The drummer is insane and he uses this tiny set. Watch typical to just get a glimpse of his drum set. And he makes it sound like he is playing on a million dollar drum set. Love this band, the first time i herd typical i was like wow this bans is impressive.

This is a very creative and original video. Very well done. Paper Darren rules. I try not to totally down on Mute Math. I liked Earthsuit better but Mute Math is still great and they are getting more mainstream exposure than they ever did as Earthsuit so in that respect Mute Math is the more successful of the two. But still, Darren has always been a crown jewel and a creative guy. I knew that whenever I went to church with him and seeing him burn it up on the drums.

@EphPhaThaINC -only one earthsuit song their single appeared to mention THE FATHER COME AND GET US even though earthsuit was on a christian label earthsuits lyrics did not refrence the bible that much and out of 4 mutemath songs their songs are just very talented good soundingand i cant understand what they are about... davidthe shepperd before he became a king in 2nd samuel didnt sing lyrics but with his gifted playing on a harp drove king sauls madness away temporarily atleast

Darren King is INSANE and has everything, from looks and charm to TALENT (unlike many drummers). When I go to see bands perform I always see the Drummers cuz they are fun to look at and I for one can follow them, others you see in music videos, and when I saw Darren King I knew that he was AWESOME!!! ME CAN COMPETE WITH MANY OTHERS GREAT DRUMMERS like the Muse Drummer. But I would be forced to say that Darren King would win, through a tough battle. xD

You know, after hearing the snippet of "Man Machine" somewhere in the second Earthsuit album, I have to say, these guys really remind me of Kraftwerk sometimes. I guess Paul Meanie brought that element to ES and carried it over to Mutemath.

I agree that it would be awesome to take this idea further. However, it doesn't hurt to point out that many bands have already tapped into that same direction for a video. Then again, Mute Math has always proven that they can take an old idea and improve on its methods (i.e. "Typical").
