The mount with work with any standard VESA-equipped TV, but the remote motorized features work only with Samsung TVs (and there's no reason to get this particular mount if you can't use the motor; there are much cheaper and lighter non-motorized models).

That's a heck of a lot of cables! On my Panasonic HDTV, I only have the two HDMI's hooked up and the power cable, nothing else.

thats like my tv. But this seems sort of absurd. install a motor just tilt the screen? why not install some automatic red curtains that cover it from the air and oxygen when you do not use it?

It's IR. The mount is actually controlled (or at least powered up) via the TV, in that the mount can't be activated and moved unless the TV is on. The TV's remote is used to control the movement of the mount.

I have the same setup however I can't get the tv to let me move the mount via the remote. On the Setup page of the menu, the wall-mount adjustment is dark so I can't select it -any ideas?
