  • what's the name of the song?????

  • i love toronto, it has lots of things to see, but lots more in dubai.

    Toronto is beutiful too.

  • Not American.. but i've been everywhere and New York is the greatest city ever constructed. No one could ever make buildings like the World Trade Centers or the Empire State Building or the Chrysler Building. Dubai is nice don't get me wrong, but New York is amazing.

  • i saw a video that theyre building a bunch of buildings over a mile high and one is supposed to be the square footage of texas

  • New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, Dallas, San Diego, San Francisco....ugh yea shut the fuck up..we will always be better!!!

  • @eaguir3 wow man so concieted..........just like alot of americans sigh.....

  • America will always have the most beautiful citys in the world. These buildings are all ugly.

  • HAHAHHA yeah sure!!!

  • America sux!

Criminality, fat people and ugly food, stfu New York!!!!!!

  • 0:57

  • 1- dubai emirati people are greedy when giving passports/visas, paying wages to poor construction workers and share wealth among only 12% of the population while others live in poverty

2- homosexuality is a big problem in gulf arab states with the lack of women (seriously i've lived in abu dhabi so i know)

3- local women wear ninjasuit burkas

4- dubai is being built on exploitive slavery

5- tortured refugees are persecuted by sheik Issa bin Zayed Al Nahyan

= theres a dark side to the UAE

  • @jigglyfidda125 Google this

The dark side of Dubai - Johann Hari, Commentators - The Independent

  • thank you a lot :)

  • sorry, I do not speak English, What is the song's video?

  • can someone tell me what is the first song please???

  • Yeah it's all great and that with its amazing buildings n' stuff butt they have a lot of dark sides.

  • like what?

  • Well, if they hace so much money to build all that kind of stuff, why don't they atleast try to make living standards good for all people in Dubai. I mean when i was there i was seeing allot of what look liked Indians or Pakistanis running around with some sort of wheelbarrow to carry tourists luggage for a living. And also the bad conditions the hired workers have to live with. I know they make more than they would back home, its still not a reason to not give them good living as well.

  • u see i admit there is this big problem in UAE, we are trying to fix it but every time more and more illegal workers somehow show up in the country smuggling along millions worth of heroin and cocaine. new labor laws have been introduced and labor unions thu very hard to implement now, will soon be introduced in the country.

  • so the goverment is really worried that the locals will overreact because herion and cocaine is very very very very bad in islam. people started freaking out and they say we dont want to be developing anymore, we want our country back as it was.

  • True, every government has its problems and I hope that UAE can cope with it. Then the UAE will be more than a pretty shell it will be role model for the region.

Although I don't like the idea of allowing so much alcohol so freely but that's a matter of religion and it's off topic.

  • yeah the alcohol problem was one of the big issue's and it was not that extreme, but what i can say, if you want westerners to come in you have to get them what they need, like clubs and alcohol. but i do admit it went way to much, specially some expats who come and dont have no sense of respect for the culture and they break the rules like drinking in public and having sex in the beach infront of our kids. we dont need people like that here :/

  • I can't agree more. Hope that arrest a while ago send a message to the rest.

and I don't think the UAE should adapt nor give in to western way of living. It would destroy the purity of the country.

  • agreed, i truly hope UAE doesn't become westernized, believe me if sheikh Zayed was still alive he will not allow anything of this happen. but what i can say, we will get our country back by force if we need to. i just hope Sheikh Mohd has us in his mind.

  • Insha Allah.

  • I can't agree more. They cater everything for the westerners while it's the south asians that do all the running around for $120 a day. From what I hear there's plenty of nightclubs and alcohol which is allowed freely, looking for a decent hotel they all had minibars in the rooms! I don't want that! In fact, I'm very put off the country with it being so focused on the beaches and nightlife.

  • The path the government of Dubai is taking is not real progress, it is fake. This is an excessive approach, and excessiveness is haram. They are trieng to create an international centre, by doing this they are going against islamic laws and allowing fornication and alcahol in a muslim land. This is haram. True progress comes from building knowledge and making the country stronger, more industrialised and self dependant. This is all fake and temperory.

  • yeah yeah, we hear haram and haram, with all what u see in dubai comes science and education too, and if ur talking about alcohol its even available in Saudi Arabia tooo, can u just leave religion out of it, but i agree what dubai is doing is excessive but in the brighter side its good for the country in the long run, oil accounts for 26% of gdp now and soon will be 5%, if we stay as we are depending on oil, when oil runs out we back to being fishermen and pearl divers heck die of hunger!

