  • I play it pretty much the same, with some added fills, check out my cover if you want

  • ah man!! i love you! thanks soo much!

  • Thanks man!! really, great video. It helped alot. More playing less talking!! best tutorial so far!!

  • I have a Fender too. I can see its potential when I watch you play. Thanks for the clarity and that you showed me the pentonic scale in action. Cheers

  • go fenders!!!!!!

  • Best lesson of this song, thanks!

  • finally a good lesson! really helpful man, thanks

  • Great Tutorial, if anyone wants to know how to play it the easy way, with strumming instead of finger picking(also sounds very nice), watch my video!

  • this is not how its played

  • fine work m8. Gonna take me some time, but wth :) lovely guide.

  • Nice one. tabs pleeeassse!

  • hey man, this is great. huge help, got it second time through -keep it up.

  • we need more videos like yours dude! thank you some much!

  • take of the horrible amp reverb and it would be ok

  • Sweet thanks man you helped a lot. =]

  • I thought that was pretty cool man!

I had a nice little noodle along with you, very chilled. Thanks

  • I must say that is some pretty amazing playing no doubt about it.

  • nice playing, the being is easy to learn but the rest would be quite hard. would be very good if you had posted also your tabs for it.

  • Great job man.

  • thanks u help a lot ;D

  • if you read the discription.. it says inspired by john mayer.. its a cover.. his version..

  • Nice impro DUDE !!! Thats great :) I was expecting to have the actual song tutorial though :( . Im disappointed but great work nonetheless man ^^

  • nice strat, can't beat it

  • Very nicely played man, keep it up

  • Nice man! very helpful vid! :D

  • Just a thought from an instructional point of view... You may consider leaving the "improv session" out of future tutorials. Don't get me wrong, you did wonderfully on those parts, but that should be saved for a "performance video", unless you intend to give instructions for the improv parts ;).

  • It helped me with a part but no to do all the song

  • you forget the stop rithm between a chord and others...but nice tone

  • damn good man

  • thanks... i learned alot from it... post up more please!!! in thirst of learnin!!

  • Hi Guys.

    Thanks for all the comments.

For all you guys who want the tabs i'm sorry. I don't have it written down, and I don't have the time for it right now.

But I should mean, that it would be worth watching the video a couple of times. If you look intense you should be able to see what I'm doing. :)

  • Excellent. Could you possibly send me tabs? Thanks.

  • thanks for getting straight to the tutorial instead of introducing everything and all the other bull

  • Supper... Thanks for the TABs if you have time.

  • Is amazing!

Can you send me the tabs for this please?

    Bye!

  • Awsome version! Can you send me the tabs for this please?

  • Comment removed

  • really good man

  • Hi ! Nice improv =D

But can you tell me which scale(s) are you using please ??

[Forgive me for my bad english I'm French ^^']

  • I think most people are right about it not being mainly a tutorial, but I gotta say...your improv sounds beautiful.

  • oh sweet

do u have a loop pedal?

  • this is amazing

  • great stuff very simple to read

  • cool, very helpfull

  • right for the most part... only needs the slap thrown in there, otherwise it sounds way too "open stringy" it drags and it loses it's percussiveness that John plays it in. not bad though.

  • Great man!! Very inspiring and tutorialic!

  • I thought the improv was the best part. Learning how to add some "color" to a very basic song. Thanks!

  • BadMaggie-> Yes the improv is nice, cheesy but nice. I just think its a little short and missed to be called a tutorial. Tutorials are to teach the song, and this barely starts the actual beginning and then goes off on a amatuer single string pent. line. Messing Around Video

  • basically there, but wheres all the hammer ons and pull offs that make the song what it is? Nice try but I think way too much time was spent on the improv thats not even in the song, cheesy single string pent., not a very informative tutorial, i would remark this as a personal "messing around video"

  • Hey Bro. Pretty good, but I think if you are going to post this as a tutorial, then you should focus on the actual song and lay off of the improv, because you really didnt even include any of the H-ons & P-offs in the intro and thats the most important part, the rest is just simple chord picking, ya know? Nice try though

  • this helped a lot, but basically what Dunderkladden said, ure missing the strumming parts, and its the strumming(light hammering) in the middle of the song. its like at 2:17 - 2:40 in the video of john mayer playing this song. pls add that part, if you would. thanks! and thanks again for this tutorial.

  • yea, help alot, but the whole piece ain't there :S There's a part missing.. :/

  • Great sound man. helped a lot.

  • 3:08 riff you could do that at least 3 more times. that would sound bad

  • very nice guitar. sounds really good

  • congratulations!Great tutorial and very good player!! Maybe slower movements?

    Bye!

  • All right, sbheighgain. Maybe I am, but you could at least tell me what you think I am doing so wrong.? Pleease :)

  • Nice guitar.

  • I just had to favourite this! Great stuff!

  • very nice, I am trying to get it down thank very much for the video man!

  • that sounds sick dude

  • nevermind....saw that you answered this on prior page

  • nice sound. what amp and effects did you use?

  • thank you, very much, i love this song

  • emm how bout tabs

ya know after the finger picking part

  • andreas - i like that tone... i am curious as to what specific guitar/amp/pedal set-up you are working with here?! sounds great

  • Thanks.

I'm using a fender 57' reissue relic strat through a line6 DL-4 into a Bassman top, with 2x12 Matchless cab.

    :)

  • good improv haha

  • Thanks for the comments.

    I'm glad I could help. :)

  • excellent job man!

  • well done thanks man

  • this really helped!

    Thank you so much!

This pretty much made my day.

    =]

  • The key is not C, it's F. Great job though, love it =)

  • F, Fsus4, Fsus4, F, Fsus2/C

  • yayyy i love you!! haha

  • najs:)

  • That was awesome man, sk8erpunk is probably gonna post a vid of guitar hero or something. I do have a question though (my music theory is not up to par yet, sorry). What key is this in? I was thinking G, cause that's where the capo is, yet you do the improv part (which sounds dead-on) in C. Favorited though, thanks alot!

  • Im pretty shure the key i C.

All my playin' is done/figured out thinking "in" C.

    :)

  • this is wrong your gay get better ears. and yes im about to post a correct tab of this

  • Well thanks :)

I will buy a new pair of ears. I think your going to re-post that comment on a lot of other free fallin tutorials/covers. Have you seen others?

I'm curious to see your "im better than all the others" video. Don't let me down, you know im going to be the first watching it ;)

And again, thanks about the positive comment.

  • Yeah man dont sweat that asshole. There will always be people who try and put you down no matter how good you may be and how horrible they are

  • lay off him, he did a good job. x
