoultely right job, he gave red short satisfy and understand that he would lose. I know red short would argue with ref. if he announce KO.

  • i hate advertising b

  • Honestly the ref did a good job. Red dude was up and defending tryin 2 regain composure. White dude did nothin but punch his gloves after that. Nothing landed. But red shorts never fully regained composure, and threw 0 punches. Maybe after the clinch at about 0:43 is the earliest it should've been stopped.

  • the fighter was still protecting himself, the punches he was absorbing were partial punches meaning connected with glove first. I thought it was stopped too soon. Just my opinion but I as my wife constantly tells me, my opinion is usually the wrong one.

  • @wtfdudenotcool101 LOL. Dude you haven't met my wife. Now go jerk off in your parents basement and let us adults play.

  • @DAVEPRO74 I don't care about your pig ugly wife. I don't care that you think she's the prettiest thing ever just like all parent's think their kids are special.

The fact that you think it's funny to say that your wife nags you constantly and tells you you're wrong is what I hate.

It's the same bullshit that's on every sitcom in america. The stupid fat husband who is lucky to have the way too hot for him wife to tell him what to do.

Your balls were cut off long ago and you're ok with it.

  • @wtfdudenotcool101Man you are so deep!!! dude, seriously put on what ever it is you EMO shitfucks listen too and step in front of a bus!!! PLEASE!! The world begs you!! You have ZERO concept of what the world is about and how it functions. Oh you are so cool because you hate the establishment. WELL LA FEAKIN DA!!!! So going back to my statement, go back to your pullout sofa in your parents basement and jerk off to Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. Then hang yourself. You assmaggot waste of flesh.

  • @DAVEPRO74 WTF are you talking about? I make a great living, provide a service to society, pay my taxes, I vote and make a concerted effort to learn as much as i can everyday.

WTF do you do besides moan about your naggy wife and act like it's a joke?

You mirror what I hate about America and act like it's a joke.

  • these commentators are a bunch of tears..

  • directly

  • i woulda stopped at 0:31

  • It was a good call, I think ref did the right thing. He gave the other fighter a chance come back. Also, the defeniding fighter was keeping his arms up; if the arms had been down I would have stopped the fight immediately.

  • if the fighter can't take it he should drop to a knee

  • The Ref bet money on the guy in the red...lol...

  • I think he did good to keep it going, if the people who matter didn't like it, the team, they'd have thrown in the towel so well done ref

  • It was fine. If 9 seconds is no good they should change the KO to 9 seconds instead of 10, lol. That's what the rules are for.

  • The guy was up and nodded that he was OK. The other fighter only landed 3 solid shots unanswered and that's how I would do it too. Sure the guy was wobbly but the guy throwing punches was wide open for a counter punch so you have to give a fighter a chance to come back.

  • @hitmansrn

Agreed. Plus the corner can throw in the towel anytime they feel their fighter is in real danger. Why do people always blame the refs for letting fighters fight?

  • @hitmansrn you cant counter punch if your rocked...

  • @TheJayg2 The point is not to make assumptions. It's possible at any moment for a counter punch, and the point is to give each competitor the fairest amount of time to do their thing.

  • @TheJayg2 I can.

  • @when should it be stopped is the question being asked. The answer is when Llewellyn stops punching Sprott's gloves and lands a shot on his head/face.

  • erm he was still able to defend himself, it is only stopped when one fighter consistantly is unable to block a punch and put himself in danger

  • he was still standing, i wouldnt have stopped it

  • I would of stopped it at the same time that was the first big punch after the knockdown all the rest did not land this is fine.

  • I bet that guy got punch drunk LOL

  • LOL... i guess the guy in the red trunks said..."U c there I beat the hell out of your fist with my head".....

  • i dont see what was wrong, he never fell, so to my concern never stop it till ko or til someone is breakin bones or bleeding, and when i say bleeding, i mean... ALOT

  • stop at 0:30 but at 0:42 it just HAS TO be stopped. crazy!

  • I would have stopped it at 0:01

  • I think when he stood up

  • i would of stopped it at 0:22...u cn c that he cant take nomore shots!!!

  • refree was fine ?

  • stoppage was fine

  • he stopped it at a good time.. dont watch fighting sports if you cant stand to see a man get hurt... Many times fighters have come back and it would suck you prepared a while for that fight and get it stopped when there was a chance you can come back.

  • @TrueGreatness73 there was 0 chance for that guy to come back, he was wobbling around, stumbling back, unprepared to open his guard. besides, "fighting sports" is not about hurting the other guy, that's the wrong attitude. it's about skill, pacing, stamina, etc. you don't win by giving someone else brain damage, wtf is with sports fans these days?! combat sports, just like any other sports, is a competition of skill. a KO may be thrilling, but it's not the name of the game.

  • @ubersum1 Wobbling around doesn't always necessarily mean you lost the fight as I have seen tons of fighters come back from that. Second of all that is your opinion about fighting sports. Third of all if people dont want to get hurt dont join the damn sport. Whats up with all these scary ass fans worried about fighters health when that was there choice to fight? I use to kick box and fight MMA armature. I never met 1 fighter that was worried about not trying to hurt the guy. Go watch golfing.