  • There was alcahol even at the time of the prophet, ppl will always somehow bring it in. The difference is in Dubai the government allows it, it allows openly the building of nightclubs and bars. There are other ways of becoming prosperous and building a strong economy, which dont require haram practise. For example why dosnt it focus on manufacturing and technology, rather than tourism.

  • Dubi is the best arabic city........

  • Man, wat a rich city...

  • I live in that city and if you come here there is hardly anything to do here.

    No fun things at all

  • Well, the only thing that i was amazed of, is that the government of this city... dubai is growing really fast... imagine from a boring city 10 years ago, and now look at it... And the arrangement of the zoning is very well-organized... it is designed not only for the people at this generation.. it is well planed also for the future...

  • ture i live here as well, the only fun thing is ski dubai...

rest is just hotels, malls, offices and aparments.

  • man livin ther wood rok

  • 1:54 amazing

  • Crass excess. Dubai is now mired in economic chaos. So much for greed...

  • It's Amazing and Beautiful to Beautiful

  • what's teh name of the song?

  • this song is from supafly - moving too fast

  • They still STONE people to death and circumcise women there. They play hockey with camel shit. Uneducated people with too much money from oil.

  • read a book will ya? stone people to death? have you ever been to dubai?

yeah you know i can say all Americans are serial killers and school shooters? you know i can use facts from fox news all day but the end i will sound like an ignorant dumb ass.

Maybe thats why 25000 people per month come in into dubai? they not fear stoning? lol ur silly for your age, such a shame such a shame

  • por favor podrian decirme como se llama el tema de fondo si alguien sabe!!!!!! por favor saaludos desde venezuelaa!!!

  • dubai is one of the greatest places in the world, its a dreamworld

  • sure... if you have a giante bank account. the others... well they could stay under a bridge

  • yes ofc if u got the money...

  • What are you talking about OghmaPT. You don't need millions of doallers to live their. Have you ever heard of New York? What terrorist have you heard of from Dubai?

  • m bn bntas constr futuris material

  • their GDP is only like 40 billion compared to the US's 14 trillion most of this is privately funded and only 6 % of that 40 billion comes from petroleum. so this money is coming from other sectors like tourism and real estate. they sell multi million dollar properties to people like tiger woods

  • 40 billion is not UAE GDP, Dubai is a city in UAE and if you realy want to see filthy rich that will put america to shame go to UAE capital city abu dhabi where they have 10% of the world oil reserves and 95% of all oil production in UAE. Free health care, free education, no tax for its citizens

  • Yeah that's pretty good for its citizens but how many in UAE is citizens of the UAE. Roughly one-fifth of its population. So that one-fifth live really good.

  • 2:13 i live at that hotel

  • Are you Working in the Burj Al Arab?

  • im styding architecture and this is just so fucking awesome man

  • would you blame a millionaire for having 100 cars if he has the money???...so fuck it...they have the money and the vision to do it!!!...God Bless Dubai and all the oil producers of the world, Im from an oil producer and thanks to that we have never produced shit and have a lot of money!!!...fuck our goverment which never have tought of doing things like these!!!....so dont be jealous and watch how they grow and stop talking like white trash!!!.."I would blow them..."...ha!!

  • what are u angry coz ur country cant do that???? hahahahha i knew it

  • Comment removed

  • iraq's going to be way better mate trust mee !!

  • is it foggy/misty in dubai a lot of the time?

  • dubai is best!

  • u got that right kinda

  • what happens when all the oil runs out? then they aint got no money!

  • thats why they are building all this stuff...they think it will be out within the next decade so they are trying too get other resources of money...tourism. Thats in Dubai anyways. In the other parts of the UAE they still have oil too last a while...Dubai is just a state in the UAE and also a city...in Dubai.

  • yea they are trying to build alot of stuff but this year dubai has been affected by the worst 60% house prices have fallen lots of construction gone dry and bankrupt F1 theme park now may be on the delay for a year and 100m link there is on hold with many like than and cancelled

  • whats the second song called?

  • i wonder if the whole economy problem affected them at all...

  • OF course it does, use your common sense.

  • Yes it did. The government put on hold alot of the major projects that were going on such as The Palm Jebel Ali and Waterfront.

  • Altough its all mindblowing, I would have built massive amounts of sustainable power farms BEFORE even planning of turning Dubai into a Mecca of modern architecture.

btw is 1:38 the 2.5 kilometres high plan?

  • all this buildings .. what about the nature ??

  • they have bio domes in some of those buildings... and nature in dubai?? it's a freakin desert man.

