  • he done a shitty job with that one.... you are suppost to roll the top seaweed wrap into the bottom so that the bottom closes up the sushi leaving no rice falling out. :/ fail chef

  • @Whittjee :) well. if I were to lose my bamboo mat, i'd try using maybe a flexible book cover? magazine (and the like) lol. anything hard and rollable :)

  • in some cases, the salmon is smoked before use. i use smoked salmon in my sushi and it's delicioso!!

  • The bacteria and parasites will be dead if salmon was frozen for a long time. I'd say -4 degrees fahrenheit or below.

  • I would not even take a chance with raw salmon. Parasites.

  • If you get salmon from the ocean there won't be parasites because the salt-water is anti-bacterial.

  • Right, only wild salmon contains parasite from swimming in fresh water. Wild salmon needs to be frozen in a commercial freezer before it's safe to eat. Farm raised is ok since it's ONLY been in salt water. The only drawback to farmed salmon is that it doesn't taste quite as good as wild salmon.

  • Tapeworms nor any other parasite have ever been found in farmed Salmon. Salting the fish for an hour of so can also be used as a precaution although not really necessary.