  • @TrueGreatness73 i think you somehow completely missed the point of my argument. my point is that the sport is not about hurting the opponent but by wearing him down and earning victory through skill. obviously pain is involved, and obviously, it's a big part of this sport. but the purpose is to show off skill rather than brutality, which should go without saying. it's implied in the word "sport." and there was really no way that guy was going to come back from that! o.O pretty clear to me...

  • @ubersum1 You said, "my point is that the sport is not about hurting the opponent but by wearing him down and earning victory through skill". You just contradicted yourself. In order to win points you have to hurt them AKA(also known as) effective punches. You are not making any sense. You say its about this and that yet you are contradicting yourself. In boxing if you land 100 jab punches and your opponent only lands 80 hard punches the winner will go to the guy with 80 punches. Go watch golf

  • @TrueGreatness73 again, you're refusing to understand my point. whether due to pride or stubbornness, you're not reading my words literally. i've already laid out everything i wanted to say, so either re-read it or let it go. i'd be glad to be of a different opinion to you, but that's not what's happening, you're just not getting my point, so...

  • @ubersum1 I know exactly what your point is yet it makes no sense because you are saying the point is to wear them down through skills.Wearing them down= punching them down unless you are referring to a different term in boxing that nobody is aware of. If you ever have a chance watch the Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin fight.Carwin was smashing Brock Lesnar and according to you the ref should of stopped the fight because Brock was "wobbling around and stumbling". Guess what? Brock came back to win

  • @TrueGreatness73 hmm you claim to understand my point, and yet your argument is incredibly circular and repetitive. no, you don't get my point. let me break it down, i enjoy watching footwork, stamina, bobbing, weaving, well-timed hits, counters, powershots that land, etc etc. obviously, all of these facets tie in with "hurting the opponent," but that isn't the POINT. what i DON'T enjoy watching is someone pounding on someone who can't fight back, because there's no skill or game involved.

  • @ubersum1 in other words, i enjoy that they hurt each other via skill, rather than watching people just hurting each other. if you watch boxing for the pain, then i suggest you may as well be watching bdsm. i don't get off to that, so i can't speak for it. what i enjoy about boxing is the skill involved. which i might add is a pretty fucking obvious thing, if you think about it... it is a sport afterall.

  • @ubersum1 Who doesnt enjoy counters, power shots, weaving, technique ect.? The main point is when to jump in and stop a fight and this was ok for him to stop the fight at that time. You dont understand that many fighters have came back after wobbling more than this guy. The point is that we dont agree on when a ref should jump in. This guys gloves were up which tells the ref hes still defending himself.I know as my uncles a boxing ref and I been in the fight game. I dont think fighting's for you

  • @ubersum1 also, i love watching boxing and kickboxing. i wouldn't if i couldn't stand to watch people "hurting each other," but i don't watch it specifically because i enjoy people getting ktfo, i enjoy watching someone technically outdo someone else, whether that involves a ko or not. but unnecessarily beating someone who can't respond is neither technical or skillful. even the victor in this vid was sort of "wtf" that the ref let it happen

  • Yeah at about 0:30 when the guy isn't really able to fight anymore, but the ref did a good job. No need for the dude to go down again and possibly injure himself.

  • I've seen worse.

  • GODAMN YOU COMMERCIALS!

  • No biggie. The guy was still standing.

  • good call i wish all refs were like that

  • bad ref that should have been stopped at the beggining

  • What's is with these ads?

  • Good call ref.................TKO.

  • 0:30.

Had no legs left in him. Just a stumbling KO'd guy really.

  • poor guy

  • he isnt no rocky >>

  • ref was great ...gave him a chance to recover ....and as he was trying to get his feet back wasn't taking many tough shots ....mainly on the gloves

  • I would have stopped the fight on Tuesday.

  • 0:28

  • They're damned if they do and damned if they don't! Sometimes when the ref stops a fight the person who was on the verge of being knocked out complains that he could have carried on (as do fans sometimes). Perhaps in this instance the ref did leave it a bit late.

  • he stoped it at the right time he gave him a lil bit of time to see if he was going to fight back but he wasn't so he stopped. nice job ref.

  • Good stoppage. Ref gave him 34 seconds to recover he was defending himself but just couldn't recover completely in time to fire back.

  • It was ok.

  • i WOULD OF LET THEM KEEP GOING

    fight to the death

  • dude that was perfect timing, he wasnt really getting hurt, he could of and as soon as he did the ref stopped it

  • Apparantly these announcers have never seen Gatti/Ward

  • Comment removed

  • If he can defend himself and move around the ring, he can make a comeback

  • at 0:31

  • this is why boxers die and mma fighters do not..

  • @ducatimechanica342 Do you do either??? Seriously, they both take skill and you should respect the people who do any of these kind of sports.

  • I actually said "Right there" the exact second the ref jumped in. He did a great job.

  • Ref had money on the black dude.

  • I think he stopped it at just the right time.

  • should have been stopped right after the first punch after he gets up from the knockdown, his reaction to that punch says it all, there was no need for anymore

  • ref had money in the fight

  • After gettin knocked down you can come to your senses any second. Yea sprott was rattled, but he could have shaken it off and layed wayne out when he got careless just tryn to finish the fight with ONE PUNCH

  • I think the ref did a good job. A lot of the shots weren't landing clean anyways. Give the boy a chance.
