Sooooooo the point of this video is????? LAME I coulda made a better video with a paper plane! It is made to fly not sit on the ground and get pictures taken thats what girls are for! LOL
Vertical fins are at to great of an angle. Engine nacelle cones are almost the same size as the opening to the nacelle. It just doesn't have the scale realism of an SR 71.
if u ever look into the sky and see a com trail with ring's around kinda look like smoke rings well u may have seen the flight path of one off these the baddest bird ever to fly in my opinion ! and the most beautifull thing I have ever seen!
cool camera angle with the lighting at sunrise reflecting off the plane....too bad it wasnt done with a more realisit model..... (a prop engine on a model jet?)
The YF-12A Interceptor which was one the first ideas of the SR-71 was silver and black. Mr. Kelly of 'Skunk Works' which was a Lockheed section went against all that he was told for the design. This design was actually voted least likely to succeed. However, The Blackbird which still holds several altitude and speed records both officiall and officially have two awsome books about them and the men who flew them. One is 'The Sled Drivers' and the other is 'The Untouchables' they're a good read.
And on the engines, the cones at the front were adjustable to change how air entered in the engines. At high speeds, yes the engines worked SIMULAR to ram jets. but they are jet engines and they are in a sense liek the gentleman had said earlier they are like a hybrid.
The SR-71 only used its afterburners during take-off. When it was flying at supersonic speeds it didn't need the afterburners anymore. The J-58 engine worked nearly as a rocket-engine when the SR-71 was flying Mach 3
Its bypass-engines where working at Mach 3 like a ram-jet engine. The only thing you have to do is put some fuel in the exhaust and that will keep the thing going.... So I won't call that an afterburner, it's more like a ram-jet.
"The Pratt & Whitney J58-P4 engines used in the Blackbird were the only military engines ever designed to operate continuously on afterburner" Just look it up on Wikipedia.
As you can see on wikipedia at Mach 3 the engine gains 80% from its thrust from the by-passed air, some fuel is injected in the afterburner-section, but because it is bypass air, it is not AFTERburning, it's working like a ramjet.
lol "turbines" Well in fact they were hybrid which means that they could operate as turbojets at low speed but they turned into ramjets at higher speeds.
yes.. buy a TV Tuner card (it has a Video IN and AUDIO IN) they cost like 20-30$ then use TV Tuner software included in driver cd, it ables you to record from AUX video in.
@onlyatnight You would have to use a capture card.. The simplest, and cheapest way of doing this is using EasyCap.. It's available on amazon for like $9. Well worth it.
so i get the feeling it doesnt go mach 3.2 at 82000 feet

It costs a bit more than a hundred dollars for the plane. If you want it to fly, it costs about 300 dollars.

lol. too bad it hasn't got afterburners.
that would be the first RC plane to break the sound barrier xD

actually they allready done that they went hypersonic with a rc plane, the unmanned aircraft are rc planes if you think about it
