@triaprimamusic Yes I was brewing a Puer, the last of a 2007 shou brick. Cha Xi is designed for the eye. the jar serves the same purpose as the flowers of the fabric used for my Cha Bu, to add symmetry or to provide a shape or character to the cha xi. each ceremony being its own unique painting of infusions. in some cases it may even hold the tea being brewed. everyone has their own style of cha xi. please follow blog chaxicollective.tumblr.com or find my group on facebook

I've become very intrigued by gonfu cha and cha xi for y own tea preparation. Could you explain what the purpose is of the large jar in your set?
