  • what kind of welder is that? lol

  • I wouldnt be doing it over my block. no time at all to move to a table.

  • @STICKSANDSTONED Well if you actually watched and listened to the video I stated I only did it to show the viewer where the A/C and such would be and recommended not to do it on the block but on a table.

  • You can mig or tig. If you mig, PRACTICE ON SIMILAR METAL OR AN OLD PAN. Make sure your machine is SET for the work you are doing. Wirespeed and amps. Square wave tig with foot control is beast on just about everything that you want to finesse with. I love those machines.

  • You dont have to weld a bung. Use a bunkhead fitting with jb weld. Not even joking. It'll hold fine. If you have a welder, obviously use that over any kind of expoxy/sealant.

  • did you tig or mig weld?? or does it matter for this case? thanks

  • ALWAYS USE LUBRICATION!

  • @sickbro91 I dont kow sometime I like to hit it dry! :)

  • Could you not just drill and tap the hole and use some teflon tape or loctight instead of welding?

  • @supraman121 You could but I would not trust my $3k motor on it.

  • @joshds25 Is it likely it would leak?

  • @supraman121 Chances are alot more it will without welding.

  • @joshds25 my buddy and i got our hands on a welder and welded it in, how is your car running right now what was the setup you are running?

  • @supraman121 not running right now - in the works of finishing up the motor - my buddy and myself both each had a baby, I sold and bought a house and I am remodeling it, my buddy purchased a house as well. So we have been quite busy with no time to finish things up but we are getting started back on it in a few weeks now. Its going to be a 500rwhp+ setup details are not finalized just yet.

  • @joshds25 Its been a while since i looked through this video, congrats on the baby and the house, since i had my 240 turbo i have broken a guide and messed up the motor, im currenlty rebuilding it with eagle rods and wiesco piston, im not sure how much farther im going to build it up before i have it back up and running but ill keep you posted and good luck with your build and family

  • just did my oil pan yesterday thnx to this video but man that oil pan is a bitch to remove!!!

  • @randygalati removing the oil pan with motor in the car is a huge PITA! I usually opt to just pull the motor and do more maintenace.

  • hey nice video

but do you know if the sohc oil pan is the same as the dohc oil pan?

  • @dagger58 The SOHC oil pan is different than the DOHC

  • wats the point of the bung?

  • @vaca129 its for the turbo to drain oil back into the motor

  • dude... very fucking cool video... i did this once, but with the pan on the car... VERY HARD AND NOT RECOMMENDED... i should of taken it off... but it was a quick job tat i didnt care about... luckily no fillings fucked the motor up...

keep posting cool ass vids like this... us tuners need this help some times
