I support the public option because it is needed so people have a choice. This has been a huge problem not only in health insurance but other markets as well. When we don't have a choice but to use the only available option then we don't have freedom of choice and people don't get that.

This bill still has to be reconciled with the house bill. It WILL be challenged in court if it ever becomes law. This bill is unconstitutional and will be over turned. The government can not mandate that you purchase ANYTHING.
