  • What a brilliant song. What a brilliant show.

    Oh, Futurama.... Nothing compares.

  • whats the opening flute melody? ive heard it before. its synonymous with india im pretty sure. any help?

  • @Speicher075 It's a simple melody constructed by the original soundtrack writer for the show. Simple, yet beautiful. I'm sure you'll be able to find many songs that resemble it, but unfortunately it's just that. A melody.

  • Agreed is there a way i can find a song that sounds like the first 14

  • Is there someone who can tell me where does the persone who dislike this live ? è_é

  • i like the bit from 0:00 to 0:14 sounds lovely

  • This is also played in Bamboo Sun by Jens Buchert

    at /watch?v=A41dUYUlcJk around 1:00

    but with an extra beat.

  • I like the decorations and the intro and ending song

  • 1:22-1:42 . is breathtaking, and the best part.

  • bansuri flute also known as bamboo flute in the beginning.

  • I would LOVE IT if this is how music sounded in the future!

  • The last part of this always remind me of Outside the Wall... :)

  • Love the intro :')

  • what is the real life instrument used?

  • @lookie1992 nobody knows...... ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

  • I Like da Pics ♥ :D

  • Thanks a lot for uploading this wonderful piece of music i was searching so long. I only whish there would exist a longer version of fry's holophoner music. Again thanks.

  • i got a song for this music but no 1 would want to hear it ;3

  • The first part, and the end part are so beautiful, it´s a shame it last so short :-(

  • 00:30 - 01:08 is called Fry's Holophoner sonet

  • The last few seconds are what it about; it's not about how well Fry can play for Leela it's that he'll at least try his best, no matter what.

  • who know whats the name ofthe walz part??

  • 211 likes & 1 dislike? who killed it?

  • @arivas713 if you need me I'll be in the Angry Dome.

  • the last part, i swear, gets me every time....

  • beautiful.

  • Its so pretty!!!

  • It doesn't matter how beautiful rthe first songs are, I'll always love the last one the most!<3

  • what is the watz song fry plays 0:30 - 1:08

  • I like it more when Fry plays bad because he sounds so genuine and naive.

The holophonor sounds like an armenian duduk but still didn´t find anything so beautyful as the last seconds of this track.

  • @RottenHyena

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=tuAZFEqcgK0&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

there you go sir, sound just like his playing, its beautiful

  • i was the 200 person to like this!!!

  • i cant beleive the people who made this music were so modest that they didnt even make a CD of it or anything... i definitely would have if i were the composer of this !

  • this thing gets me everytime... ;D

    the first moments are great

  • Just found this. Can't Get Enough Futurama has guitar tab to song from Parasites lost. Don't know how good it is yet.

  • Thank you so much for the links. Now if only I could find out what the second song is called.

  • wow just like my saxofoon but than with a holo in the phoner

  • @erkandpent

try searching up bansuri or been or bean or even snake charmer

  • try looking up bansuri or snake charmer

  • I love the waltz section from .25 - 1.08 - makes me cry

  • Please someone transcribe the beginning of this. I'm begging you!

  • as a kid, i was always so pissed that they cancelled the show. the way Groening managed to draw me into the characters was just unbelievable. its been years and the sounds still haunt me..... damn you Groening!

  • 1:10 windows 98 startup song lol

  • that last bit, from untalented, to perfection makes me sad :(

  • has no one really found the song from 0:25 - 1:08? i would love to download the original..

  • @BabyBlueBoy1890 - if you ever find the answer, please post it up - I love that section, makes me cry!

  • Love the one at 0:30

  • This is beautiful! ^^ Thanks for posting this ^^

  • A wonderfull "remix" of the existing parts :)

I'm a little bit sad, because I can't find in youtube the holophonor part of "Parasites Lost" apart... You contain this from 0:28 till 1:06 .

It would be great if someone knew a link to this "song" :)

Sorry if my english isn't so good, I'm german. :)

    Cheers :)

  • I want a longer version to the last few seconds of this song! Does such a thing exist?

  • @erkandpent it does not.

  • @squangilious unfortunately

  • watch?v=s1s2emtoprs :)

  • @squangilious Actually...search Mountains of Assam.

  • @erkandpent Illusions of Taoism or Mountains of Assam. If I am understanding what you are asking.

  • @erkandpent Search for Mountains Of Assam and another version called Illusions Of Taoism. Both are versions that the first piece was created from. They are simply Beautiful. Thumbs up for everyone to see and experience this great music. I know many have been searching for it for years.

  • @erkandpent

on itunes is called cicadas and is made by lotus

  • @erkandpent yes i have found them before on youtube

  • @erkandpent "Mountains Of Assam" is one of them. i know there is at least one other (more melodic) song besides MountainOA . ...so, the holophonor tune wasn't composed for futurama, it is actually a real song!

  • @erkandpent That part always make me cry ;_;

  • @erkandpent You and me.

