My hunch is MMR vaccine, because from what I read parents of autistic children say their kids were fine until this vaccine. If this is true, than it would be almost impossible to solve the problem. Pharmaceutical companies are very powerful, and they would oppose anything that blames their product. They could be bankrupted by lawsuits, so they will vehemently oppose this.

My cousin had Autism and it was really bad when he was 3-4yrs old he use to beat his head on the wall and scream when he got frustrated But as he grew he was able to communicate and he has a very good memory he memories all the alphabets and pictures on his favorite toy.
He is in the first grade now and he is still getting some help but now he is able to have a conversation with you and ask question the doctors said that he should be fine when he is 10 yrs old So this thing is very strange some kids never even talk yet my cousin does not have any problem talking now and he is very outgoing and gets along with other kids perfectly.

It could be partly dietary. In the case of Ethiopians, for instance, teff is a better source of some amino acids than is meat, but it is scarce in Israel and the USA. There may be some Somali foods that are also lacking here that leave a developing fetus short of some crucial amino acids.

Then it's also genetic. But I still think vitamin C is part of it - it could be a catalyst to an already-present condition. It could be vaccines but that would mean Somalis react differently to vaccines than others (including others of sub-saharan ancestry) Such a variation surely cannot be genetic? Genes, environment (pollution) and vaccine could be all contributing to this affliction. I don't believe one thing is at fault, but it is possible that people with certain genes can react to the vaccine differently. We all know that medicines affect people differently, some might have no side affects and others could die or become injured by them.
Vitamin D has been ruled out, because autism is occurring in hot countries too.

My hunch is MMR vaccine, because from what I read parents of autistic children say their kids were fine until this vaccine. If this is true, than it would be almost impossible to solve the problem. Pharmaceutical companies are very powerful, and they would oppose anything that blames their product. They could be bankrupted by lawsuits, so they will vehemently oppose this.

This is actually very common in small communities whose culture allows inbreeding. This is common in communities I know of in Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, and quite a few places in the middle-east. My cousin had Autism and it was really bad when he was 3-4yrs old he use to beat his head on the wall and scream when he got frustrated But as he grew he was able to communicate and he has a very good memory he memories all the alphabets and pictures on his favorite toy.

He is in the first grade now and he is still getting some help but now he is able to have a conversation with you and ask question the doctors said that he should be fine when he is 10 yrs old So this thing is very strange some kids never even talk yet my cousin does not have any problem talking now and he is very outgoing and gets along with other kids perfectly.
