This is one of the funniest scenes in the entire Rocky franchise. It's just pure entertainment. I've been watching this since i was a little kid and it's still superb. Paulie is just brilliant in Rocky 3. Some hilarious lines. "I don't sweat you". "He can't train to this jungle junk music". "I don't even have a gun". Quality stuff.
I want to hit dislike because you left out the thunderlips entrance, which is great. However, you didn't do what everyone else did, which was add stupid background music to it. Unlike the other clips, we get to hear what everyone is saying, which is fun. Have to thumbs up.
I was hearing an interview with Stallone telling how much fun filming this wasn't. He was so glad he got that legdrop done in one take, having that 300 pound skin-covered tree trunk slam into his chest was NOT something he wanted to do twice. It rattled him down to the soul!
I was drinking my pop when Hulk Hogan first struck Rocky on the back, sending him to the floor (or almost through the floor) and the look that Rocky gives as he looks up in disbelief at his predicament - LOL! I almost spat out my drink! Hey Meatball! *biff biff SLAM!* I couldn't stop laughing. This is one of the best scenes. :)
I wish they didn't give Hogan this stupid character. It would've been amazing to be in the theater watching this and Hulk Hogan's theme music starts playing and he does his entrance flailing his arms around and ripping his shirt off. And they announce him as Hulk Hogan.
@NICKREAPER316 Good question, I wondered that myself back in the day. My assumption is that the WWF or whatever it was back then had rights to the Hulk Hogan character. Really it was their creation. So United Artists would have had to pay money to the WWF to use the character in the movie. UA could save money by just creating their own character, Thunder Lips. I could be wrong too. It is just my assumption.
@robbyled I looked it up and it turns out this was before Hulk Hogan became really popular. Didn't have Real American as his theme song. Infact at this early point in his WWF career he was one of the baddies in wrestling. He wore the cape and the same wrestling gear. All they really did was give him a hat and change his name.
@NICKREAPER316 Before Hulk Hogan and, this was under Vince McMahon's farther (Vince McMahon Sr.) and and he did not take kindly to Terry doing the movie and fired him in 1981. He was hired back in 1983 when Vince jr. took over the company and thus began Hulkamania.

If you watch the very end of this clip when they're taking the picture (4:53), you'll hear Rocky say "You know, sometimes charity really hurts", then after the pic is taken, you can just see the clip of the newspaper where it says "Rocky and Thunderlips raise $75,000 for Youth Club".
If someone says wrestling is fake well let them see this. Like Thunderlips sayd 'That the name of the game.' You have perform and sell the moves. These guys are tough and string so it is going to hurt.