  • @erkandpent youtube Illusions of Taoism,

  • @erkandpent yes it does, check it out /watch?v=6KkDMBhrAD4&feature=related minute 4:40, its only a peace though, somewhere out there is that song

  • Comment removed

  • @erkandpent There is a longer version if you check my favs the latest one in there is a 2 plus min version of the last few seconds.

  • As many other people before me have said, the last 23 seconds are just beautiful. Truly. And it works so well with the plot, how the curtain of Fry's ability pulls back and Leela hears the music playing within Fry's heart, it's one of the most beautiful moments ever.

  • @GeorgeMaier I wanted to cry but I wasn't sensitive enough

  • The last 23 seconds of that, are so magical. Its the perfect end to a beautiful song.

  • @lXlSnype - you will not be able to find it without sound fx. trust me, this is probably the best version you'll get! :D or will find anywhere!

  • This is great, I can imagine this was hard to put together. Thanks for putting in the effort! The final piece is far by my favourite...its just so touching...and was damn near impossible to find till this came along, here's hoping youtube doesn't shut this down and lets us listen to it!

  • Can any one tell me what song it is that starts from 25 seconds to 1:07? I want it sooo bad with out the sound FX. I put it on my phone because I enjoy it sooo much. But it would be realy nice to have the full song with out any disruptions. I've been looking for so long now but got nothing from it. sigh =/

  • I love this it is so epic

  • Cheers for that! Quality video also! :)

  • the robot devil is one o my fav characterz and if they can do this since 1999 then they r SKILLED!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you SOOOO MUCH! I´m searching for soo long. thank you!!! thank you thank you thank you!

  • Don't u guys think the creators of Futurama are excellent writers? I mean, the continuity of the show, how it's consistent, is excellent, it has so many simple yet great storylines and this was the best way they could end the series in the original run. Even in "Into the Wild Green Yonder" they did a great series finale!

  • @arcticmonkeyzzz - yeah 'devils' hands' was a great end to the tv series. Admittedly I haven't seen ALL the 'movies' - since I've heard mixed things. But this new season 6 they're doing currently is still good :) I'm glad they're back on tv.

  • @squangilious me too :b

  • @squangilious yeah the movies are really mixed the most of them are bad i think... but the season final is awesome^^ i can watch this episode over and over again and i never seem to get tired of it^^

  • @squangilious Yes, I hope they can keep it up too, or at least stop while they are ahead, unlike the poor old simpsons.

  • @squangilious I realize this is 10 months later, but if you're a fan of the series, the movies are worth seeing. Into the Wild Green Yonder and Bender's Big Score I rather enjoyed, but the other two certainly weren't painful to watch, in my opinion at the very least.

  • @arcticmonkeyzzz You do know that comedy central is currently releasing futurama season 6

  • @ineedofriends ...yes... why would I not know?

  • @arcticmonkeyzzz

They are also rediculously intelligent. PhDs in biochemistry, masters in astrophysics, its astonashing to say the least.

  • @arcticmonkeyzzz it's not the end

    the show goes on

but it would be the perfect end

  • @arcticmonkeyzzz This show was ridiculously good. Easily one of my favourites. For me it's up there with Arrested Development and Community.

  • @arcticmonkeyzzz i love how they end things. even not forever but just showing how they could. the music is beautiful.

  • I really hope they do a new episode that has fry finishing that holophoner piece for Leela, which is the first 15 seconds of the video.

I was wondering why they ended such a nice piece like that....what a waste....

  • @conrifor the first 15 seconds are really wonderful!

  • i love the waltz

  • at the start of the song the instrument is called bansuri flute but i love the end bit of the clip

  • What's the real name for the instrument Fry's playing? I know I've heard it somewhere before...

  • that last clip from "The Devils Hands Are Idle Play Things" brings a tear to me eye, it's so beautiful... ♥

  • @HisForeverr it really is. Watching/listening to this with the iTunes visualizer is beautiful lol xD

  • @sebastianparche I have two meditation CDs with two (slightly differing) versions of this melody (not the melody is differing, just the way it is played). One is called "Illusions of taoism" and the other "Mountains of Assam". But that is by pure luck. I would not know how to find the music on the internet. Should I share the files with you?

  • As was said, the first excerpt is played on an Indian flute called a bansuri (if you search for it on YouTube, you'll hear a lot that sounds just like what you heard there, for example " Raga Shivranjani"). Another instrument that is similar in a way is the Armenian duduk, it's very popular with movie composers to evoke ethnicity (an example is the score to Gladiator [just type in "gladiator duduk"], or the scores to the Myst game series).

  • anyone know what instrument this is? its beautiful

  • Whoever conducted this music is a real genius

  • this is just soo beautiful . thank you so much . ive been trying to look for this for AGES ! i love this . the last part is my favourite 1:23 ... thank you so much . the end is not sad ... idk hwo to explain it kinda breaks your heart but in a .. weird way .. not sad or happy . :] LOVE IT

  • This is ace. I love it <3

  • the one at 0.27 is my absolute favorite... was this piece composed for futurama or can I find it on the Internet? I'd die to have it

  • @alinzelnan Christopher Tyng composed it specifically for Futurama

  • Never one to ever compare something to a recreational drug, but in order to describe the second act, that's kinda what its like.

