Read Al's comments about "there's comes a time in THAT Race, when...", on the 1992 opening. That's the mindset, and if people think it's insane, then they just don't understand.
How can anyone think it rational for to BACK OFF when you're 1.5 laps from winning the Indianapolis 500? Watch halfway down the backstretch, and Emmo DOES give Al room when he TECHNICALLY doesn't have to, and might crash them instead, when Al cuts low on the lap traffic and almost slams his car into him. Emmo also simply took an incredibly low line as the last option open to him NOT involving letting Al go, and possibly/probably win. [continued]

That was bush league Little Al took the proper line and Emmo took him out for no reason I admire Little Al for the way he handled it because I would've been pissed over that you don't do that to anyone more importantly a teammate damit it was so wrong.
they werent teamates at the time.... Emmerson was driving for Pat Patrick and Little Al was driving for Rick Galles. They became teamates in 94 when they drove for Roger Penske.

Emmo screwed him. Unser took a good, calculated line into the corner, Emmo damn near put it in the infield and slid into Unser. The F1 driver shoulda known better, But Unser got his. He won it twice after this and Emmo never had a sip of milk again... oh wait, he didn't drink the milk this time either... ass.
Nah, Little Al would have done the same thing. That's what happens when you're working traffic and going for the win of the Indy 500 with a few to go.
