@tegbwoy91 fenders were a straight bolt on, aprons were left to the bodyshop. Early aprons are neccesary only if changing to early hood and decklid.

Hey did u change your fenders to the older style ones?

Yes, They are the pre 67's. I also changed the hood and decklid along with the aprons. So there is no real way to tell that it is a late model.

@tomaguitar Thanks! It's always better to use an early model if you can find a solid body thats not rusted out. I chose a late model because it was the only rust and accident free vw i could find. I really wanted to use an oval window, but couldn't find a good candidate, plus I've had this '69 since '03 and it's been dry stored for the last 13 years. If you feel that your '68 is a good foundation for that much of an investment, then I say go for it!