  • @megaraptor0 ..... o.O I never said it WAS mine; I just mixed all the different parts together into one song.

  • @squangilious Wats the Song Called at the beginning??

  • @squangilious Wats the Song Called at the beginning?? and at 1:22 ??

  • @Pain77ful ... o.O it's not 'called' anything. These are unreleased from Futurama. They don't have specific names or tracks.

  • @Pain77ful Mountains Of Assam and another version is called Illusions Of Taoism. Listen to both :)

  • The begging and end are my favorite parts of this whole song, really beautiful! But what instrument is being used in the begging and end?

  • Was this played on a Duduk?

  • This is amazing, I really enjoyed it, especially the very end, easily my favorite part in Futurama

  • does anyone know if its a real melody by a real composer or just made up for the episode, also does anyone know the tabs or notes for this piece?

  • 1:22 to the end really makes me happy..

  • kinda wish this was a real song on itunes, its kinda cool, does any body know any bands that sound simmilar to this, especially at the end

  • @eian17 -- in case you didn't notice, there is a link to download this mix in the info section of this video ^^ so you can still add it to your iTunes xD

  • that last part every single time sends tingles down my spine. its so good

  • era un goso para el alma

  • @ InnerRise Yeah, it's all from various episodes where the Holophoner was used/featured. They melded together surprisingly well. And yes, the ending is my absolute favorite ^^

  • 1:23 actually made me want to get up aquire a higher quality of life.

  • I wonder how much money i can make by actually inventing a holophone.

  • So every single bit of this is from Futurama? How many episodes? How did you do it?

I like it. Especially the last part from the last episode at the end. It's sad.

"I want to hear how it ends."

    - Leela

  • @InnerRise yeh that is the best part :D so emotional made me cry.

  • @ InnerRise - Yeah, it's all from various episodes where the Holophoner was used/featured. They melded together surprisingly well. And yes, the ending is my absolute favorite ^^

  • @InnerRise I didn't think the ending was sad. I thought it was really sweet. It actually made my feel.

  • @ttzjoeb Made your feel what?

  • @InnerRise You know, like emotional. A mix of sadness and happiness. A feeling that I'm not exactly comfortable with.

  • @ttzjoeb -

I agree, the ending was really touching, and didn't make me feel sad, but really satisfied and a bit heartsick lol. A perfect, simple ending to a touching love story :)

  • @squangilious agreed

  • love this music thanks men

  • the end is actually rather special really great way to end such a great programe

  • Thanks again for all the comments guys! I really can't believe how many people love this haha :P

  • Tthis end ist best.

  • i love the beginning and ending.just.beautiful.

id love to actually play the real instrument =]

  • @krazykat172 I totally found the real instrument after one hectic obsessive search lol! The Bansuri Flute (Indian bamboo flute) search for it...

  • New download links (for those of you who might want to song itself that I edited together) - are in the video info.

  • It seems like something perfect- the last end of the song- to end a show, movie, song, symphony, play, anything! with. It makes me feellike there is something better in this world.

Hehe! I can't stop listening to it.. :'-)

  • I totally agree ^^

  • sometimes I get high and fall asleep to this. or I'll get high and watch the visualizer with this song playing. both are trippy. I recommend both. :P

  • what is the instrument they actually use for this?? it is so beautiful!

  • its a bansuri flute after earing this i wanted to learn to play one xD

  • 1:35 yeah it really is beautiful. it sent shivers down my spine to. amazing.

  • OMG!! Me too!! I love that sound!

  • I like this kind of instrument but i cannot know your name

  • Simply Amazing

  • What a beautiful piece of music =)

  • There isn't an entire melody. At 1:35, that's the end of "Leela's Opera" or rather, the 'Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings' episode. Unfortunately it's not longer. But if you want Leela's Opera, there's a link on the sidebar for it.

  • from 1:35 i would love to hear the entire song/melody,, how can i find it?

  • @bigharibo I have it (or at least something very similar). And since you are the third person I've seen here asking for it I shall upload a video with this music (or rather two videos since I have two versions).

  • 1:35 It's so beautiful it sends shivers down my spine!

  • its sooo bueatiful in words that i cant explian

    i love it

  • 0:25 is still the best! I would like to hear that live in a big music hall!

  • agreed

  • HEY PEEPS! Thanks for all the faves/ratings/etc.

The symphony is available for download on the sidebar info... as WELL... I've also included 'Leela's Opera' - for those who want that.

    ENJOY!

  • there's a link for download on the sidebar info box

  • please could you send me the link to download this? thanks

  • Can anyone tell me what instrument was used to play the part of a holophone? Its so beautiful.

  • If you look it up, there are various sites that discuss the possible instruments use to get the holophoner effect.

  • Ooh, thanks much =D

  • I like the last melody of the holophonor, very good melody.

  • Ok new info in the sidebar-info space... including a link for the mp3 download to those of you who have asked for it.

  • Please could you send me the link to download this please thank you x

  • done and done

    Nicely