  • in the uk we have a thing like a bio dome and its called the eden project very nice tropical trees there and it dose get really hot in it (i was sweating like a pig ) so if it can happen in the uk then it can happen anywhere

  • what nature there nothing there its been proven there creating nature with the grass new trees ect... and underwater of the plam has now become a reef but no life in the desert so wild life is getting better

  • nice

  • bankrupt... you complete tool.

  • There will always be world hunger. Just ask yourself what you would do with your money. Give it to the poor and they will be fed for a month and then they are poor again.

    Personally...I love this video.

  • i know im not being nice but we do help the poor that do live in africa ect... but where does the money go and do they really get it its the government in them countries are taking it plus lot of these project are done by banks and big crop

  • i personally love it ! and i have no idea what u all are arguing about =S

  • why do you have problems with that? All countries have big cities, and towers. New York is building too, Moscow is building, Paris, London ect. Only because the Process of Dubai hasn't taken 400 years don't mean they dont have the right to build. They do only have 1 city, other countries do have Thousands to spend money in. Dubai itself don't cost as much as all the US cities together i guess. It's not fair to say that they're twats for not giving money to the poor only because of that, i think.

  • and yet they waste their money on all this useless british orders, but cant afford to stop world hunger!? And cant affort great educational science courses america and other countries have to offer, rather than their only lessons (bussiness)

  • If ever there was a reason to drill for oil here in America (like in ANWAR and offshore), this would have to be the perfect example. We need some of this money right now.

  • what's the name of this song?

  • Supafly Inc - Moving Too Fast

  • i want to live in DUBAI :-D

  • xGLITCHESx hey u asshole we r Not crazy ok dubai is better than ur ugly face okay!!!!!!!!!

  • people in dubai are crazy they dont know what to do with the money

  • nice video. What is the song called and who is the artist. thanks

  • Supafly Inc - Moving Too Fast

it samples phil collins another day in paradice

  • cool music and buildings

  • no kidding ....what about the big picture...sure is fun to watch though..2012 is a fact.and the facts cannot be denied.what a ride.has anyone checked out the seismos, things are increasingly active. Im not a doomsdayer..but its all interesting

  • China, UAE and India..have continuously growing economy..last year i invested almost hundred thousand USD in india and now if i sell it i would be getting atleast $60,000 profit on that. so if u are thinking of investing invest anywhr within these countries.

  • i love it

  • wow its incredible

  • its awesome.

  • It's amazing how these cities are built with American money, including mine.... Thanks for the gas...

  • Its amazing to see that without these sheiks in the middle east ur world in America would come to a stand still & you would still be pushing carriages, so if i were u i would be thanking the arabs instead of trying to score points out of jealousy, after all it is the same oil ur leaders are robbing & killing thousands of innocents of people in the name of "LIBERATING".

Atleast they produce their own & dont have to rob countries to succeed themselves.

  • I've always been for ALTENATIVE fuel sources. But you're right we have to use oil and gas to sustain our way of life, however, I doubt we'd push carriages as you say, we're too smart for that.

America is a very proud nation and we have nothing to envy. I personally live a very nice life here and don't intend to change that for a gallon of oil.

The new President will end the Iraq war and you won't have that as an excuse for hate.

Many of us are for peace and unity...

  • I meant pushing carriages as a joke or humour..

Lets hope u are right & things do go in a direction which enables peace to prevail & no country attacks another country for their own gain whichever country that may be wether its a muslim or nonmuslim country but i do feel the damage has been done & will take a very long time fix

  • I feel that there's more unrest to come in the Middle East.

How about the upcoming winter solstice on Dec 21, 2012? This is a bigger issue if it occurs.

  • Unfortunately u are right & whats happening today is going to be a picnic compared to whats 2 cum.Too much injustice has been done to just wipe it all under the floor.Even though Iraq & Afghanistan maybe a factor in whats to come i dont feel they are issues that cannor be controlled however i do feel the Israeli palestinian conflict is one that will lead to world war 3 without a doubt since neither parties would give in.

Didnt quite get the winter solice & 2012 part.Care to explain?

  • The date December 21, 2012 (13.0.0.0.0 in the long count), represents an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solistice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (The equator of the Milky Way) and the path of the Sun.

This time also represents the end of the Myan Calendar, so I've read. Earth passing through the Galactic Equator is said to have catastrophic effects... You should look up this info on the net., it's interesting but I hope it doesn't come true...

  • WOW Dubai.....

  • We can love again is the songs name.

  • whats the songs name?

  • Odessa 09

    Toronto 2010

Tel Aviv or Dubai 2011 !!!!

Travel and Partyyyyyy yeah baby thats life !!! :D

  • no way to compare between tel aviv and Dubai ,

the same think for Toronto ^^

  • my uncle lives in dubai and ive been there!

