After getting the nand to read (first few tries got me no where) and writing xell, now my console is E79'd.

I am have checked that its a Falcon 5770. When I opened the 360 flash tool, the key vault said bad. Does that mean I messed up?

You can use LPT but the NAND-X with pinheaders i highly recommend because i have a Jasper JTAG with a Nand size of 512mb and with LPT it takes 7hrs to read the full Nand and 20mins with the NAND-X :D

@laidysman2000 ok if you console has been updated pasted the 7371 dashboard then you can no jtag it, but jtag doesn't work on live, and it allows for homebrew to be plated on the console.

I have a xenon motherboard, that has been refurbished. When it came back it had the 2.0.7371.0 kernel and on the back it says: mfr date: 2009-07-25 It's never been updated since.

My question is: Am I out of luck?

@CarolinaGamer Got really lucky, dumped my NAND a few times and the CB version is 8192. I looked it up and it's exploitable, but now I have another problem. When I flash XeLL, I get one red light and E79 error. Flashing the original dump back worked and it was working again. After the second time I flashed XeLL, same problem: E79. But when I hook it up to the Nand-X again JTAG tool says: "could not detect a flash controller" I now for a fact that the drivers are OK.

@Alomania85 If you have been on Xbox Live recently, you're out of luck. As it has been updated to the newest dashboard (2.0.9199.0) But of course, this has been answered about a million times. @kongakonga Most of the time that is the soldering, you need to double check it, and also make sure you have the drivers installed.

Windows will see the NAND-X as "MemoryAccess". All you have to do is right click it, select "Update Driver" and browse to the NANDPro directory.
