this song is so beautiful and i love it so much and i miss the 80's so badly, this wonderful Ballad brings back so many happy memories for me and I believe the 80's was one of best times for romance !!! Everything was still innocent and music was filled with real love spilling over in their lyrics, today's music doesn't hold a flame to the music of our time,When I listen to this song, I can actually feel the emotions, now there's nothing.
One of the best voices in pop music EVER! I was so in love with David and the music from this band way back when.... He still sounds amazing today! Wish we could go back to that innocent time --- but alas, we can't. :0(
Remember waking up every morning to this on my clock radio years ago.Seem like it played at the same time in the early morning on 92.3 WXGT 92X which is now a country station here in Columbus.
IMO their best song. Music and videos will never ever be this good again. All I can do is come to youtube and watch stuff like this and sigh and say the good ole days. Night tracks was way better than MTV ever hoped to be and it was only on Friday and Saturday nights late night on TBS, I also watched Friday Night Videos, and HBO Video Juke Box.
This song was my absolute favorite! Takes me back to being 14-15. This song was everywhere that year, with good reason. I think David Glasper could tell me my sink was stopped up and I wouldn't care. He's so beautiful! Amazing voice!
NOBODY CARED THEN,LOVE WAS THERE,. SWEET LOVE WAS EVERYWHERE.OMG EVERYONE HAD TRUST FOR ONE ANOTHER.I WAS A DRUMMER LOVED ALL THE ATTENTION.FOR AN 12 YEAR OLD. BUT I COULD NEVR DESRIBE THE FEELING OF THAT AGE ....... ITS HONESTLEY WAS BTHE BEST TIME IN EVRYONES LIFE.
Aww the good old days when music made since and had meaning this song takes me back to1988 my senior year in high school!! The same year this song was release you just gotta love the 80s!!
Oh hell no!!! I miss this song - whaaaaat more can I say to you? ♬ I forgot about this song and video, and the men in the video look dayum goodt!! hahaha thanks for this
Breathe may not have set the world on fire BUT this song along with Hands to Heaven are classics because THEY ARE MUSIC.....not manufactured drib-drab we listen to today. As you can see, people are crying for good music & can't find it today.
i'm all outta words...... i dont know what else to say or do anymore. all i need is a spoken word, or something otherwise i've been a fool for you and its all in vain.
i cant do this by myself, it takes 2 to spark a flame..... i'm here waiting for your answer.
Singer David Glapser has a Great Voice. I Miss the 80's back when we had MTV ( when they actually Played Music 24-7 ) not like it is today. It's too bad we will never get to see a Reunion with All Original Members because Drummer Ian Spice Died in 2000.
the dude at 1:05 playing the guitar is he a singer in Tears For Fears, I be damned if he looks like the one singer in that group, and the one girl looks like Tracy Gold from family ties and now the Biggest Loser..lol...someone clear this up for me..lol...thanks
Yes it is too bad about Spike, the drummer. He was my favorite. R.I.P. And Davids voice is amazing. And Marcus with the guitar. I love this song. I always wished I was the girl in the hat when I was younger :) Breathe was the best!
I watch the video and wonder where it was filmed. The band is British so I assume that it was done in England, but I see an American mailbox and I wonder, then again it might simply be a prop.
This is the love song of all time, it defines a beautiful decade of music, the 80s. What a great time to have grown up, not to many worries, a better time of life. Just beautiful
i went to a concert back in 1989 in glensfalls new york, they were awesome, they sound just as good live as they do on this video. to bad the drummer passed away.
@woonyukwoo I agree. It's not that ignorance is bliss, I think we just learn not to trust. This song does bring back memories of when everything was still new and the possibilities seemed endless.
To the Poster: Believe me young man, the women in the 80's were smokin'! Check out some of the 'hair band" videos..ie: Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Cinderella, etc... There was an innocence to our age, after all, we're the ones who grew up during VietNam etc...Its time for another revolution right now, you young people gotta wake up! Us 40 somethings will lead you and show you the Way! the Hippies from the 60's are IN thier 60's and 70's now, but they will be with us in spirit! Cmon!!!!!

Oh, the days of great music and no Auto Tune. All I need now is an A Ha falsetto and a Johny Hates Jazz high note to make it complete.

It's time for a revolution, all right - a conservative, Reagan-style revolution. God save America from the '60s leftist hippies.
