You know, I was in the recycling business, and worked for replanet for a while. the only true recyclable things are metals. Thanks to this bio-degradable movement, bottles are very difficult to recycle. You know, the ones with polymers from corn? While these bottles are allegedly bio-degradable, they still contain some very toxic plastics.. If anything, these bottles are a bigger threat than the originals.. The last thing you want is tiny plastic particles floating around in water..

i think many people worry about the environment but. some people are ignorant and toss cans in trash cans waste paper. NOTE:paper comes from tress when paper is wasted trees are killed and we need tress for oxygen. So i try to clean what i can in the neighborhood but 1 person can't make a change so i ask when ever you have a opportunity to clean recycle or something eco-friendly do so and we can all make the world a better place. So spread the word to friends,neighbors, and family members.

there's another way of persuading such ppl: instead of saying save our planet say this: well look at it this way, you can either change a little bit and in some cases pa a little bit more OR you can do what you always do and eventually the country will have to change when the world will f*ck up and then your country wil be like: well sh!t now we have to invest into renewable energy so we need to pay sh!tloads to invest... where could we get that money? i know! let's raise the tax!

@blazikenflashfire It does. Recycling actually uses more energy than it does to just extract brand new plastic, for example. Recycling paper based products is stupid because Wood is a renewable resource, and all wood used it grown on tree farms. Aluminum is the exception. Its good to recycle aluminum. However, everything else is just a waste.

Landfills actually produce methane gas, which is both natual and very effective. Modern landfills are extremely green. look up Penn and teller: recycling
