When living in Alexandria, VA I was very psyched to watch him and Jim Vance on NBC 4 work their chemistry like a Johny Carson and Ed McMahon duo. I was born in NW Washington in 1975 and remember watching Vance, Gentzler, Michaels and Ryan at 6 pm every weekday until I moved from the area in 2002. In all the states in which I have lived, no local newscast can hold a candle to this team. It is odd to say, but I truly miss them.
