everyone, it didnt go in initially (sorry my spelling sucks) but during a shootout, to be a good goal, it must go in the net and he cant touch it after shooting it. he did both those things. it hit the post first but then the puck went off the goalie's back i believe. so it is a good goal
It was a goal , i think the reff thought he touched it twice before it went in but , No , it was a goal , but really it was a goal , And the video goal judge said "GOAL!"
@shawn939 yeah goal. if you want to talk about ref washouts you should try being a jackets fan. there have been more shady 5 minute calls to toronto that have recalled good goals than have ever happened to your team or the golden boy sid.
i remember watching a shootout when fluery made the save and the puck was rolling towards the net but he put his stick out and stopped it . i remember the brodcasters saying that the puck is still active until it stops.
Watch closely at the end. It goes off the goalie's back and goes in, which is a valid goal. As long as the shooter only makes one shot, anything that happens after that counts.
That is not the rule. As was eventually decided on review, it was a goal. As long as the player doesn't touch it after making the initial shot, any momentum/change in direction of the puck is valid.
nigellax. if you couldnt change the momentum of the puck. how would they stick handle if the puck wasnt infront of them. they can stick handle beside and where the puck goes forward and back.
Doesn't matter what the puck does after the player takes the shot, it's the player who has to take it up ice with continuous forward momentum, it's not about what happens after it leaves his stick.
lol..you fuckin idiot. obviously it was a goal. why else would he post it? either way i watched that game and so if the referees though it was a goal and made that decision why watching the replays, what the fuck are you talking about?
lay off the i think i know everything pills would ya?

Did the puck go in the net? Yes.
Did he touch the puck after taking the initial shot? No.
Those are the 2 requirements for a good goal. So yes, it is a goal.

I knew it was a goal by seeing it and by hearing the ''beeeeeep'' sound.

the puck bounces of the post and hits the goalie in the back and went in to the goal. therefore it is a goal. simple as that.

Sorry dude. It's not actually a goal. The puck has to continue forward momentum after it leaves the players stick.
