When I played in a band, we got a video onto TV and we were stoked! It was a win win situation - great publicity. Youtube is like a 24/7 MTV where people hear songs and then can buy songs of artists. It is not a threat to CD sales , in my opinion, because the quality is average and you cannot take the songs to ipods or cut a CD. It is simply great promotion. So copyright artists should support youtube and use this media to increase their sales and promote their products. .