  • so how do you like it? my dream is to open a candle shop there--i know...dream on

  • MIT rules. proudto be.

  • i will be living there in a few years, after i graduate from MIT as a Chemical Engineering, Dubai here i come baby!! 2012 u will be my play ground

  • Last month The Atlantis hotel opened on Dubai's Palm island Hollywood A listers Robert De Niro, Linsay Lohan, Wesley Snipes..etc etc were there. The fireworks display that they had was seven times better than that of the Chinese opening of the Beijing Olympics. That means the arabs have got money to burn & these A Listers want to burn their money with the Arabs. I also bought an apartment in the Burj Dubai so i'll see all you beautiful people there.

  • Wait a minute how are they going to power all this. Are they going to create a nuclear power plant? Because if America allows that to happen then what do you think Iran is going to think?

  • "if America allows that to happen?" haha...in 20 years america will be reduced to a 3rd world country and dubai will be the new stomping ground for the super rich and powerful. the UAE and china now owns america. wake up and smell the oil!

  • china and uea wiping out America i feels like America is going down hill and the uk (where i live ) get the oil from there and the north sea until it runs out which is soon

  • yes, the oil rich Sheiks know that the oil is running out but it wont happen for several decades. because of this, their investing huge amounts of money on alternative energy and large business ventures so that they can still live like gods, hence the Dubai projects.

  • China may become a superpower, but the UAE is a 30,000 sq. mile desert with a hot tourist destination, it's no threat to the US in anyway.

  • right now the US economy is in serious debt crises. if the bailout fails the US will never recover from this crises and will forever be in debt to its loaners, which will be primarily China and the UAE. the wealthy will move to wherever the wealth is and it wont be in the US. Bush never cared a shit about america, he only cared about making his oil Sheik partners richer. Americans need to wake up quick and realize whats really going on with their government and take action.

  • what he said...

    Zeitgeist Addendum

  • playgronud for arquitecs.hopely it will stand the same way after 2012 the ocean its no joke .nature always claims what belongs to it

  • I just wonder who will buy in these places? Have they invested in education to have a middle class that can absorb such projects? Because if westerners keep getting arrested to kissing on the beach, is not likely they will have many moving there. What industry do they have other than Oil? It looks great, I just hope it works...

  • i think kissing in public should be allowed but no Dubai doesn't like that and beer there very expensive

  • if anyone wants to buy property in Dubai let me know.

  • Dubai is the "billionaires playground". Give me 10 years and I'll be chillin in the Burj Al Arab with Donald Trump and Larry Ellison. I'll hire the little millionaire Diddy to wash my shoes. Ahhh.....the life of a billionaire. :-)

  • are u a bricklayer urself ?? then how do YOU know either ???

  • I know simple as that.:) enjoy the video!

  • can some one tell me the name of the song??? and the artist?? pleaseee!!! exelent structureeee love it..

  • i wont say because it gets annoying every time people ask for the music there a link there with the list

  • Is It Good For Jobs Over There for a bricklayer...?

    Does anybody seriously know..?

  • Allegedly Jenny Young embezzled millions from this scheme.

  • im not talking about the buildings or anything like that! im talking about in terms of development and wealth! so um. YES WAY!

  • wanna stay in burj al arab for 1 night pay 20 million $ 7 star hotel well worth buy a tent 20 bucks lol

  • This is insane !!

  • sure but let's ask the question: How many of these office towers and thousands of condo and Apt building are actually occupied ???? Who is staying in these Thousand dollar a night Hotel rooms??? There is a world wide recession and now there are bloody pirates off the shores of Dubai !!! Dubai is headed for a HUGE crash. Too big Too much Too soon

  • Very Nice Vid Dude ! This Vid make me really want to go to Dubai! Well I got alot of time to go there Im only stil 16 ;) Well whats the song called in the start ? ;) KEEP in touch dude ;)

  • This isn't normal anymore

  • it looks like Dubai is the place for architects to express themselves without worrying about the cost of their imagination!

  • dubai is the rich city of the world! a!

  • wrong. Londong is the richest city in the world, even though it doesn't have magnificent skyscrapers...

  • Actually, it's not, Tokyo, Japan is. Then New York City. Then Los Angeles, then Chicago, then Paris, then London.

  • I didn't know Paris was richer than London, well you learn something new everyday!

  • Lmao DUBAI is not a city so u can know its a COUNTRY!

  • Dubai isn't a country though. It is a city. It is also one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, which is the country it is a part of.

  • The United Arab Emirates is the country. Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain are the seven Emirates that form the country.
